Get your experience...im 8yrs BSN get 2 yr ICU experience and go travel then come back you will make more. In the last 7yrs ive made nothing less than 120k per yr
Transparent life of Dee Dee damn u must have a very stable life My dad makes around 35k my mom makes 45k And I’m grateful for what I have but rarely is my family able to buy us anything we live paycheck to paycheck because I have 3 other siblings and we usually never get things on Christmas or 20$ on b day I’m still grateful because i could be living in a clay house with little to no food
All my nursing staff and healers out there, please remember to take care of yourself. You count first. U can only gift what u have. Salt bath, meditation or proper workout, healthy organic meals, hydration, sleep and sunbathing (yes my dark skinned girls the sun is amazing for u) 🙌🏾✌🏾
I’m a sonographer ( ultrasound tech ) in Connecticut and make more than that with less stress. Nursing is not the only medical job that makes money. Not to mention I go home on time everydayyyy!
Mellissa Henry-walsh I believe it but everyone choose a different path in life for a reason. I wanted to switch from LPN to physical therapy cause I was stressed out but then I realized that’s not my calling.
I want to do sonography, but ugh 2 years not working. The programs here in nyc is 9 to 6pm everyday for 2 years, i have a kid i cant .. do that but i sooo want to do that
I love being an RN and no I might not get to go home on ti mb e every night. I'm not there for the paycheck as good as the money is. Being able to help heal people and make a difference is what matters to me. I tell people if u r hear for the paycheck this field is not for you. U gotta have a lot of heart and compassion. I'm an ICU nurse.
Not about the money. It’s all about what makes u happy. The money follows your happiness. What’s good for u isn’t the same for someone else. If you are happy, no need to compare yourself with someone else’s paycheck or happiness. Beautiful video chica. I was a LPN-RN as well. Hard work 🙌🏾 Now, I’m following my dream with no paycheck at all 🤣🤣🤣. I’m happy and money catching up to me. U look extremely happy. Shed more love in this world lovely!!!!
Just watched the whole video.. I'm a fashion designer (got a degree in fashion as well) but also back in school as a pre-med student (to become a doctor) .. my sister is into nursing so this video will definitely be helpful for her .. thanks!
I worked Neuro ICU 3 years after graduating from LVN school 17 years ago. Now I am no longer educated enough to work in the hospital at all. Go get your BSNs and do contract work and you can make 70k+ a year in Texas.
Shelly Well I have a few jobs lined up in Texas as we speak 🙌🏾. I’m thinking of just doing traveling for now till I find out where I want to raise my family.
I'm a LPN with 20+ years of nursing experience and recently got hired for the neuro floor at the local hospital. I asked them why they decided to bring the LPNs back and their response was a nurse shortage in the hospitals. I politely told them that's because the LPNs were kicked out or displaced and the RNs saw their case loads increase and decided to leave, PCTs can't do what we do so it left a lot on the RNs. The RNs there now are studying for their masters or to be practitioners and plan on leaving. They're there for the experience but plan on leaving. They have no desire for floor nursing so the majority of the hospitals are filled with travelling nurses. The program I'm in requires me to go back to nursing school which isn't a problem and they'll provide tuition assistance. The LPNs working in the critical care areas must take the critical care class to become certified. The hospitals here in StL or bringing the LPNs back which is great.
Very true Shelly. Magnet status has hospitals focusing on degrees instead of quality/experienced nurses. Been in Houston metro area since 2015 and all the surrounding hospitals are pushing for BSN.
I’m in school currently finishing my pre req for the RN program and this was very encouraging salary wise as well as the comments. I am so excited to be a NICU nurse 😩🙌🏾❤️
The nursing homes here in Michigan is where the money is. That's the difference here and home care you can get $300-400 just to open home care cases. Congrats on your RN
Hi, I’ve been an LPN for over 30 years. I have always regretted not becoming an RN. I am making more than most of my coworkers that are RNs. I am conflicted because I want to earn my RN. I am however planning on working about 5-7 more years and don’t know if it would be be worth it to take a pay cut....
I’m a medical assistant currently attending BMCC in Manhattan to become an RN. I’ll be graduating with my associates degree 2018 winter. Then going back to get my bachelors. It’s so hard folks. It’s hard I’m not going to lie. I’m currently taking 5 classes 18 credits this semester and like I said it’s been rough but I’m hanging in there. I know it’ll be worth it. Whatever God says you can do, Trust me you can do!!!!! I also worked as a PCA in a hospital for 10 years on a Med Surg floor so I fully understand where you’re coming from. No med surg for me burns you out🤦🏾♀️. But I would advice new RN’s with no experience to get their experience there. You learn everything!! Pray for me folks. They journey is not easy.
I take my nclex next wk wish me luck folks. So I read an article about a man who lives in Georgia but also has a nursing license in the Bayside of California and he works there per diem. So he makes tons of money working in California and he brings that back home in Georgia where the cost of living is less. For someone who is single like myself with no responsibilities I would say for anyone who's interested maybe that can be an option. That helps dismantle the equivalent of getting paid more in California but it really not making a difference because the cost of living. At least when you are bringing home a California paycheck and a state where cost of living is cheaper it is all worth it
Somewhat true. U need a California license to work in Cali. Housing in cheap in central California and pay is still good. Avoid LA and San Francisco area. I'm moving back to California in 3 weeks from Texas.
I have been an LPN for 12 years & will soon be an RN. I think you can finesse pay if you know how to sell yourself. Thank you for sharing AND Knowing your worth!
Happy for all you girls advancing your education. I was an LPN x2 years RN x9 years and now I am just about to graduate from NP school. The beauty of nursing is that there is a lot of upward mobility that you can't get with other professions (e.g dental hygienist) so you can go as far as you want. Congrats girls...keep striving 😤
I Just wish nurses would do the job because they want to care for patients I have had terrible nurses over the years so bad I tell my family never leave me alone at the hospital
it's also important to remember pay grade is based off cost of living in each state, I live in NC where the cost of living is middle class. so $20-25hr is affordable. but making that amount somewhere like CA, would seem like minimum wage
That is a good statement because you can tell the people that are doing a job and they really don't like it.. and they're doing it for the money they have no bedside manners and very rude. Nurses are my favorite people..
This was the most transparent video of nursing pay I’m not going into nursing solely for the money but want to be able to pay back student loans and live of course... very informative!
Christian Coleman thats all she talked about! Not how compassionate she is about patients or residents and or accurate or knowledgeable she in the field of nursing and got the nerve to brag about pay lookin like a new raggedy ass aide.
Amber Cole my friend just moved out to Cali and she makes $102 an hour to work in the cath lab. Cost of living don’t matter when you’re making money like that lol
I always wanted to be a Nurse (no kidding), I always was attracted in working in the Medical field. I wish I could’ve stayed in school for Nursing. My Auntie who passed was a Nurse in the Military, my other Auntie on my Mom’s side is a LPN & my cousin is a RN. I guess Nurses run in the family. I need to find my true calling. Thank you for sharing the video. Also new subscriber here 🙋🏽♀️
Like the video but I also believe that pay varies on what state u live in as well pay is gonna be more bc rent is higher you will need that extra money unlike a state that has low rent your income won’t be as high but at the end of the day the pay evens out to the same bc all that money will be spent on rent
Chris Smith it does vary by state. For my case, the area that I live in cost of living is high. The cost of living is going up but yet the pay isn’t so I know a lot of nurses that struggle due to this.
Kim Rumph. whatever you do get her to a community college with LPN program then 1 year 2 years experience with credentials/ credits behind her then go back to school get her Bachelors as a RN. plus experience she easily make $80K ~ $90K to start easy especially the big cities or assisted living facilities... as the gent said a CNA is a quick route fall back to see if she really like the medical field... also a Physician Asst.. big bucks $100k plus ever decide to become a doctor in training..jb I know I have 3 Masters I see the operations of it all..
I am in school to finish my gen Ed before I start the nursing program. Thank you for being transparent. I'm going to make a R.N. vision board for myself.
Wow that's not much here in texas... rn make like 5000 monthly here in TX more than that with experience...lpn make 3800 also with experience you makes more...we have a shortage of nurses here...
I tried to become an RN but my math and science grades were too low and the program is too competitive. They have straight A students to choose from and admit to their program, spaces are limited and the A students are the ones competing for those limited spots. They say there is a shortage of RNs but the school requirements should be strict, especially when people's lives and health are at risk. How much do you pay for RN liability insurance?
I never understood that either. Where I live it's a high nurse shortage, but they make it so hard for people to get in the program. Everyone can't get all A's,and I feel it's unfair that they look past a potential great nurse because they didn't get all A's. Good grades is cool don't get me wrong, but that doesn't mean you will be a good nurse. I worked with nurses who were top of their class and let me tell you, I would rather die before I let them touch me.
I want to be a nurse so bad. I'm 26 and I been a cna for 5 years. I don't know if I should do the lpn program or community college. This video help me alot
Carissa Foster you have an advantage because you have a lot of CNA experience. Any route you choose will be golden 💕 go for it and you won’t be disappointed
PurpleReign 413 I recommend you go straight for RN . I’m 21 in my second year of college I just changed my major back to rn my dream job is labor and delivery I live in MINNESOTA and LPN starting wage is 22 here so ima just go straight for RN
I went to BD. Of Education Adult Practical Nurse program I am a travel LPN my highest rate is $35 hr. /in facility & $40/ for flu shots. I have a wonderful career. RN is also a great career.
I work as a Home health RN in Los Angeles.... take home pay weekly ranges btw 2-5k. Amount depends on how many hrs you put in. Nursing is a career path that one can’t regret, especially if u ready and able to put in the work.
80 hours!!!!!! For that?!?!?! I'm not knocking you but thats a ton of hours for that much. In my regular 48 hour week I take home 1900. I'm a 16 year paramedic. I do want to pursue a nursing career after i retire but I'm not working 80 hour weeks for that. Good video though.
I call BS. Paramedics don't make anywhere near that type of money! stop lying! Even after 16 years you're telling us you make over 50 per hr?!!! Yah ok.
I’ve been a LPN for 2.5 years and just graduated from RN school 2 weeks ago. I currently live in Florida and they pay you between $16-21/hour....I started at $19 and after two years they gave me $20...I quit shortly after...it’s ridiculous factoring in the cost of living in this state. Im doing home health and Istudying for my board and will be moving up north.
Florida and the south pay much less, here in the north east we make almost double that. After you've gotten 2 years of experience you should move to this area
I just wanna do my LPN it’s 11 months over here in FL but every facility an hospital pays different an agency plays a big part in it too cux they pay $26-30 an hour
Wow !!! To go back to school for your RN degree for a paycheck like that doesn't seem worth it. I have been a LPN for 12 years I Currently make $30/hr with a 60 cent raise every year. I only work six 12 hr shifts and my biweekly paycheck is $2150. NP I get free Healthcare for myself only. Not free for my kids and husband. I get 4 weeks paid Vacation and 2 week paid personal days so every year on my D.O.H Anniversary, which I also get an extra 12 hrs pay for ,my annual Anniversary check is sometimes $7000. NP or more. I Absolutely love my job. I just feel pressure from my friends who are RN's to go back to school just to get a higher education. I am trying to decipher if it's worth it for me. My husband owns a trucking company so he is the breadwinner for our family. So it's not like I need more money.🤷♀️ I don't want to go back just for a title of RN but some people make you feel like you are not a nurse if you're an LPN. People just have to do what's best for them to stay sane and satisfied.
@@PurpleReign413 Or what was your hardest classes subjects as an obstacle while working towards your RN. I'm a CNA it's been almost 10 years but I've been out of work due to high risk pregnancy. I really want to start my own business but at the same time I'm trying to decided if I should at least go back to school to further my nursing. CNA drained me between the constant short staff and having to take on extra work dealing with irate family members who never come to visit their family and being over looked by staff for the hard work you do. I also did hospice and home health and that was nice, I also traveled locally and that was nice too but the pay wasn't the best and I had to make them pay me mileage.... trying to decide what I should do...twins on the way...
Im a real estate agent making a little over 100k a year in sales. Im also a landlord with 5 rental properties that is additional income. With no degree just high school diploma. I thought about being a nurse but its too much work and too much debt if you didn’t get a full ride. Congratulations to you though Nurses are very strong I love all of you❤️
Wow you’re lucky to have found hospital LPN positions in NY. My friends and I (NYers had to go to Jersey just to find a program that didn’t have a crazy waiting list. Afterwards they couldn’t find jobs for 6-8 months as new grads and same for me after moving to Miami. Still can’t find LPN hospital jobs and now living in Seattle where there are decent paying jobs for us here. Did my ASN in Miami but NCLEX got the better of me so I continue LPNing 😆 NYC area is hard place to get into any nursing program especially if you’re not a straight A student. Great video and thanks for posting.
It's funny you said that regarding LPN's essentially not being regarded as a nurse. Where I live, they are treated like a nursing assistant. Why have the position available and not respect the credentials?
Naturally Yours LPN’s get no respect. I did a lot of the same things I’m doing now as an RN. I’ve been treated and talked to like 💩 when I moved to Florida. They tell us we’re not “real” nurses yet still we had to take our boards just like an RN 🙄.
Agreed. A lot of LPN's doesn't get treated right. Hell a lot of RN's doesn't get treated right by the doctors. Knowing damn well doctors need nurses. Majority of the nurse's I know are way smarter than doctors!
@@PurpleReign413 You will not believe this. Making 6 figures , working less hours , a lot of teleworking so I get to spend a lot of time with family. Working in respectful environment. Less stress, less females. Lolzzz.
I was a mortgage loan closer no school at all, my checks were more than that. Plus bonuses. The only field I could go in and make a good amount without school. Hated college. Just a thought.... Congrats MS. School is tough.
Yesss that's field i 💜 to GROW in..i was making decent money as a mortgage closer as well...but not more than her checks..how was u making that much wit out no education?
That’s why I’m n struggle to get accepted to the ADN program now if i gotta work i May as well get paid for it ... LPN Jobs here are basically limited to Nursing homes and they aren’t my thang ... congratulations on your success
I am going through the same problem right now. I have cleared $100k a year the last 5 years by a decent LVN/LPN base rate and great OT, but now I am getting offered less base rate as a RN. It is a bummer but I want that ED experience. Louisiana is backwards as well with the hospitals and nursing home pay. It sucks, time to move back to Cali.
I am so happy to hear from a New Yorker 😀😀 I am living in NY and I want to start my LPN then move to RN...however I didn't get the name of the school you went to in Long island...I would love to find the very best LPN program to attand...thanks for sharing...God bless you!
Logan Holst nah bro the world is definitely falling short on Hand skilled labor jobs If you can continue ur job as a mechanic in about 5-10 yrs businesses will be willing to pay a lot more for people like you I’m a 15 year old also going into skilled labor because I want to be able to fix my own car if I need to and not get scammed by Other mechanics who Will literally break something in ur car just to fix it for money and also if I ever don’t get a job I can just rely on my labor skills and get hired somewhere easy and quick Btw at my highschool you can take an auto tech class which we go to a building everyday and learn and work on cars and if we do it for 3 years, we will be certified to work in big businesses and be promoted easily We are basically gaurenteed to be making no less than 80k a year straight out of highschool we are one of the only schools to do this so I’m pretty lucky Sorry I love to talk about this cus it makes me happy
You'll get paid because being a nurse, aside from the good pay, they need the muscle which is a shoe in for being hired. They know a woman can't pick up a 6'2 250lb male without assistance.
I live in a rural town in Minnesota and as an LPN they start somewhere between $16-18/hr and and RN starts at $32/hr in the hospital. So for us it is double to become an RN
@Karen Reed Okay!? They cracked down on one here in my state. "No entrance exam", got them into HIGH student loans, when they tried to transfer their "credits" no one would take them because the next school said the curriculum was NOT up to nursing standards, or the school was never even accredited with the nursing board. People must investigate first, go to a community college. Much cheaper.
i love your personality. Thanks for sharing your story. It's a good thing you met the lady on the bus that gave you the information you needed at the right time. Congrats
Wonderful video. After 12 years in Police work I'm strongly considering the LPN path as a start to the medical world. Any advice would be great. And thank you.
I have been an RN for 32 years. I graduated from BCC and College of Staten Is. started In private, but left to do Level one Trauma centers, Jacobi, Harlem & Bellevue. I stayed at those hospitals because of the camaraderie , benefits and the pension! You can always work per diem outside! I’am an OR Nurse so I get work anywhere! As a NYC employee, you will have the best pension system! I now work for the dept of health. When I retire in five years, I will make more money retired than working my regular job! HHC always have OT. When you are young, you are more focused on money! Plan you future wisely! Time goes by very fast! Good luck!
Yasss girl. Im from Brooklyn too. Im graduating from nursing school in jersey in 3 weeks. (Been here 10 yrs) Im so excited😁 Thanks for sharing. Good luck with everything moving forward!
Was difficult to follow for me. I live in Texas. After becoming a Registered Nurse,I worked fot the Tarrant County hosp., gained incredible experience, then completed a 2 year Anesthesia Residency, titled as Advance Practice Nurse, CRNA. That means Nationally Certified Nurse Anesthetist. Going to school is difficult. All of mine was pay as I go, and one partial scholarship working full time. I was married with 2 then 3 children, graduated with a 4th baby in my belly and a not helpful husband. If you are single, with no children, get all the education you can. I'm proud of you recognizing you didn't need the elementary courses. I'm also glad you negotiated your worth. It is so common that many white people use, "Fake It Till You Make It" (I saw it on a commercial the other day). We as people of color MUST know our stuff! Be better. Success to you and your family. I didn't see your pay stub but believe all you said. I chose to take a lesser pay for experience in Intensive Care and Surgery. People saw my work and knowledge, then were the doctors who referred me to Anesthesia School, making me the 2nd black CRNA in Texas. So get it while ypu can while young and have the energy. Good Luck!
Christine Theodore, RN-S I got offered $46 to work at NYP when I graduated from my RN program. I’ve been thinking about taking a per diem position there and flying out to NY every month to work. Still trying to weigh the pros and the cons.
Love Tilly I believe only BSN but I guess they'll consider you if you have nursing experience. She has lots of experience under her belt as an LPN and worked at Kings County so it makes her more marketable.
I graduated LPN school in February ‘19 and took (passed) NCLEX-PN March ‘19 and I’m not going to work as an LPN. I was accepted to an LPN to RN program starting in August ‘19. My situation was similar to yours being that I spent time at a community college and did all my prerequisites but couldn’t get into the RN program. It might not be ideal but I was not about to give up on my dream.
I went through the same thing..started out in RN school with pre reqs only to find out the waiting list was horribly long, so I got my lpn, I make what a new rn prob does in the hospital. I've been a lpn for 7 years now! I'm so desperately wanting my RN! Good for you and I pray I get mine soon! ♡
This is sooooo encouraging...Blessings 👏🏾 I am 34 years old w/ 4 beautiful children and I would like to become a Nurse as well.... but I do not know where tonstart or which way to go while working so I often get discouraged 😓 I can't leave my job because this is my only source of income 😩 I completed a PCT class and externship in 2011 (while pregnant w/ my twins) but I never did my state exam smh😌 I know it's not to late for me though... I really want to get started so I can make my family happy. So proud of you Ladies 🙏🏾❤️
I have been a CNA for 14years have been on the same job for 13years my pay is good for being in HOME HEALTHCARE but I also put in the man hours for it too be,, it is my heart's desire to become a nurse but it seems as though I always have things standing in my way, also I'm a single mom of a high school female who wants me to become a nurse as well especially before her senior year and before it's time for her to go to college, because I want to be able to help my baby girl why she is in college, she also wants to be in the Healthcare field as a RN with her BSN or become a Nurse Practitioner, unfortunately My job doesn't offer tuition reimbursement I feel as though I'm stuck in limited to a CNA I always felt like I'm supposed to be a nurse such as a LPN or RN my plan was to become a LPN first and then work my way through school to become an RN but things doesn't always go according to plan, so I'm just trying to figure out a way that I could go to school and also work full-time and take care of my daughter and household bills + car payment I don't have a low income home which would be a plus right about now, but unfortunately I make two much money as a CNA so I have to pay regular rent, I live in the tri-state area so if anyone knows of a school or an Institute that I could attend in also work full time I'm willing to put in the blood, sweat and tears to better myself, Thanks everyone
I am taking The LVN program at an Adult school because the cost is cheaper only $2400. The MA and CNA program is only $250. Adult Schools/Career Technical Trade schools are so cheap.
I was born @ Kings County Hospital in 1969.. #Deathhospital.... Never EVER get seen @ KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL. My oldest sister worked @ Megar Evers nursing home... Another DEATH FACILITY
My goal is to become a nurse !! But it’s very depressing with little support and being a single mom! Plus I have to find a way to pay for school due to my pell grants running out !! I know there’s scholarships and other ways to pay, Taking out more loans isn’t what I want to do with no co-signer!! I do work for the hospital and they have tuition reimbursement for all employees which is good. But How can I find time to wrk and do school because I still will have bills and responsibilities. Part time may be a choice for me but idk I will need more money to cover my expenses!!please give some input on this !! I know God will give me my hearts desire. I just take it one day at a time 🙏🏾
The Loveablebritbrat sis if you want something bad enough you’ll get it. I was a single mom of 2 when I was struggling with my second program. I didn’t know how I was going to make it but somehow God always made a way. Where do you live? Can you do part time while the kids are in school?
In nyc there is hardly any part time. It is so hard for single mothers. Most get supported by a man , or move back home with mama. Its hard with bills , rent, kids, and stress of RN program.
True to find a position at work that do three 12hr shifts bc that's 36hrs a week and 72hrs a pay period and that's full time and go to school the other days you're off.
You can do it I am single parent of two kids and I work two jobs and go to school online full time. I graduate with my bachelors this school year, and I plan on going on to get my masters. It’s hard but if you want it you’ll do it no matter what. You can do it girl!
I work two 12 hour midnight shifts a week while in nursing school but i dont have any children, it just means you have to prioritze and manage your time better, i have people in my group who have kids and work full time while being in the program and get a's. Its possible.
Here in Louisiana we get paid horrible! As a CNA 80 hours is about $800 dollars! Im a diaylsis tech and make $15 dollars i make about $2600-$2700 dollars! To even hear your story and reading the comments y'all making real good compared to here! We have to work 2-3 jobs just to cover all bills!
Please take into consideration what city and state you live in. I didn't catch where this young lady is from however, I am a LPN and I earn just a couple of dollars less. I work days no evenings, nights weekends or holidays unless I choose to. You must take into consideration cost of living. You can earn 5000 a month. But how much do you have to pay to live?. For instance gas and electric both can be as little as $120 a month. 3 bedroom clean spacious apt can run as little as $500 a month. Groceries ex. Milk .79. Chuck roast $12, 10lb potatoes 3.50. Of you make 5000 a month and rent or house payment runs you 1000 to 2000 a month. And electric or gas separately cost 300. Then that pay may no look to good in your city or state. Or, on the other hand may look like a large amount until it time to pay bills. Think about it..
Lol we're being nosey🤣🤣🤣🤣 i actually love your videos about nursing especially because that's where my heart is and i feel like your actually truthful when you tell us your experiences....my goal is to become an RN😍😍😍😍and i was being nosey😂😂😂😂😂
Shakeira Aydelott lol it’s okay. I know people are very secretive when it comes to pay. Any info I can share that’ll be helpful or beneficial to you guys, I’m all for it 💕
I uploaded a more in depth video answering a lot of your questions. Feel free to check it out ua-cam.com/video/c9d7wLPx-xA/v-deo.html
PurpleReign 413 thanks so much for posting
Have you share your blessings by "Volunteering" ? Nursing isn't about the amount of monies you make 😲
I volunteer all the time. I am a part of black nurses rock and we do a lot of community work and education.
Is it still hard to get to get into the nursing in medgar evers college? Was thinking on going there for nursing
Which school you went to for the LPN and which school did you do your LPN to RN?
You can make all the money in the world but if you dont know how to manage it your still poor broke.
Those who start at the bottom and those who paid to be at top. Field experience is important.
*you're
You not lying cause some live way above pay check level.
Yup
Get your experience...im 8yrs BSN get 2 yr ICU experience and go travel then come back you will make more. In the last 7yrs ive made nothing less than 120k per yr
Transparent life of Dee Dee thanks for the recommendation 💕
How are you making 120 traveling? Overtime? Before of after taxes?
Is this w overtime or 80 hours only
Girl I’m over here studying for My NCLEX thank you for the motivation I needed it
Transparent life of Dee Dee damn u must have a very stable life
My dad makes around 35k my mom makes 45k
And I’m grateful for what I have but rarely is my family able to buy us anything we live paycheck to paycheck because I have 3 other siblings and we usually never get things on Christmas or 20$ on b day
I’m still grateful because i could be living in a clay house with little to no food
Agreed
Thanks for that reply I needed to hear that.

Thanks

I’m happy and money catching up to me.
U look extremely happy. Shed more love in this world lovely!!!!
Can't wait! Labor and Delivery here I come. 1 more year left.
Lissa Brooks there’s a need for L&D nurses. Too bad I don’t like looking at vaginas 😂
PurpleReign 413 😂😂😂😂
+PurpleReign 413 Chile lol
Get it girl! Can i use you for a reference?
PurpleReign 413 😂🤣
Just watched the whole video.. I'm a fashion designer (got a degree in fashion as well) but also back in school as a pre-med student (to become a doctor) .. my sister is into nursing so this video will definitely be helpful for her .. thanks!
BritxBrat2Fashion thanks for watching Brit 💕
I worked Neuro ICU 3 years after graduating from LVN school 17 years ago. Now I am no longer educated enough to work in the hospital at all. Go get your BSNs and do contract work and you can make 70k+ a year in Texas.
Shelly Well I have a few jobs lined up in Texas as we speak 🙌🏾. I’m thinking of just doing traveling for now till I find out where I want to raise my family.
Lol I did came to 👀 the paycheck but I definitely learned a few. Stay humble and meek. Don't settle for less
That whole medical industry is a racket.
Exactly
I’m in school currently finishing my pre req for the RN program and this was very encouraging salary wise as well as the comments. I am so excited to be a NICU nurse 😩🙌🏾❤️
Finishing my prereqs to apply for the RN program🤗🤗 Thanks for the info
The nursing homes here in Michigan is where the money is. That's the difference here and home care you can get $300-400 just to open home care cases. Congrats on your RN
Hi,
I’ve been an LPN for over 30 years. I have always regretted not becoming an RN.
I am making more than most of my coworkers that are RNs. I am conflicted because I want to earn my RN.
I am however planning on working about 5-7 more years and don’t know if it would be be worth it to take a pay cut....
Proud of you my sista ..
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TEST
Patricia my prayers are with you my friend. You are going to do great.
Patricia
Best of luck, nursie. And welcome.
Well wishes to you passing the NCLEX. I know that you’ve probably taken it already.
__
How did you prepare for nclex? What review did you use...like books and other sources.
You are a LPN while going to RN school? Is that very hard to do ? I’m trying to figure out if it’s possible to be a full time LPN and go to school.
I Just wish nurses would do the job because they want to care for patients I have had terrible nurses over the years so bad I tell my family never leave me alone at the hospital
i feel like the only male here lol. Im going into nursing have been watching UA-cam RN videos like crazy....this is going to be a good path
Great choice.. Make the money, dnt let it make you
I am a RN since last 4yrs..take my words..don't go for it...you're going to suck being a nurse..
Unveiling my Fitrah let’s find out 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
@@kevinruiz4125
Good Luck Brother👍
I love male nurses! I’m a nurse as well keep up the good work
it's also important to remember pay grade is based off cost of living in each state, I live in NC where the cost of living is middle class. so $20-25hr is affordable. but making that amount somewhere like CA, would seem like minimum wage
Do it if it's your joy and your calling. Don't just do it for money.
Sarah Givens trust me, if it was for the money I wouldn’t be a nurse. I do this because this is what I’m meant to do 💕
Yes and amen! It takes a special kind of heart to care for others with dignity... We need more loving nurses!💗
👍👍👍👍that’s why I’m lab. I prefer the poop in a sorbet container or urine cup. Not thrown or smeared around.
That is a good statement because you can tell the people that are doing a job and they really don't like it.. and they're doing it for the money they have no bedside manners and very rude. Nurses are my favorite people..
Don't do anything for the money...never works
This was the most transparent video of nursing pay I’m not going into nursing solely for the money but want to be able to pay back student loans and live of course... very informative!
Christian Coleman thats all she talked about! Not how compassionate she is about patients or residents and or accurate or knowledgeable she in the field of nursing and got the nerve to brag about pay lookin like a new raggedy ass aide.
Exactly, @Christian Coleman why cant every profession be straight forward like this.
Many Africans don't age at all. If u left HS in 2003 then you're about 34.
Damn u look like 21
She’s probably around 32 bc I finished HS in 01 and I jus turned 34
David Duncan she not African 😳 is she?
David Duncan
You need glasses if she look like 21
Mimi Robertson how tf? I'm c/o 03 and I'm 33
Mimi Robertson your bday must be early
I make 2400 a check as a cna in California 80h every 2weeks . My mom makes 5000 as a masters level RN in California
What part of Cali?
shitttt that is why I have to move to California after I get my license they pay lolll I çñt wait
But the cost of living is higher in Cali
Cost of living is ridiculously high over there though
Amber Cole my friend just moved out to Cali and she makes $102 an hour to work in the cath lab. Cost of living don’t matter when you’re making money like that lol
I always wanted to be a Nurse (no kidding), I always was attracted in working in the Medical field. I wish I could’ve stayed in school for Nursing. My Auntie who passed was a Nurse in the Military, my other Auntie on my Mom’s side is a LPN & my cousin is a RN. I guess Nurses run in the family. I need to find my true calling. Thank you for sharing the video. Also new subscriber here 🙋🏽♀️
Passion T you got time. Go to air force and be a medic for 3 yrs. Get a foundation. Get that GI bill and get paid to go to school.
Passion T it's never too late.
It would seem that it's that cut and dry but it isn't. Just because the cost of living increases doesn't guarantee an increase in pay
it's not that cut and dry as someone indicated but you are right is largely affected by location and cost of living just like any other jobs
My daughter wants to be a nurse. This was helpful when she gets to college and choices.
tell her to get a CNA job real quick just to make sure shes about it.
Kim Rumph. whatever you do
get her to a community college
with LPN program then 1 year 2
years experience with credentials/
credits behind her then go back
to school get her Bachelors as a
RN. plus experience she easily
make $80K ~ $90K to start easy
especially the big cities or assisted living facilities...
as the gent said a CNA is a quick
route fall back to see if she really
like the medical field...
also a Physician Asst.. big bucks
$100k plus ever decide to become a doctor in training..jb
I know I have 3 Masters I see
the operations of it all..
I am in school to finish my gen Ed before I start the nursing program. Thank you for being transparent. I'm going to make a R.N. vision board for myself.
God bless Your path
This is inspiring I’m 2 weeks away from becoming A Medical Assistant && I want to continue school for my LPN thanks
I'm trying to find me an RN I can wife. Y'all making what I make. We can put that together and build an Empire. 🙌😜
Life with Trucker Art but truckers and nurses always at work...... When u gonna see ya wife??
That's right bro

Hi
Am RN can we talk
ezenabomiracle@gmail.com
My mail.
Lmao
Wow that's not much here in texas... rn make like 5000 monthly here in TX more than that with experience...lpn make 3800 also with experience you makes more...we have a shortage of nurses here...
I make over $10,000 a moth on rental propertie's, plus the equity. And I am not killing myself or working for someone.
@@PurpleReign413 thank you girl.. I'm so encouraged
Go get that degree & money girl . I’m 26 as well & going for nursing as an Rn
PurpleReign 413 I recommend you go straight for RN . I’m 21 in my second year of college I just changed my major back to rn my dream job is labor and delivery I live in MINNESOTA and LPN starting wage is 22 here so ima just go straight for RN
@@KaeJones25 Omg girl yess I'm proud of you. And I might go for my rn as well.

Me too👋👋👋😀
I went to BD. Of Education Adult Practical Nurse program I am a travel LPN my highest rate is $35 hr. /in facility & $40/ for flu shots. I have a wonderful career. RN is also a great career.
Inger Williams I wanted to go to that program because it was wayyyyy cheaper than veeb but you had to be 21 to start and I was 19.
Inger Williams I am looking for something PT would you mind sharing where I can apply to work administering flu shots?
melizabeth what state are you in I used flu busters it was great
What state are you living?
Judy Ellis I’m in Georgia now California is the best pay
Arizona new grads (RN) start from $28-35!! And that’s considered the low end here !
Boss Lady yeah....but it’s Arizona 😬
I'm a new grad LVN in Cali and at Kaiser you make 28-30$ starting !
Good video though.
fatz1410, How long have u been a paramedic? She's a new grad. Ask her after 2 years what her paycheck is. U will be surprised.
im pretty sure since its a hospital its bi-weekly = 40hrs a week
fatz1410 I don’t think that’s a week, it’s bi weely
I call BS. Paramedics don't make anywhere near that type of money! stop lying! Even after 16 years you're telling us you make over 50 per hr?!!! Yah ok.
She's not lying a some paramedics definitely bring home that much trust me I know
I’ve been a LPN for 2.5 years and just graduated from RN school 2 weeks ago. I currently live in Florida and they pay you between $16-21/hour....I started at $19 and after two years they gave me $20...I quit shortly after...it’s ridiculous factoring in the cost of living in this state. Im doing home health and Istudying for my board and will be moving up north.
Hello,
I'm looking to move to Florida next year and I'm currently an LVN. Is there any advice you could give me on Jobs in Florida as an lpn.
Florida and the south pay much less, here in the north east we make almost double that. After you've gotten 2 years of experience you should move to this area
Oh no!! I make $25 as an HHA
Yoli184 I'm in south florida and my cousin just graduated and started at $21 at a SNF is that where you worked or just home health?
That's cheating you of pay.. I live in Las Vegas and RN here start at minimum of $32-34/he more with night differential.. you definitely should move😕
I just wanna do my LPN it’s 11 months over here in FL but every facility an hospital pays different an agency plays a big part in it too cux they pay $26-30 an hour
Thanks for sharing your paycheck! I graduate as an RN in a year!
How many years of schooling have you attended
Me to i graduate next year 2019 RN
Go Kayla !!!! I have been a nurse for 13 years, 9 as RN and 4 as LVN.
Hey I graduate in May good luck nursing sister
Annette Allen which state are you in?
Florida is the worst when it comes to pay. I just graduated rn school I plan on getting a couple years of experience then get tf out of Florida!
Not worse than Alabama!
Good idea girl. I live in Florida too.
Hours make a difference my mother made 194,000 one year
Pls make more nursing videos
Obi Henrietta what do you want to see?
Obi Henrietta how schooling is different from Lpn and Rn
Welcome to the field, it is an amazing profession, I absolutely love being a nurse.
SUNSHINE JOSEPH thank you 💕
🙏💕AMEN💕🙏..LIKEWISE!~~I LOVE IT!
RN is a great career....Or you can be a dental hygienist and work banker hours 32 hours a week for around 35-43 hourly.
Can’t see myself being anything else but being a nurse. Plus I’m terrified of dentures 😩😂 so the dental business isn’t for me.
I would be a realtor if I was not a nurse. Working everyday is NOT an option for me.
Im a real estate agent making a little over 100k a year in sales. Im also a landlord with 5 rental properties that is additional income. With no degree just high school diploma. I thought about being a nurse but its too much work and too much debt if you didn’t get a full ride. Congratulations to you though Nurses are very strong I love all of you❤️
Jazzi Williams What steps did you take after you graduated? Becoming a Realtor/Agent is my plan b.
Did my ASN in Miami but NCLEX got the better of me so I continue LPNing 😆
NYC area is hard place to get into any nursing program especially if you’re not a straight A student.
I agree. I left nursing as an LPN for cybersecurity.
Sweet Bitterleaf how are you liking it?
@@PurpleReign413 You will not believe this. Making 6 figures , working less hours , a lot of teleworking so I get to spend a lot of time with family. Working in respectful environment. Less stress, less females. Lolzzz.
My friend ia a LVN making $45hr Ssn Diego she works at a urgent care facility plus she's a certified phlebotomist
Congratulations on your transition from being an LPN to becoming an awesome RN!!! #continuetoachieveyourgoalsinlife
I’m currently a LPN. I’m starting the bridge program in Fall 2019. I’m 21 and I’m so excited to become an RN. My goal is to become a nurse midwife.
I was a mortgage loan closer no school at all, my checks were more than that. Plus bonuses. The only field I could go in and make a good amount without school. Hated college. Just a thought.... Congrats MS. School is tough.
Yesss that's field i 💜 to GROW in..i was making decent money as a mortgage closer as well...but not more than her checks..how was u making that much wit out no education?
some make more than that.. it just depends on location.. There's no OSFA when it comes to income they're are several things to factor in
More info pls
That’s why I’m n struggle to get accepted to the ADN program now if i gotta work i May as well get paid for it ... LPN Jobs here are basically limited to Nursing homes and they aren’t my thang ... congratulations on your success
Lesa Rena Do not limit yourself. Never saw myself working in a nursing home either but you have to start somewhere.
Thank you for being so open & candid. It’s good to know what to expect. I’m a RT thinking of RN & I have the same dilemma...appreciate the vid!
Maybe I should quit as a mechanic and become a nurse.
Logan Holst nah bro the world is definitely falling short on Hand skilled labor jobs
If you can continue ur job as a mechanic in about 5-10 yrs businesses will be willing to pay a lot more for people like you
I’m a 15 year old also going into skilled labor because I want to be able to fix my own car if I need to and not get scammed by Other mechanics who Will literally break something in ur car just to fix it for money and also if I ever don’t get a job I can just rely on my labor skills and get hired somewhere easy and quick
Btw at my highschool you can take an auto tech class which we go to a building everyday and learn and work on cars and if we do it for 3 years, we will be certified to work in big businesses and be promoted easily
We are basically gaurenteed to be making no less than 80k a year straight out of highschool we are one of the only schools to do this so I’m pretty lucky
Sorry I love to talk about this cus it makes me happy
You'll get paid because being a nurse, aside from the good pay, they need the muscle which is a shoe in for being hired.
They know a woman can't pick up a 6'2 250lb male without assistance.
Logan Holst dont do it for the money, if you can't care for people. It's not for you.
I live in a rural town in Minnesota and as an LPN they start somewhere between $16-18/hr and and RN starts at $32/hr in the hospital. So for us it is double to become an RN
Wish they hired lpns as much in the hospitals in Georgia
Mim Ca my cousin works as an LPN at a hospital in Ga but it’s tech work basically smh
Good luck! Build your savings!
j jones it’s building and thanks 💗
i love your personality.
Good luck!
Did you stay at the same facility for 20yrs? or did you roll over your retirement
Ready for that bigger paycheck yes Lord 😍
Yasss girl. Im from Brooklyn too. Im graduating from nursing school in jersey in 3 weeks. (Been here 10 yrs) Im so excited😁 Thanks for sharing. Good luck with everything moving forward!
The wait at Medgar made me change my entire major. You could’ve have a 4.0 and still not get in.
Asraeli Tamar preach!!! My gpa was a 3.8 and I scored high on the NET and still couldn’t get in 😩
I still know my work!!! Amen!!! You have to let them know!! Yes mom!!!!

“I know my worth!” Yes you do!
Was an RN and switched to a therapist and I make more money as a private practice therapist! Good luck !
It is so common that many white people use,
"Fake It Till You Make It"
(I saw it on a commercial the other day).
Good Luck!
Skip the LPN program if you can guys! Avoid paying that LPN loan if defeats the purpose!
Lpn works great for many people. In my area rns only make $2. An hour more than lpns.
$28.50 as an LPN? in florida they pay new grad rn's that or a little less
Where in FL?? In South FL LPNs start at $22-$23 fresh out, RNs $28+

Wow that's a lot of works a week.

Debbie Green yes I do 💕
That’s cause it’s Florida up here in the tristate new grad RNs start at $35 per hour
Christine Theodore, RN-S I got offered $46 to work at NYP when I graduated from my RN program. I’ve been thinking about taking a per diem position there and flying out to NY every month to work. Still trying to weigh the pros and the cons.
PurpleReign 413 you should definitely do it I think it’s work it also think about travel nursing
PurpleReign 413 Do NYP hire RN associate or just BSN? ... I always thought they only offer position if u only have bachelors
Become a traveling nurse. They get paid nicely!
Congrats on standing up for your worth and sticking to it.
Wayyyyy to go girl
I am taking The LVN program at an Adult school because the cost is cheaper only $2400. The MA and CNA program is only $250. Adult Schools/Career Technical Trade schools are so cheap.
Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈🎈❤from
SWEETS👄💋💯
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’ve been thinking of going to nursing school. Now I definitely will.
