one of my favorite memories with my ex is too this song. We were leaving Chattanooga after our trip there together in her van that she plans to leave out west for vanlife in. We both were happy crying and she looked at me and said it would be so hard to travel without me. We broke up a month ago.. I love you Madison May and hope you travel safe
They are some damn fine musicians. I hope they release the whole set of these performances. I’d honestly pay some good money for it on account of how beautifully it’s shot and how amazing the performances are.
i have such a hard time understanding the lyrics (english isn't my language). I can feel i'm missing many things/Images/metaphors. I wish I'd get them. Can you tell me what's your favorite line, and why?
@@itstoogooditswaytoogood3211 can yuo explain this line please ^^? English isn't my language and i'm trying to understand it in the context of the text. Is it that she dated him just to have someone with her, but never trully loved him? or it's what he believes now she did quit him?
@@AnotherproblemOn A little late, but I read on Genius the song was a tribute to three friends, that died because of drugs, that may help understanding the meaning of the lyrics.
Twin Peaks is my favorite band ever and JD's songs speak to me. This is my favorite "Sweet 17" also they are the best live band in the world and one of the biggest reasons I love them plus they're all really chill dudes!
I swear JD’s songs are always so raw and sincere to the point it makes the listener feel the vulnerability all the way through. Like I have no words for the way they make me feel.
Man, they played this in Sydney last night, and they were a complete joy to watch. I drove 2 hours to the city to see them, did not disappoint. Blue Coupe would have to be one of my favourite Twin Peaks songs.
Take everything you have in front of you Make every movement, do it to the groove You will not be hungry for long if you work it And what would be the point if you didn't deserve it? Eight long months later I feel better I try to decompress all the things that tend to mess me up They always mess me up And you were never conscious of all of the good that surrounds you Ah, wake up to the rhythm of the city and I try to remember Even my brothers have some trouble with each other sometimes things fall apart It's the way that things are It's the way that it is Still, and I might, you have to suffer You were never an example of someone who was givin' up, huh You're never givin' up And you had all the options, you probably needed someone around you Even when you split me up, groovin' to the sound of the laughter And if I listen to it closely, I can still hear all the love in his heart Every time I take a look at the skyline, it makes me feel better 'Cause I just miss you down here where the other people try to move on Now you're a star The way that things are The way that it is Drivin' that car
This performance is amazing man. I got the 7inch single vinyl of Blue Coupe signed but it weared off a few days later :/ but I had the pleasure of meeting them multiple times so I can't complain too much 🤙🏽
Chrono Logic There is already an awesome vinyl release of a compilation of all their singles. It’s called Sweet 17 Singles. I got it off of amazon. Not sure if it’s still there.
The Garage Dogs dude you're so right, thank you! It's a great price too! Gonna put it next to my copy of Down in Heaven, love this band! Need to see them live!!!
Really the only way to answer your question is go to a Twin Peaks concert and find out for yourself :) The best crowd I’ve ever experienced at a concert

Absolutely quintessentially top 10 indie rock songs ever fcukcing written period
If I could write a song half this good, I could die happy
You have to miss someone so bad to write a song like this

This band. It’s something we shouldn’t take for granted... it’s a blessing they share this creative gift with us!
Ugh I miss them
i cry every time I watch this and i've seen it roughly 45 times
They are some damn fine musicians. I hope they release the whole set of these performances. I’d honestly pay some good money for it on account of how beautifully it’s shot and how amazing the performances are.

Joshua Bourque i went to their madison show, front row, and i filmed one of their unreleased songs, up on my channel
Amen brother
I dig their take on The Rolling Stones tune "Dead Flowers" . Good band that obviously put the time in and did the work.
#nrvpunks 🏴☠️

I WISH I WAS IN THIS BAND
I am. I just use my imagination. I get all the solos and blow smoke in the roadies faces. They don't mind much because the solos are pure shred.
Twin peaks is gold, among the best out there
Man, they played this in Sydney last night, and they were a complete joy to watch. I drove 2 hours to the city to see them, did not disappoint. Blue Coupe would have to be one of my favourite Twin Peaks songs.
this song gets me every time
The musicianship in this performance is nuts. Everything fits. Perfectly layered over one another. Twin fucking Peaks!
I miss this band. We were there and it was the 3 greatest shows I ever saw
I kinda just want this song to never end, 4 minutes isnt long enough
That key change for the chorus is really something else
id pay seriously a lot of money to see this whole concert!!
Saw them in cleveland these guys are the real deal
This song is the definition of perfect.
Take everything you have in front of you
Make every movement, do it to the groove
You will not be hungry for long if you work it
And what would be the point if you didn't deserve it?
Eight long months later I feel better

And you were never conscious of all of the good that surrounds you
Ah, wake up to the rhythm of the city and I try to remember
Even my brothers have some trouble with each other sometimes things fall apart
It's the way that things are
It's the way that it is
Still, and I might, you have to suffer
You were never an example of someone who was givin' up, huh
You're never givin' up
And you had all the options, you probably needed someone around you
Even when you split me up, groovin' to the sound of the laughter
And if I listen to it closely, I can still hear all the love in his heart
Every time I take a look at the skyline, it makes me feel better
'Cause I just miss you down here where the other people try to move on
Now you're a star
The way that things are
The way that it is
