Kyuho feeling overwhelmed by the options for apples and bread is like me looking at the wall of kimchi in my local Korean grocery store 😅 I hope he enjoyed the Golden Delicious! My favorite ways to eat them are in a spinach salad with green onions, nuts and cheese or baked in a German Apple Pancake.

If there are Opal apples, those are my new apple obsession! They are truly yellow, not greenish like the golden delicious apples. They are a great balance of sweet and tart with a nice level of crispness. In my experience, the darker yellow ones with little to no green tints have the best flavor and texture .

I’m with Kyuho, Literally my ordeal when I went to Canada 🇨🇦 didn’t know what to pick at the supermarkets haha, here in the US we kinda have the same brands but when I was in Toronto visiting lowblaws was my favorite 😅 I found many things we don’t have here and it was amazing! Ketchup chips were my favorite! Hi Sarah! Hi Kyuho! I’m so happy that you’re both safely in Canada, after your travel debacle, and loving your time there! Watching Kyuho at the grocery store is always so much fun to see. I also love your grocery store visits, because you have so many fun items that we don’t have here in the US! I was so happy to see you choosing Honeycrisp apples. I love making ‘Apple nachos,’ where I slice the apples, drizzle peanut butter on top, and add some-mini chocolate chips on top. OR, I’ll mix peanut butter with cool whip, and use that as a dip for apple wedges. I just love family time! Your mama and daddy are looking great, Sarah! Thank you for sharing your week with us! It hasn't really been that sunny in Halifax this summer unfortunately, lots of rain, that's why everything is so green. I went on a big trip at the end of April to celebrate my 70th birthday. That sounds so old to me, but in my mind I'm still very young, lol. I went to Vancouver to visit & celebrate with my friends of 30 yrs and then flew to Brisbane to see my youngest brother & his wife. Then to Tokyo & Kyoto where I reconnected with my first homestay student from 17 years ago, when I hosted Asian students in my home for 15 years. And finally to Seoul, which I absolutely loved. I was lucky to also reconnect with one of my Korean students and we had lots of fun sightseeing for two days. OMG, Seoul is such a beautiful city. I loved the modern architecture of the downtown area and then visiting the old palaces which are equally beautiful in their architecture. It was an incredible trip and I would love to visit Seoul again, maybe go to Jeju Island next time or some of the beach towns. I stayed in Myeong-dong downtown and it was so fun, there was a night market in the street outside my hotel every night. Mmm lots of yummy street food.

Hi from 53°N... NS scenery/sky similar to IRL, can imagine if I left IRL I'd be pining for the scenery, especially Wicklow Mountains National park that I live beside. Bibigo Kimchi /Sweet&spicy chicken/K microwave rice...ALL available in Korean shops in Dublin😜😜 Getting the last 2 Triscuit Gouda off the shelf..KNOW that feeling!! June was 25c and drought dry,July has been 17c and mostly wet here, but once we have Guinness and Jameson we're happy little Leprechauns...😅😅. Roll on balmy Aug/Sept. Got a BEAUTIFUL apple in Korea, fizzy and sweet, NEVER seen one up here. Miss Noryangin fish market fresh fish... because we sold our fishing rights to the Spanish meaning we dont get our own fish (thanks EU🤬). Must check out Rosetta Stone, and discount, because I LOVE languages...I've visited 40 countries and can say the very basic in about 30 languages. Keep those vids coming....😅
