Who in the crap does this videos??? They are so good!!! Sports journalism can be so lame!!!! haha these are fine art haha! so human and so beautiful! cheers, Steve aka The Talking Fly
Howes looks great in the USA jersey, and Morton has to be the most low-key savage on two wheels. I get a big kick out of these videos, and the 'alternative race' program (or whatever it's called). Nice work.
Thanks for the memories. I did it in 98, 99, 2000, & 2001 and it kicked my ass every time! Great race, well organized, great people, and beautiful country!
Congratulations EF GOING OUTSIDE OF THE PRO peloton getting involved with every day cyclist . We all know about Leadville what history behind the town incredible many thanks for sharing this to the world
Rapha and Team EF, this is turning into one of the best video series out there. Love seeing these guys get out and connect to the biking community and document the experience. You've got a new fan here. Go Team EF!
I just got back into cycling after over a decade and Lachlan and these videos have become a huge inspiration to me! My goal is to do a LifeTime Grand Prix race within the next 2 years! Appreciate this incredible content!
I did Leadville several years back, and I have to say, it was probably the best day I’d ever had on a bike. Riding bikes in an amazing place with hundreds and hundreds of other like minded people was absolutely amazing. I will always look fondly at my bucket for all the great memories from that day. If any of you are thinking about doing Leadville….DO IT!
Signed up for my first gravel race after watching these EF series! Borrowing a gravel bike for the event! No expectations, just looking forward to having fun and trying something new!
Well done film. Finished Leadville 100 MTB 4 times myself. Agree with Phinney's comments about everyone doing it being crazy! Love it though...and love the area. Something raw about Leadville as compared to rest of Colorado. Probably why I bought a cabin near the race course.
Lots of people do that at Leadville since it's rare you have to get off and it allows better power transfer. I read an article with a line from Todd Wells about it. He does the same thing...
I am thinking about going with my road shoes for the DK200. I just can’t get my mountain shoes dialed in to be as comfortable as my road shoes. Probably has to do with all the thousands of miles I have done in them on the road.
Holy shit! I keep watching these things and I just keep being surprised at how engaging and immersive they are, and that they actually have something to say.
You guys are making some of the most powerful cycling videos out there, this stuff is just amazing and that pep talk made the heart rate flutter and bring up some emotion, it was really beautiful. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the making of this, it's truly inspiring.
These films are amazing. Watching how this race/ride galvanizes the cycling community gets my eyes pretty misty. This is the side of cycling that keeps people doing crazy things. I love seeing a pro tour team being involved with these things and closing the gap between the average joe and the pro. Keep making these films!! The cycling world needs more content like this!!
Shows that you can be valuable for sponsors without winning, shows that you don‘t have to win to inspire people, shows that winning isn’t always the most important thing.
To whoever edited this piece - A+ all the way. Timing was impeccable and you really told a fantastic story, complete with suspense. Every one of these episodes just get better and better. Don’t stop crafting these mini docs!
i live in leadville! the race is great and a great way to get economic growth in our community. the only thing i hate is when people park in front of my driveway.
Love these three riders!!!! DK200, Leadville 100, you guys rock. Sorry to see that Taylor couldn’t do the race. Get better Taylor, hope to see you race again in the future. Keep up the good work EF on showcasing the non-traditional races!!!!
Lachlan is hilarious. He's so chill and goofy, but he's a monster who has one speed: kill. Really bummed Taylor couldn't make it. He's Lachlan's American doppelganger 😄 Phenomenal film, as usual. Such a great series.
Great video and great story... I'm doing my first endurance event in like 5 weeks... a local race here in Namibia called the Desert Dash... 393km in 24hrs... pretty young event, but its starting to attract people from all over the world... wish me luck!
Thanks Rapha and EF for putting forward another perspective, and I must admit, an excellent backing track. Thanks to the riders for sharing their thoughts and reactions. Real, earthy, muddy, and inspiring.
I could watch these videos forever. I love being able to see the personalities of the riders and the chilled run-through of the event with them. That's whats missing from the TdF, which is more stilted and distant a lot of the time. I love the UCI world tour, but there's something down to earth and levelling about the behind-the-scenes videos of these alternative events, love it
"I was struggling as to what the purpose of being a professional bike rider was ... people reaching out and saying they were motivated to get back on their bikes ..." That's me, Lachlan! thanks!
“Let’s start a riot” @10:00 minutes fits EF gang and the inspiration with their videos. Now it will be impossible to get into Leadville 100. Thanks guys!!!! 😀😂😉
Man, I've seen the Dirty Kanza video and now this, and they are freakin' awesome. Amazing content and quality. In an age in which professional cycling seems so foreign and disconnected from the every day cyclist, this sort of content does a great job of connecting the professionals to everyday people, and frankly reminding all of us why it's just a lot of fun to go out and ride your bike. Keep it up Rapha/EF/etc.
"I've pushed through enough injuries in my career..." Taylor Phinney. Jeez, such an understatement. A few feet either way, and maybe Taylor died hitting that guardrail. If the guy never wins, never even podiums again, just to come back and be racing at such a high level after that crash is truly amazing. Guys in Lycra might not seem as tough as contact sports dudes, but the more you know about bike racing, the more you realize how hard as nails these folks are, going through what they do. Somebody sign him up for 2020 already! I want to see him in Paris-Roubaix again!
Truely the best video so far!! Dang, this intro ! The speech at the briefing soo amazing. Goosebumps all over when the anthem was sung. Mindblowing steep sections on the course and all this amazing people around. Just epic! Thanks so much for this video Rapha & EF !
Absolutely loved these films, Beautifully shot, great interviews with the EF guys and something beyond the trad road scene. Fabulous. And yes - inspiring. I've bought a mountain bike for the first time in 20 years!
This is legit better than watching any Tour de France stage win, then you link this to Tour of Utah stage win the next week - awesome connection that pro cycling is missing.
EF1 is the coolest pro Team on all surfaces. For sure, they wear the best kit. Watching this video, it feels like cycling is their way of life, not a job, not a stepping stone to wealth and fame. Lolling forward to the next episode. Thank you Rapha!
Really excellent, this will inspire a lot of people - whew. Watched it twice myself! Thank you for your hard work (and dudes, wow, that was some seriously epic racing :) way to ride!!!)
A genuine story - ya can't fake a buckle earned at Leadville. And Howes & Mort going wide tire and pizza cog, T making eggs, talk of riots, a shotgun firing in a crowd, bottles leaking in the dirt, and pushing a bike coz it's faster?! This film is high. Literally. Thanks, Rapha, again, please.
I love that EF gets off the road and does these epic rides. Great way to connect with everyday cyclists. New favorite race team.
Right!? They went from the boring team name with the ugly kit to the coolest team around.
Who in the crap does this videos??? They are so good!!! Sports journalism can be so lame!!!! haha these are fine art haha! so human and so beautiful! cheers, Steve aka The Talking Fly
Watched this 2x now. And after covid, we would be honored to chase the EF boys and support Leadville!
Howes looks great in the USA jersey, and Morton has to be the most low-key savage on two wheels. I get a big kick out of these videos, and the 'alternative race' program (or whatever it's called). Nice work.
I have watched this several times since it was first posted. It gets better every time. Lachlan is just one of a kind.
I just can't wipe the smile off my face as I watch this. Just makes you want to ride
Thanks for the memories. I did it in 98, 99, 2000, & 2001 and it kicked my ass every time! Great race, well organized, great people, and beautiful country!
Congratulations EF GOING OUTSIDE OF THE PRO peloton getting involved with every day cyclist . We all know about Leadville what history behind the town incredible many thanks for sharing this to the world
These gone racing films are the best content Rapha has ever produced and this EF team is one thatll be remembered for years to come.
"Do your best, then tell the story." - Tejay Van Garderen
Great stories! Thanks for Sharing!

Man Rapha's media team is fuckin awesome. These videos are so well done.
Lachlan - awesome reflection - what you are doing is not selfish at all. You have inspired me and many others. Keep on smiling
I have watched this 5 times today... I can not get enough of the personalities. The cinematography and audio are phenomenal.. Thank you!
Signed up for my first gravel race after watching these EF series! Borrowing a gravel bike for the event! No expectations, just looking forward to having fun and trying something new!
How did it go?
Well done film. Finished Leadville 100 MTB 4 times myself. Agree with Phinney's comments about everyone doing it being crazy! Love it though...and love the area. Something raw about Leadville as compared to rest of Colorado. Probably why I bought a cabin near the race course.
Got a "is this cat wearing road shoes" moment when I saw one of the guys run with his bike. Bold choice indeed.
Seriously wtf it's called MTB shoes no loss in power look at groots
@@jamessands3227 it saves a few grams though, lol
Lots of people do that at Leadville since it's rare you have to get off and it allows better power transfer. I read an article with a line from Todd Wells about it. He does the same thing...

Love this alternative race calendar and the personalities of these guys!
"If you show up to a rodeo with this on, people assume you know how to crush Bronc" - best line I've ever heard from a pro cyclist.
Yep, I'm loving your approach to cycling. Great work from the riders and the production team. Thanks ;-)
Shows that you can be valuable for sponsors without winning, shows that you don‘t have to win to inspire people, shows that winning isn’t always the most important thing.
One of the most well produced professional race documentaries I’ve seen. Awesome job love the alternative calendar.
Definitely the most endearing bromance I've ever seen
Another fabulous film - makes you want to get out on whatever bike you have, and have an adventure or explore!
Huge props to Rapha for making these films. Great modern marketing, and just great story telling to share.
To whoever edited this piece - A+ all the way. Timing was impeccable and you really told a fantastic story, complete with suspense. Every one of these episodes just get better and better. Don’t stop crafting these mini docs!

Such beautiful made movies. You get the best out of the riders, the scenery and the events. Don't stop!
I am so so so happy to see these videos. The production quality behind them.. the story telling... the people they showcase. I love it all. Thank you!
Lachlan is hilarious. He's so chill and goofy, but he's a monster who has one speed: kill.
Really bummed Taylor couldn't make it. He's Lachlan's American doppelganger 😄
Phenomenal film, as usual. Such a great series.
Great video! Loved the backstory and the commentary from the riders. Howes jumping off the bike and going faster was the comedic highlight.
Great video and great story... I'm doing my first endurance event in like 5 weeks... a local race here in Namibia called the Desert Dash... 393km in 24hrs... pretty young event, but its starting to attract people from all over the world... wish me luck!

these films are so , so good. Its sports science / psychology - full on study lesson material. thank you for giving them
Honestly I really look forward to these videos, they've been brilliant!
These guys are just awesome for cycling. Three brilliant characters.
Best intro ever, that voice was spot on! "Keyword is, Leadville!"
I could watch these videos forever. I love being able to see the personalities of the riders and the chilled run-through of the event with them. That's whats missing from the TdF, which is more stilted and distant a lot of the time. We love seeing EF expanding to these races!! Yes, you are The Pro team to follow!! Keep it going!!!
These videos are so good, they are much more attainable to the average guy. You boys inspire me so much to get out there a push myself.
“Let’s start a riot” @10:00 minutes fits EF gang and the inspiration with their videos. Now it will be impossible to get into Leadville 100. Thanks guys!!!! 😀😂😉

Colour me inspired. I'm off to Colorado. Alex, Lachlan and Taylor, you have painted my 2020 and 2021 out. Thanks!
Fantastic video. These race videos have turned me into huge fans of your team and riders. Thanks for racing Utah, also. That event needs support.

This series of videos are so entertaining and inspiring. Thanks to the riders, team, and sponsors!
What a great production! Loved it and the three EF riders. Such unique personalities!
So many great moments! What a year of footage this alternative program has created and captured.
"I've pushed through enough injuries in my career..." Taylor Phinney. Jeez, such an understatement. A few feet either way, and maybe Taylor died hitting that guardrail. So good! This is the first thing I’ve ever seen that makes me want to race Leadville. Brilliant!
