Thank you so much for this video! Some tips for newer models: there’s a single security torx screw on my model just outside of where the bottom part of this hose connects. Other posters mention 2, mine had one. Do not force the cover off, if it seems like there’s still a screw somewhere there is! My ring security screw bit worked perfectly (I *forgot* to replace the torx screw with no ill effects to the vacuum cleaner.) If it’s your first time replacing there is some glue on the inner part where the hose connects. Don’t pull, just unscrew, it will be tough at first but it comes apart with a little effort. Also- you “unscrew” this piece to the right! So don’t be like me whispering ‘lefty loosey, rightie tightie’ over in my head and wondering why it’s not budging. Finally, pay attention when putting the bottom part of the hose back in place- the plastic piece it connects to slopes on the bottom, if its wrong the brush cover will not snap back in place. (Look at the brush cover and the direction it slopes where it connects to this piece) There are two plastic pieces that jut out on the bottom plastic hose connector. The taller one goes on top and the shorter one fits into a hole on the underside. Finally, Mine seemed to be “missing” the same screw you mentioned, but I know I’ve never taken mine apart so go apologize to your kid/wife/or whoever you thought lost it:) Pro tip: the filter sets are cheap on Amazon, you may as well replace them too, your vacuum will work like new. Thanks again for taking the time to make this extremely helpful video!!
Yeah tearing into my NV683. Watched this video and was like hell that is simple enough.. started in on the unit and was just..... but why would you put a security bit on a vacuum! Frustrating. But thank you guys for addressing this.
That directions were perfect. I’m a 77-year-old woman and I did it! I drew a diagram of the bottom. There are 14 screws and three different sizes. When I finished, it was still screeching, so I had to take it apart again and put in a new belt which was more difficult than putting in the hose. It would’ve been nice if he would have included the directions of replacing a new belt. I did figure it out and now I have a brand new vacuum cleaner.
Fantastic addition to the University of UA-cam. Thankyou so much... links to the bits too! This is a perfect instruction video. mine was a different model, but it was close enough. Thankyou xx
Awesome. I thought I was gonna have to spend $85 for a base on my shark rotator. I couldn't figure out why it kept clogging all of a sudden when I hardly ever had a suction problem before and then I noticed the lower hose was broke while I was cleaning hair and fuzz from the brush and unclogging it again. I bet once I fix that hose it'll stop clogging so much. DIY youtube videos have saved me so much time and money over the years.
Thank you for posting the "how-to" video. Replaced the hose on mine last night. Me and that goo had a bit of a wrestle lol, but with steady pressure, it finally gave up 😆. Thanks for your help!
You saved me so much money! I was afraid I would have to replace my vacuum. I ordered all the materials and replacement filters and it's like brand new again! Thank so much for this informative video! Very much appreciated!
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I was determined to fix my hose issues myself, but just could not figure how to remove the hose. I had taken out every single screw I could find, including the wheels 🙄. Finally in desperation I searched UA-cam, and your video showed up. So happy to report with your guidance, I got everything sorted out and repaired. It works like brand-new again with insane amounts of suction. You are awesome 👌
My hose split on my Shark UV795. I've had several Hoovers, Dysons and a Kirby and this is the best vacuum I've ever owned. Lord knows how long I've been vacuuming with a broke hose and spewing dirt and dust in my home. Was cleaning the filters and noticed the split hose. Went to a local vacuum repair shop and the owner gave me a hose for free. Just finished repairing it by watching your video. Thanks for the great instructions!
Dysons are crap aren't they. They clog up inside at the most inaccessible spot. I was always down the appliance repair shop with it. Sharks are a pleasure to use, easily steerable and so much lighter. I've just gotta replace the lower hose to get it going again. I may reinforce the new hose with gorilla tape in the hope it won't split so soon. No idea if it'll work, but anything is worth a try!
so funny reading i wondered why i had so much dust on my sides...least i know now ..was so confusing why my living room and office kept getting a layer of dust all the time
Thank you so much for making this video!!! Fantastic tutorial!!! I really appreciate how you explain the steep by step(screw by screw) process so succinctly and calmly!! And you put it back together! Wow!!!! You’re a great teacher! Thank you thank you!!!!
The day before Thanksgiving and the vacuum cleaner tube split. I followed your instructions, pulled out the tube, wrapped some duct tape (for now), and ordered a replacement tube which will arrive on Friday. Thank you for this video.
Thanks for the guidance. One curve ball I had was that in addition to Phillips head screws there were 3 torx head screws. They are tamper proof requiring a torx bit with a hole in the center to fit into the screw head. Found a set at Harbor Freight for $6.99. Was able to use an old hose. Cheap fix. Thanks again.
This was awesome, thanks! I repaired my hose with glue and tape rather than waiting for a new replacement part, but followed your instructions step-by-step to get the hose removed so I could clean it, glue it, and tape it for added enforcement. It worked like a charm!
Excellent video, thanks! I learned some additional things I didn't see here, so I'll pass them on. Some have been mentioned by others. (My model is a Shark Ninja NV680). -I drew a picture of the vacuum head on paper and taped my screws to where they went, as I took them off. Seems like every one is unique! There was even one tiny Philips head screw right in the middle of the underside. There was one screw in the middle, extreme forward position where the roller brush is. Even though I could remove the left and right screws up here, the middle one was underneath clear plastic. Couldn't figure that out so I left it. As a result, I could lift the hood up, but could not take it completely off. -There is a SPRING by the left wheel; it was hard to figure out where it went so that I could get everything closed up. Meanwhile, every time I tried, either the suction hose connector came loose, or the wiring going from the handle to the floor base would come out of it's channel. Once I laid everything down flat like in the video, I could get it all back together ok. -It doesn't say specifically here, but you need SECURITY Torx bits (aka hollow centers) to get these screws off! You can get a set online cheap. Mine used one size, T20. Get long ones. -I had trouble getting the old hose free from the rubber connector. It seems like it had been glued. So, I boiled some water in a pot, and soaked the end in there for 30 seconds--that loosened it up and it came off with brute force. --I also used petroleum jelly to help thread the new hose onto the end in the handle, and in to the rubber boot for the base. Worked great! -Lastly, as others mentioned, the hose is threaded backwards from what you'd expect, so righty tighty/lefty loosy does NOT work. Thread the new hose on COUNTERclockwise. Again, a great video! My vacuum works great again. Thank you!!!
Thank you for posting this. My wife wanted to throw out our Shark with the same problem. I followed along and fixed it. You saved me about 400 bucks and I appreciate that. Merry Christmas.
There are a dozen Shark models and yours matched our model somewhat closely even though it was somewhat different. The number of screws was the same. It took me much longer than it did for you but it worked. Thank you much.
Hey, great video. I LUV my Shark but my son today said.. "Dad I broke the sweeper"! He then pointed out the problem. Lower hose. I was actually trying to access it a different way but your video shows the easy way. My Shark is used daily because of our dog too!!!! Thanks from Ohio.
Thank you so much for this video! I knew the instructions would be perfect when I saw your German Shepherd at the beginning of the video. I have one too and that’s probably why my vacuum hose also broke! 😂 Followed your instructions and it was so easy, thank you!!
You are truely a god amongst men - Our Shark lift away split the lower hose after years of faithful service, my wife was devastated. However following your guidance one hose replaced, one working vacuum and one happy wife = happy life. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Thank you, house doctor. I completely accessible set of instructions in and guides to the vacuum cleaners in various appliances that we are struggling with. I really appreciate your efforts in this. You do a great job.
Only thing that would make it better would be showing the depth of the screws. Mostly because I can not follow directions and did not put them down in an order I would remember how to put them back. Grateful that I could come to your channel and you could guide me through those replacement. Thank you
This video was excellent and inspired me to give it a shot (you gotta love the last scene where the vacuum passed the bowser test!) Replacing the torn hose was a piece of cake! Rather than buying a new hose for the Shark UV450, I took the recommendation from another UA-cam and removed the hose that comes with the hardwood floor cleaner attachment which I rarely if ever use. It fits PERFECTLY, and the vacuum works as good as new. I'm pretty pissed with Shark: I called Shark to inquire what size (diameter) hose I would need for the UV450 and they couldn't answer it! They also said they don't make replacement hoses and that the remedy is to buy a new vacuum! Well, I won't buy another Shark when this model finally bites the dust (so to speak) if they can't answer basic questions about their products. Thanks.
It's not that they won't answer it. They DON'T SELL IT! they force you to buy a new vacuum. Really ticked me off. Luckily people sell after market hose. You just have to find the right size even if they don't show the model, you can make it work.
Awesome instructions!! Mine was a different model but this was still valuable information. Could not have been better!! Thanks a bunch for this video, worked perfectly.
Bro! Sh*t aint easy. the damn thing was welded on. I had to spend 3 hours scraping off the old one and ended up taking to a shop to put the damn thing back together. Busted a piece of it . (have no idea what it was). Omg, watching the vid again. The hose don't just unscrew. That thing was practically impossible. Frickin reubiks cube for the love!!! Still gave a thumbs up appreciate your efforts. The easy going music in the background should be heavy metal. It would be more appropriate for my situation.
Sorry it didn't work out for you. Your's must have come off the line with a fresh batch of whatever goo they used on the hose. Next time you have to do something like this try a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it up a bit.
Started the repair, thought 'wait does all this have to come apart?'. Watched your vid, saw that I was going in the right direction and all done now 👍 thank you! Just had a vacuum with the shark back to being stuck to the carpet. Suction is back.
Thorough without getting lost in the high grass, nicely done. Couldn't get the old hose to turn but you can cut it and pull it out by the wire reinforcing. Also later models have a couple of tabs to hold fitting on the lower end of the hose in place rather than the screw that somebody messed up on yours. This unit is a necessity with labs too.
That doggo was so ready for that machine to turn on. Probably not his first rodeo. Great video and my lower hose is on order to arrive tomorrow. Now I know what to do with it.
*Exactly* the guidance (and links) I was looking for. This is why UA-cam is so great. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. (The 1.5” hose linked in the description is not currently available, but I easily found a similar one from another seller.)
I never leave a comment but had to today! I ordered the recommended part below and BAM watched your video and I did it! All fixed! Ty ty ty you just saved me 75 bucks! Woohoo!!
Thanks for explaining it all from step 1. The trickiest part is knowing if ALL the screws have gotta come out. Many videos start with it all in pieces, which is no use to me! My Jack Russell used to attack the vacuum, she'd actually grab hold of the head, lift it and drag it, pulling me across the room!! She hated it along with hairdryers or anything noisy. Teeth marks were etched into every vacuum appliance we owned! Nothing else wound her up, bar those things. 😂
Thanks a bunch! In case your hose was as badly cracked as mine was you can simply unravel it if you can’t unscrew it. My old was was literally hanging on by a thread when it came time to unscrew the old hose.
Thanks for your video. Just finished changing my lower hose on the nv752. Few notes for those who want to change theirs. Shark tries to screw the consumer and make it difficult to replace the hose. The screws on mine were torx security screws. Fortunately I have a Harbor Freight security bit set. My screws were T20 and T10. Additionally, one of the screws was recessed so much that the top of the bit was flush with the plastic housing meaning the bit sleeve couldn’t hold bit. Got around this by carefully counter boring the hole just enough so the sleeve had enough clearance to hold the bit. Result - Me 1, Shark 0.
Fan-frickin-tastic DIY video - thank you! Regarding the security screws: I just used a small enough blade screwdriver that fit snuggly on one side of the interfering pin and voila! ...no problem!
I have a shark hv320w. The hose was split like yours. Ordered the hose you posted below. (the 1.25 in diameter one). Followed your instructions and with a lot of elbow grease....viola! Perfect, like new suction. A $10 hose from Amazon beats a $110 new motorized floor nozzle suggested to fix this problem via Shark online. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for very informative video. I watched several before I found yours, which was the best, straight to the point. I have a HV301 and can't find the replacement hose. One repair shop told me I would have to make one because they are not available (????). I called the Shark customer service number and was told that I would have to pay $89 for a new motorized floor nozzle. My vacuum is 5 years old, so that was not about to happen. I found a shop that said he has had that part on backorder forever. He told me to bring it in and he would see what he could do. He found a hose that would fit. The part was $6 and $30 for the labor. It would have been better if I could have found the part and done it myself, but I was more than happy to pay $36 vs.$89 for floor nozzle or $160 for a new one.
just discovered my hose is broken today after a few days of the hoover not picking anything up properly. I'm determined to fix it rather than but a new hoover. Thanks for this gonna order the part and get to it.
I have the same one and am the original owner. Mine didn't have a screw either for where the hose connects towards the roller. it just looks like a pressure pin to hold it in place. Because it's the oem hose im replacing, it was glued into place, and I found just grabbing pliers and ripping it apart/out worked best. If you pull on the metal part of the hose, the plastic will rip and slowly unwind until it is all out. Thank you for the video it helped a lot also with knowing that the hose unscrews counterclockwise out of the top part!
We have the NV800 series and you can no longer screw the hose out as it’s glued so you need to pull it out. Then try and remove the hose from the rubber connectors and with it the glue. Then screwing the new hose back into the rubber connectors is a pain as the keep moving so you need to re glue them before trying to push the connector inside the stem as that is a massive pain. Thanks for the guide though helped a little!.
Nice video. I have the same model and just replaced my hose with your help. My hose didn’t come out nearly as easy, though. In fact, it wouldn’t twist at all and eventually came completely unraveled which also worked, lol.
Thank you so much for this video. I had mine mostly dismantled, but didn’t quite get it apart - I mistakenly busted the torx screw (that’s a new one for me, so I’ll get the kit at Harbor for the future) and as someone mentioned, my hose was glued in so it didn’t come out easy like yours, BUT my replacement hose is on order! Some GooGone to get off the glue and a good cleaning and I’ll be back in business fighting the dust bunnies!
Wish I’d read the last post/comment. Duh! My hose has adhesive at both ends and was a bugger to take out. Besides that issue, everything went well and the vacuum is working better than ever. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
THANK U! You just saved me some $$! I was about to but the Motorized Floor Nozzle ($119, from the Shark website). At Target the vacuum is on sale for $300. God bless you for this video !!!😊😊😊
The only thing that I can’t do after following directions from your amazing video is get my bottom plate back on. It’s like the black piece where the hose sits is jutting out too much or something? Plate won’t go on flat and problem zone is where it’s supposed to seal against one another. Apologies for my lack of technical terms, but hope they help enough. Any help appreciated.
I wonder how many people simply buy a new vaccumm due to a cracked hose? They have inceased since purchasing my exact same model as you repaired. I used tape as well but am ordering replacemt hoses to get a better seal. Great video and good job.
The Shark we have requires some kind of Torx lock tip. You need to get a handled tool, as the bits and holder are much larger than the screw holes. Thanks for the video. I've been applying duct tape through the gap, but I'll break down and buy the extended torx bits and the hose.
Just checked against my Torx lock bit. Ours takes the T20, with the hole in the center of the bit. The deepest screw well is about 1.5 inches deep, so it will require a hand screw driver with at least 2.5" length, not bigger than 1/4" shaft. Thanks for the tube part #. Our German Shepherd won't leave the YF alone when she's vacuuming, insisting on getting his turn at getting vacuumed every few minutes. Vacuuming the dog goes a long way towards keeping the rest of the house cleaner.
Thank you for this video. I just fixed my vacuum too. The one hitch I found is that one of the screws was a tamper resistant torx screw, which did cost me a trip to Lowe’s. Who am I kidding... I’d escape to Lowe’s under any circumstance.
Thank you for this video - we have the same vacuum! We dont have a big dog, but we DO have a cat who seems to shed her body weight in hair every week. (But she _hides_ from the vacuum instead of attacking.)
Thanks for the video, great instructions! I've seen others disconnect the wires so the top half will twist, not realizing your can pop the bottom piece out, so this saves time and work rewiring the connections. Also, I love the dog at the end, my dog has a similar response when i fire up the vacuum.
Thank you so much for this video!
Some tips for newer models: there’s a single security torx screw on my model just outside of where the bottom part of this hose connects. Other posters mention 2, mine had one. Do not force the cover off, if it seems like there’s still a screw somewhere there is! My ring security screw bit worked perfectly (I *forgot* to replace the torx screw with no ill effects to the vacuum cleaner.)
If it’s your first time replacing there is some glue on the inner part where the hose connects.
Finally, Mine seemed to be “missing” the same screw you mentioned, but I know I’ve never taken mine apart so go apologize to your kid/wife/or whoever you thought lost it:)
Pro tip: the filter sets are cheap on Amazon, you may as well replace them too, your vacuum will work like new. Thanks again for taking the time to make this extremely helpful video!!
Thank you for the post. I'm going to pin it.
Thanks for the bit about the torx screw. I got all screws removed and now I can’t get this screw removed. Do you know what size is the screw?
Following up, it was a T15 screw
This video was perfect. Here is a hack to remove the torx screw if you don’t have the right bit

Thank you, Thank you!!! Without you guys showing us how to on YT I'd be lost. Thanks again.
I wish all repair videos were as good as this one...thanks
Fantastic addition to the University of UA-cam. Thankyou so much... links to the bits too!
This is a perfect instruction video. mine was a different model, but it was close enough. Thankyou xx
Glad it helped you.
Awesome. I thought I was gonna have to spend $85 for a base on my shark rotator. FINALLY a tutorial showing me what I actually need to know. THANK YOU!
Glad it was helpful.
You literally saved me from having to buy a whole new vacuum ❤❤❤
Thank you for posting the "how-to" video. Replaced the hose on mine last night. Me and that goo had a bit of a wrestle lol, but with steady pressure, it finally gave up 😆.
Thanks for your help!
You saved me so much money! I was afraid I would have to replace my vacuum. I ordered all the materials and replacement filters and it's like brand new again! Thank so much for this informative video! Very much appreciated!
You can also just rinse the round sponge filter out. Just squeeze it really hard and put it back in.
Thanks for the kind words Glenn.
We also have a Dyson Animal. Works ok but putting it back together after cleaning the filter is difficult.

The day before Thanksgiving and the vacuum cleaner tube split. I followed your instructions, pulled out the tube, wrapped some duct tape (for now), and ordered a replacement tube which will arrive on Friday. Thank you for this video.
Glad you found it helpful.
Thanks. I have that same bit set, very handy.
Favorite part is that lovely Shepherd, Wow! Oh and thank you for the vacuum fix!
This was awesome, thanks! I repaired my hose with glue and tape rather than waiting for a new replacement part, but followed your instructions step-by-step to get the hose removed so I could clean it, glue it, and tape it for added enforcement. It worked like a charm!
Glad you were able to fix it.
Aha! I want to glue my split hose. What glue did you use? How long did it last?
Thank you and thanks for posting these helpful tips.
how did you get the spring back in?
Great comments!
good tips here
Found one of these in the garbage... This fix and some cleaning and it's like new. Thanks for helping me score a $300 vacuum for free!
Free is great!
Thank you for posting this. My wife wanted to throw out our Shark with the same problem. I followed along and fixed it. You saved me about 400 bucks and I appreciate that. Merry Christmas.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas to you too.
Thank you, this video helped me fix my mum's Shark. Brownie points unlocked!
Thanks Kris.
Thank you for this video. Our studio vacuum had this exact issue.
Awesome video. You saved me a lot of time messing around with my vacuum to figure out how to get that hose out!!!
There are a dozen Shark models and yours matched our model somewhat closely even though it was somewhat different. The number of screws was the same. It took me much longer than it did for you but it worked. Thank you much.
What a find! Thanks a bundle. I always come to utube before starting most any new project. You saved me time and money!
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
This is so helpful.
Thank you for your clear instructions!

I just finished changing the lower hose. 1st time. Now for the belt. Thank you for your video. 👍☺️
Great! Glad you were able to fix it.
You are truely a god amongst men - Our Shark lift away split the lower hose after years of faithful service, my wife was devastated. However following your guidance one hose replaced, one working vacuum and one happy wife = happy life. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Thank you so much for this video! I love that you included some humor with your dog!
Thank you Sarah

Thanks for this- really helpful and it’s now working back at 100%
Thank you for the easy-to-understand instructions. No more duct tape to keep the hose together! 🙂
Awesome!
I’m going to reinforce the hose with hose tape…looks like duct tape to me😀
Wish this would have been of a UV560, I can't find a video for the model I have
This video was excellent and inspired me to give it a shot (you gotta love the last scene where the vacuum passed the bowser test!) Replacing the torn hose was a piece of cake! Very good video. Spent a few bucks repairing my shark rather then $300 for a new one. Thank you
Way to go Mitch!
Good stuff, my man! Paid about $50, bought 2 of theblower duct hoses (1 for future) and a torx set - a set with longer torx bits. Great advice! 👍
Thank you
Awesome instructions!! Mine was a different model but this was still valuable information. Could not have been better!! Thanks a bunch for this video, worked perfectly.
Glad it was helpful
Thank you so much for posting this! You just saved me about $100!
Glad you fixed it.
My hose seemed to be glued in and I can't get the replacement to go in as easily as his.
I'm a little desperate right now...🤢
Try either scraping some of the goo out or heat it up with a hair dryer to soften it.
Started the repair, thought 'wait does all this have to come apart?'. Watched your vid, saw that I was going in the right direction and all done now 👍 thank you! Just had a vacuum with the shark back to being stuck to the carpet. Suction is back.
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much! It is really surprising that UA-cam didn't send me a notification about this. I just happened to see it. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this video. I was getting ready to toss my favorite vacuum out of pure frustration. Then I found you!!!
Easy fix for a great vacuum.
Great video, may be mention. You may need starheaded screw drivers. Great price in B & M stores. 😊😊
I like how you fast forward the parts I’m trying to figure out…
Sorry 😔
You can set the playback speed to slow it down.
Hi Bob, I found the same thing but if it hadn't been for this video, I wouldn't have attempted the repair.
Thanks so much! I just fixed mine and saved $110!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful.
That doggo was so ready for that machine to turn on. Probably not his first rodeo. Great video and my lower hose is on order to arrive tomorrow. Now I know what to do with it.
He really does hate that machine. He doesn't bother the Dyson, red devil or the shop vacs.
Thanks that was very helpful I was worried if I could do the repair, no hesitation now. Going to order the new replacement house. 😎
*Exactly* the guidance (and links) I was looking for. This is why UA-cam is so great. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
(The 1.5” hose linked in the description is not currently available, but I easily found a similar one from another seller.)
Thanks for the kind words Ben. I'm glad you were able to find the hose.
I never leave a comment but had to today! I ordered the recommended part below and BAM watched your video and I did it! All fixed! Ty ty ty you just saved me 75 bucks! Woohoo!!
Glad it helped and glad you were able to do it yourself.
Thank you sir you saved me from spending $300 on a new one of these ❤
Thanks for explaining it all from step 1.
No
Thanks a bunch! In case your hose was as badly cracked as mine was you can simply unravel it if you can’t unscrew it. My old was was literally hanging on by a thread when it came time to unscrew the old hose.
You DIY video was awesome! You saved us a lot of $$, the Navigator lives!! The best vacuum for dog and cat hair!
Thank you.
Excellent video just what I was looking for yo repair broken hose thanks very much 😊
Thanks! Have to replace this exact hose!
Good job Tony. Thanks for posting the tips.
I also have that Harbor Freight security bit set and it is very useful.
same problem here with the deep hole. I managed to turn the bit with small pliers. But you can get long shank security torx bits
Fan-frickin-tastic DIY video - thank you! Regarding the security screws: I just used a small enough blade screwdriver that fit snuggly on one side of the interfering pin and voila! ...no problem!
Nice. It's always good when you can make do with what you have.
I know all about the broken hose and GSD hair it's only been a few days and we are covered up by hair. Now I'll try to fix my Shark. Thank you.
You may need a tamper resistant Torx screwdriver bit. A lot of comments from people who needed them. Available at hardware stores and Harbor Freight.
Glad it worked out for you.
It's nice when you find a place that isn't trying to rob you.
just discovered my hose is broken today after a few days of the hoover not picking anything up properly.
I agree, no screw in mine either
Thanks for this video! I was vacuuming earlier & realized there was a long tear in this hose & had no idea how to change but now I do !
Super easy. You can do it!
Thank you!! So easy to follow and I got my vacuum working again :)
Awesome!
Nice video. I have the same model and just replaced my hose with your help. My hose didn’t come out nearly as easy, though. In fact, it wouldn’t twist at all and eventually came completely unraveled which also worked, lol.
Gotta do what you gotta do
Thank You. Great instructions and a beautiful dog. Our Lab gives us enough but I remember our Shepherd donating even more hair than necessary.
Thank you. I wouldn't want any other dog but the shedding is overwhelming. I wonder how the dog isn't bald.
I just left the goo in the pipes and screwed the new hose into it.
Pay attention to the way the hose is spiraled when you screw it in.
Thank you for getting to the point😊
Wish I’d read the last post/comment. Duh! My hose has adhesive at both ends and was a bugger to take out. Besides that issue, everything went well and the vacuum is working better than ever. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Glad you got it fixed. Thanks for watching.
This video was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful.
I'm trying to fix a newer model for my parents but this was still super helpful!
Thank you for the video! My vacuum lower hose needs repaired and now we can do that! ☝️
Yes you can!
Ty it's duct hose on mine jt ordered the new part and watching video to change seems straight forward x
Great video! Love your dog .
Thanks so much. He really hates that vacuum.
Thank you! I fixed my vacuum!!
Awesome! Glad you fixed it.
Thank you so much 💜 your video literally saved my vacuum!!! I had no idea it could be fixed so easy! 🙂
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
From where can we buy the hose and price
While watching the video click '...more' and you'll see the link.
Thank you so much. You saved me a fortune with this video.
Thanks for watching
Thank you so much. I almost threw mine away. Works like new now.
Thanks. Glad you were able to fix it.
Good video. That was as simple as... well, that was not simple but great video and love the pup.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
THANK U! You just saved me some $$! I was about to but the Motorized Floor Nozzle ($119, from the Shark website). At Target the vacuum is on sale for $300. God bless you for this video !!!😊😊😊
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Thanks for video. Replaced hose no problem without breaking any unnecessary parts.
Glad it helped out.
That's awesome!!! Way cheaper than buying a new one. Subbed!
Thank you. Thanks for watching. Thanks for subscribing!
Great stuff, hose changed all working 👍
Glad it worked out for you.
Watch video again. The part with hose is likely not seated correctly it wants to pop out of place.
I wonder how many people simply buy a new vaccumm due to a cracked hose? They have inceased since purchasing my exact same model as you repaired. I used tape as well but am ordering replacemt hoses to get a better seal. Great video and good job.
They must be rich! That vacuum is expensive.
Vacuuming the dog goes a long way towards keeping the rest of the house cleaner.
couldnt find link, This is exact vacuum i have and I desperately need that part, can you please give me link
You should see a little down arrow while you're watching the video to see the description. You may have to click 'more...' to see it.
Thk you I did find it🙌🏿
So helpful thank you! Just fixed mine
Great! Glad it helped.
Thank you for this video. I just fixed my vacuum too. The one hitch I found is that one of the screws was a tamper resistant torx screw, which did cost me a trip to Lowe’s. Who am I kidding... I’d escape to Lowe’s under any circumstance.
Wonder if they added that to newer ones? I just took mine apart that looks like his and I only used a Phillips
On mine, ALL of the screws are tamper resistant torx. About a dozen of them.
Yeap mine has tamper resistant torx as well
What does that mean!
@@marqueritaf1706 it means the head of the torx screw has a small post in the middle. You need a different kind of torx wrench to remove the screw.
great video, straight forward and accurate information thank you.
Thanks for the kind words.
Thank you for this video - we have the same vacuum! We dont have a big dog, but we DO have a cat who seems to shed her body weight in hair every week. (But she _hides_ from the vacuum instead of attacking.)
You're welcome and thank you for watching.
Thank you so much for this vidio.i have the same one with 2 hairy dogs and with the same hose problem...can u send me the link to the hose thanks
The link is in the video description. Just click *...more* while the video is playing.
Thank you so much it was easiest thing I have done. And didn’t need to pay 100+ for the whole lower assembly to shark.
Great news!
It's frustrating that Shark vacuums are priced reasonably, but the replacement parts are EXPENSIVE!
3:20 - there was no screw in that spot on mine - had a helluva time lining that piece back in
Thanks for the video. Easy to follow.
I have a shark vertex upright vacuum, and the hose on both ends are flattened. Any idea how to fix it? 😢
Sorry, no idea.
Thanks for the video, great instructions! I've seen others disconnect the wires so the top half will twist, not realizing your can pop the bottom piece out, so this saves time and work rewiring the connections. Also, I love the dog at the end, my dog has a similar response when i fire up the vacuum.
Glad you liked it.
Not sure why he hates the vacuum so much.
