- Highgate Cemetery is a place of burial in north London, England. There are approximately 170,000 people buried in around 53,000 graves across the West and East Cemeteries. Highgate Cemetery is notable both for some of the people buried there as well as for its de facto status as a nature reserve.
My Visit To Highgate Cemetery London. I take you on a walk around some old graves including the grave of Karl marx. Great train robber Bruce reynolds Final resting place And hidden graves from the 1700s and 1800'S.

At the end of the day everyone has a storey. Its sad people and babies children die so young. Cemetery so peaceful to get away from busy life. Thanks for sharing.

This is probably my favorite part of Highgate. You did an impressive job here. In addition, "Sacred to the treasured memory of friendship and ..." Wasn't that a beautiful way of paying a tribute to someone on their headstone? That is so touching to me. Not just their memory but their treasured friendship also. This was during WWII. Well done!

Such a beautiful place ! Most of the graves have fabulous headstones/monuments. They have character. Here in the U.S. they don't do that very often. Thanks for sharing!

New subscriber. This is top of my list and I've not yet been! I'm a dual citizen of the US and UK. This January makes 14 years in England. In California, the place to be was Colma. Have you read about it? I am sure you probably have. San Fransisco ran out of room and off when the coffins to their own town! I've loads of pictures from there. So many peaceful walks and pictures to remember them by. Thank you for sharing these!

Marx is one of the most visited graves in Highgate cemetery east section. With lots of history attached I couldn't leave it out
Surprised being High Gate is pretty neglected people who have died as recently as 2014 opted to be buried there. Yes, I see that. Really well maintained in a lot of areas but overgrown in others.
It's taken care of by workers in parts
When you was reading dawn austen.s headstone you could hear a voice 👍

It's beyond beautiful
A lovely place to visit & is on my “To do list”
My only issue is the admission charge
Whilst there are lots of famous graves a lot of it is unkempt & overgrown so not really sure what the fee is for 🤷♀️
It's a very big cemetery so work is ongoing
Did you hear an EVP around the 3:55 mark? I can't make out what was said but something was said. It's right after you looked at the little girl statue that was missing a hand. You read what was written on the statue and right after that you can hear something.
