George Michael has by far the neatest and well kept grave at Highgate. Visited in 2019 and found it absolutely amazing.

I wonder how different the site would have felt were you wandering around after dark with a flaming torch...Or even a grey afternoon when the fog comes down. Bet it would have been a quicker visit! Very atmospheric place, even when viewing on the small screen. Top work as always, Steve, really enjoyed 'walking' around with you and learnt a lot.

Surprised they don't do after dark tours tbh what with the Hammer horror film connections, but I gather due to the Highgate Vampire stuff back in the 80s around David Farrant, they shy away from anything relating to the macabre.

Quite an amazing place. I hope the cemetery is being maintaned enough to keep it respectable for the residents resting there.

Marx split with Lenin and the reason he split was that Marx envisioned a non-hierarchical community designed by and owned by labor- the working class, with rotating leadership who held as much power as the workers. An employee owned company is the perfect representation of Marxism.
Lenin believed this couldn't happen without a 'strong man' authoritarian leader who held absolute power. So Marx split with him.
Lenin won- but Marx still gets attacked for Lenins creation. There has never been a true 'Marxist' society outside - for example- Native American tribes and other egalitarian tribal groups.

Marx wrote the communist manifesto not Lenin. 100 million died because of MARXS manifesto.
