    • @osimeon00

+Eccentricka1, sometimes God has a more important assignment he needs certain people to do in Heaven than on Earth and he'll take them home early to do it. People think Heaven is a retirement center for souls. It's a busy active place with things that need to be done that affects all creation. It's one of the many reasons young people die early.

Aaliyah tended to sing a octave lower when singing live , you can hear it in her voice her voice sounds different from the record/ a little shakey its live as for her falsetto that was a very easy register for her she mastered it by the time she was 14 when she had her first album.

What I like about Aaliyah is that her dancing was still good and memorable but she didn't have to do the most. She had really good subtle dancing. Side note: can people stop comparing her to Beyoncé!!! Two completely different artists. Beyoncé is a power singer and Aaliyah had a much softer quality to her voice. Both incredibly talented, incredibly beautiful Black Women. Instead of pitting Black Women against each other we should be building them up because let's be real, they both are dope ass artists.

That chest voice of hers is impressive (dark and STRONG) and uses it extensively live. I'm convinced she was a true alto. A very rare voice among the ladies but it in this genre if anything they are over represented. I should know, I'm a contralto myself like Toni Braxton. Compare her with Beyonce at the same age whose chest voice is nothing in comparison to Aaliyah's

At least you said she can sing instead of having poor judgement to say oh she can't. All she needed to do was sound like the record, not be Whitney Houston. Alot of singers today can't do that. But she was a good vocalist and could've been better over time.
