A thought for future baubles: if you use PVA or mod Podge on the inside, the glitter will be mostly trapped inside. Use a runny glue, pour inside, and then twirl it around until it covers the whole bulb. Then dump out any extra glue before adding glitter. If you do it before you resin, it can be drying inside while you pour the resin and let it harden.
I did kind of the same thing last year, but I used paint with 2 to 3 colors. I think I'd like them better with resin. Maybe even using one color, let it set up then another one and maybe some glitter afterwards. Maybe glue inside with the glitter too.
Those are absolutely adorable!! I'm so going to do this for our 🎄 instead of waisting money on expensive ones or cheap ones that won't last!! Thank you Steve for this creative idea!! 💙
These turned out beautifully! Have you tried putting the glitter inside the ornament/bauble? That might work, too. I really like these. You could do a pour like this over a resin piece as well....so many ideas!! 😃💜
Oh my gosh Steve… these are so very pretty! What a wonderful idea with beautiful results. Thank you for sharing this and getting me excited for Christmas decorations! 🎄✨😘💕 ✨🎄
All beauty’s! After the holidays they usually put these bulbs in clearance for so cheap..gonna grab some this year. All the glitters that fall off- save/funnel them in a condiment cup or an empty/cleansed spice bottle & label it ‘trash glitter’ ...in a few months there’s enough to make beautiful earrings or bangles or whatever. It’s usually mostly silver with lots of colors mixed in but always insanely cool! After buying so much glitters that come in zippee bags I now save every plastic spice bottle & soak off the labels(or just add my labels over😁). I’m sure that’s what they use bc there’s have a shaker side and a spoon 🥄 side. They sell the bottles online for $1.49 each! I’d rather wash & reuse. My family is so funny asking me “uhh is it ok to throw this away?” on many things these days 😂 Ok I’m out.. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art pieces!! 👌💯✌️✌️✌️
When you were pouring the resin onto the first bauble I was leaning into my iPad not expecting the fast forward and music! I almost fell off my chair! ! 🤣😂🤣 question though! On the one you did on the wrapping paper ornaments you said to let the PVA dry for about 10 to 15 minutes then add the glitter but here you put it on right away! Was it because the bauble is plastic? Probably a silly question!
I was wondering this too. Or if you did a slightly thinner resin and used a couple colors together then added glitter and clear resin over all of that!

These did come out nice, they are all beautiful!!
Those are really pretty! I think the blue with the gold glitter is my favorite.
they do look great. if you spary hairspray over the glitter stops it from coming off :)

Thank you, Dr. Mc.
I like those Steve
I think I’ll do this by spraying glue inside the bauble before doing the resin pour. Thanks, Dr. Mc.
Fantastic idea. Bet they will look great on a tree
They're lovely Steve the glitter and resin make stunning baubles!

Have you ever used a tumbler turner with these?
After putting the glitter on can you also add more resin to keep the glitter from falling off the ornament?

I would have added a shiny coating.
Why didn't you put the glitter on the inside? It would have shown through only between the resin, and never come off on your hands. LOL

Don't care for these at all, they look like something a child would make not a professional artist.
