Interesting review, however an important factor you didn't cover and many other reviewers have also missed out on is the feature that it can print directly on to CD/DVD labels like the XP-8700 as well, and I had to contact Epson directly to find out about this and they said the Printer tray for discs is located underneath one of the paper trays which I found later, I hope this is a help for those who wish to print directly to discs rather than use stick on labels which go corrupt after 5 years due adhesive surface movement okay.

@@KhaledsTech I think it's dried in and out of direct sunlight. The paper I'm using is glossy white sticker paper from amazon. Evergreen goods. The GSM is 80. Maybe I need to fiddle around with settings?
Thanks so much for your reply!!
You're welcome. Please have a play with the settings. Do you use third party ink cartridges?
@@KhaledsTech no, the ones it came with. I'll keep playing with them and see if something works :) thanks again
You're most welcome :)
Can this print on 400GSM cardstock?
Hi, just checked the maximum stated is 305GSM.
How does the 2sided printing work on this? Is it automatic 2 sided or do you have to reinsert the page for it to print on the other side?
Hi Alex, it automatically gets fed back into the printer when two siding printing is selected. No need to change it manually.
@@KhaledsTech great. Thanks!
@@alexfergus8149 You're welcome.
Duplex works great.
I cant seem to change the envelope settings, to do DL and also C5 any help would be appreciated
Hi, sorry for the late reply I have been busy with work. I will look into this for you and get back with an update.
Have you checked paper setup under paper source settings in printer settings?
Does this printer has Refillable Cartridges ?
Hi Victor, not officially but I am pretty sure 3rd party suppliers will have a refillable option.
@@KhaledsTech Thank you so much for your reply. You are really kind. I appreciate it.
@@NewkiwiNews You're most welcome Victor
Nice review, stay safe
Thank you bro. You too.
Do you load photo paper gloss side down
Gloss side up my friend.
@@KhaledsTech Thank you for this simple reply. I have never been sure which side of photo paper goes up and don't seem to find such instruction in the manuals. Thanks again.
You're welcome Tim, that's no problem at all. Thank you.
Is this good for printing art work and art prints
Yes it is Edward.
@@KhaledsTech was gonna pick one up,but apparently no where has them in stock.. lol
I had to wait a while for mine to be available too. They are quite hard to get ahold of.
my printer will not accept the copied inks?
Hi, are you sure they're compatible with your printer? It may come up with a warning but you should be able to bypass that.
does it print on transparent paper?
I am not too sure haven't tried it.
@@KhaledsTech okay thank you
@@KhaledsTech any cheap suggestions though? for screen printing.
@@OutHereTj Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I just saw your message now. Sorry Tijan I don't quite understand your question can you elaborate? Do you mean any cheap printers that can print on transparent paper?
Can i print a 5x7 picture with this printer?
Yes you can
Is it saving ink a lot
It uses roughly the same amount of ink as the genuine ones however since its alot cheaper you end up saving a fair amount.
Is this any good
Hi Gemma, I have been using this printer for a while now and it's been great.
How do you set it up on the tablet
Download the Epson app. Make sure your printer is connected via WiFi and then search for it. You can also set it up via WiFi Direct.
Nice video
Thank you for sharing

Hi Rene de boer, i was looking for a printer that will print my photos i saw you are a photograper. would you recomend this printer !
I am your average user and print photos occasionally, from my experience the quality of the prints are really good.
@@elstimmers1469 yes it will np good printer for it
can i print something from my ipad on this
Hi Katie, Yes you can.
@@KhaledsTech alright, thanks (:
You're welcome
This was almost a good review, but what's the point in doing a review of a photo printer and not including it printing photos?
Point noted my friend. This was my first proper review of a product and I didn't really know how to show the pictures in its full glory. I will eventually upload some pics on my Instagram channel.
In my next printer review I will make sure I show the photo quality 😊

The ink cartridges are too expensive for this printer.
They are indeed.
This is by far the worst printer I've ever used. No manual, no quick start guide, insists on printing everything on A4 no matter what I do in settings. It prints as required from my old Win 7 pc but a complete turkey on my new Win 10 pc. Anyone got any ideas before I return it? Am I missing something?
Hi, Download the Epson full suite of software to make the best use of this printer.

@@KhaledsTech Very many thanks. That's solved it. I'd tried to locate drivers through the Epson site but I couldn't even find this printer listed. Very grateful for the direct link to where I needed!
Fantastic, glad it's all working now :) if you come across any other issues do let me know.
@@KhaledsTech Thanks again.
how can you review a product but show NO pictures? Come on!
Another video is coming out, I am working on the features and photo prints.
