When targeting sight-feeding smallmouth bass on sandy flats, it's essential to have the right equipment. Dudley discusses the importance of using a jig head that allows the bait to fall straight to the bottom vertically but not too fast. There good I have made a few outa buttons and just added liquid steel. Another is ABSplastic with micro spears brilliant that stuff sink rate is unreal good for skipping lures under thick cover at 25m mark.
Excellent presentation David. I used to catch bass regularly with my deadly Nedly. Then catchs stopped and I sought another presentation with no better success.

A lot of anglers do prefer scented plastics with some of these slower presentations that allow fish more time to nose and inspect the bait.
