@Ishtiaq Ahmed It is interesting history - A Cabinet Mission came to India in 1946 in order to discuss the transfer of power from the British government to the Indian political leadership, with the aim of preserving India's unity and granting its independence - it was a *joint India proposal* of Britain (although before 1947, India was already divided into multiple independent princely states as each state had its own currency, military and independent governmental system) joint India proposal that was offered when Nehru on behalf of Gandhi Jee rejected the prime offer proposed to Indian leadership. As Nehru jee wanted to eat the whole pie, Cabinet Mission prime offer was rejected along with the lame excuses. That Mr. Jinnah accepted -- Question is who refused that prime offer of Joint India initially that Britain offered ??
Pakistan still part of Communist China and ready to give access to them so called "warm water" theory
The fact is till 1947 India was not "Joint India" in true sense -- already divided into multiple independent princely states
btw, *now socialist or leftist India is in the hands of Capitalist, not Socialist - Ready to fight on behalf of Capitalist and Imperialist US and UK against the interest of Communist Russia and Communist China*

I'm an Indian and this conversation was so nice to watch. Aftab Iqbal and Ishtiaq Ahmed are so respectful and thorough gentlemen. This is how political discussions should be like. Not like the ones in India where they keep on wanking and whining.

Thanks to both of you for this insightful dialogue. Content is so enriching that I watched both episodes (1&2) in one go.
This video came as youtube suggestion while I was watching Dr Parvez & Dr Ishtiaq conversation.
I watched many documentaries n read (college) books on history of 1940s India , none was so clear n crisp.
[ I watch (Dr) Aftab Iqbal loose cannon, open mic and Khabardar ] they are really encaptivating.

It is staggeringly eye-opening that when two intelligent persons converse in a quiet and academic environment, what facts get revealed impassionately. As an Indian I am gobsmacked at the granular events that have led to the country being partitioned and their current state of relationships.
