I'm 70 Yrs old and my first big bike was a 1970 Triumph T100C.
    I'm on my third Triumph and second T100R Daytona, it's a 1970.
Your bike was made in October 1972.
My T100R is fitted with Tri-Star ignition, digital rectifier (like yours)
and an external triumph oil filter off a Triumph/BSA tripple. I fits snuggly
under the seat along side the oil tank, clipped to the frame down pipe.
Runs a treat and ride it most weeks.

Im pleased to announce that after watching Nova motorcycles, Chris Rooke and mike from Mighty garage that I wanted a Norton but I have three bikes already so wasnt actively searching. But the wife and I were walking the pup around the block when a neighbor struck up a conversation about the dog. This guys is a gear head with car projects all over and motorcycles too. a hoarder type. we started talking about the motorcycles when he said there was a 1969 Norton in the back shed and I said what really can I see it. So we go back there tripping over junk and there it was a rusty cruddy blue 1969 I think S with fiberglass tank and halo headlight and the older style steel rusty chrome triple trees. After thinking about it and dreaming three weeks later we dug it out and 1000 dollars, me and the wife pushed it home. It is partially disassembled and missing some items. No exhaust pipes so I dont know if its an s or a roadster. I found the barrels and head in his garage but need outer primary. head mount, intake, carbs, air box grill and backplate, one rocker arm ,shaft, one valve cover, clutch. headers. he may find these items in his garage I hope. also came with spare short block. started stripping it down. the fun begins. I need all the special tools but I got it stripped down to just bare frame engine/ trans still in. started bead blasting and painting the small bits.

Twin leading front shoes I think you need them when doing a ton up down a bypass when acar driver pulls out slip road 600yards in front

You'll have to do another video once it's painted and put back together. Which aftermarket regulator/rectifier did you go with?

The condenser cover on the single down tube underneath the tank, is this how they came from the factory?

Yes it is. Triumph had them mounted either here or down on the points plate itself, depending on year.

If your ALUMINUM conrod gets ovalized, then it can be fixed. Dan at Franz & Grubb can fix it for you. Done 2 for me so far. I don't pamper my bikes either.

Steel con rods, yes. Ovaling on aluminum rods is a sign of metal fatigue and means those rods aren't safe to run. You might get away with it, but if you don't...

Can I have his old head? I know a machinist that will replace the valve seat.
