I'm 51 I just started trying to make beats to help reduce stress. I have a Maschine setup and an Akai setup. It really helps after a tough ass day to sit down and create. It takes your mind to a whole other place. Learning both setups is fun but challenging but I wouldn't change anything

I started out wit a sp 1200 then got a mpc 2000 , the new mpc's you can do more with and still midi to the s950 ( the old school way of bass lines filtering) try one out you"ll see the added technology
