From 1977 to 1987 the Japanese dominated the Match Sprint at the UCI World Championships. Koichi Nakano won 9 consecutive World Championships, an unmatched record. I think the answer to your question is really really well when they are willing to make the sacrifice. However, It requires them to lose a lot of money to go and compete at the “World” level because they have to take the time off from the Keirin racing circuit in Japan to do it.

全ての選手のサドルに座る位置を見ていたんだけど、浅井選手だけは極端な「前乗り位置」→サドルの先端に腰を降ろしている感じ｡
ハンドルを低く持ってサドルの前方に腰を降ろすと、ペダルに体重が乗りやすくなる為、ケイリンの様なスプリンター競技では有利に働きやすい。
ロードバイク等に乗った事がある人なら分かるかと🤔
