Lucia Lacarra is divine in this piece. Smirnova always looks so detatched and bored. No connection with her partners. Her head is never quite in the proper line with her body, either. Drives me crazy. And, I always feel like she's going to fall on her turns. Yikes! Don't get me wrong...she is a beautiful ballerina, just doesn't do much for me.
You cannot say in the same comment "yikes!" about her dancing and then say she's a beautiful ballerina. Either one or the other. In my opinion Olga Smirnova is a great ballerina and a brave woman. I admire her.
@princessKi69 after watching Lucia Lacarra, I thought Lucia was wonderful but when I watched Olga, everything changed for me. Olga shows beautiful training of hers and shows passion, unique her big dramatic movements which shows her phrasing and musicality, by far Olga’s is the best. Her physique and lines are superb so emotional. Maybe you are something that is more intimate like Lucia, she was dancing with Cyril who was her husband once. By far this performance was superb and shows off of her backgrounds of training as well as what she has danced. You can see Giselle Swan Lake and many other ballet in this performance.

Mostly it's beautiful. A few clunky moments but by and large lovely? Is this Ashton's choreography? It seems a bit different. I did enjoy them though.
