      Yeah. That is true. But they're still making it easier and easier for players even that have played for thousands of hours by making guild bases that have everything you need, oaths for knowledge, deepshore fossils for any enchant, making pve scaling better so monsters aren't as hard, etc.

      @@QuackQuakeit’s normal for a game, especially a roguelike, to allow you to do things that were difficult but have become just tedious much more convenient. It also makes sense to get xp and loot from the same thing, though they should definitely pivot towards full dungeons and the world events they’ve been vaguely talking about forever

      @@QuackQuake They have to considering the BROKEN voidwalker system that incentivizes gripping weaklings as does the new guild leaderboards. they better reduce the grind if theyre gunna add 20 different systems to shit on new players. tf is the point in taking 3 to 10 hrs for a build if you cant even walk 5 feet off your ship due to voidsweaters and the depths is 200x worse than it was at this time last year due to the aids broodlord and absolutely pointless and freshie grip incentivizing guild leaderboard. deep is falling off. its clearly a massive issue when the meta for pvp is leaving before it happens and sound whoring void tp. lets not even talk about the weapons with 50 different crits like the bladeball sword (pyre) and silentheart freshie jerker (wrymstooth)

    my favorite deepwoken bug is when you get put in a wall by random teleports, die, and can't get restored! helps the immersion and fun of the game so much.

    My favourite deepwoken bug is being able to summon Kaido ANYWHERE using kamui. Gotta love ruining Erisia ganks with it.

    a big issue is that loot became very common and all comes from places like diluvian and maestro, both kneejerk reactions to how players felt the game was dead. They traded rarity of weapons for player retention and theyve done this a few times in the past its just a recurring theme tbh. Whenever theres a new weapon expect that when the game gets dead theyll dangle it in front of the players like a carrot on a stick to keep us going until the next big update. In my opinion its a problem because legendary weapons just dominate over every other weapon in most scenarios especially with how common theyve become. In verse 1 youd see a legendary weapon once every other week and now its like everyone runs one. You could make a gale build with heavy but lowkey youd be doing yourself dirty to not use curved, same with pyrekeeper for flame or flame/shadow and etc
    anyway my point is that making legendaries so common and drop from just 1 area easy to access really killed the buildmaking because now legendary weapons are damn near common for anyone who has a decent pve slot. They dont feel legendary when everyone and their mom has one

    I've been saying this a lot but Deepwoken slowly became what the devs didn't want it to be: a grindy, generic, bandit beater with boring progression. The only thing I really enjoy about Deep are the player interactions and the drip u can have

      Only reason I've been on deep in the last 2 years was cosplaying. And they still haven't added a transmog system that doesn't involve spending 800 notes per piece, instead they spam dyes on everything and allow you to look like a christmas tree.

    Animation Swapping(also known as Anim Stealing and Animation Transfer) is a bug which lets you take the m1 animations of one weapon and transfer them onto another weapon. This bug requires you to have two weapons: the weapon you want the stats of, and the weapon you want the animations of, and any "Wisp" mantra. To perform the glitch, equip the weapon you want the stats of, and then hold out the weapon you want the animations of. Then both click and cast your "Wisp" mantra at the same time. If done correctly, a weapon should appear in your inventory. Then, simply change the stance of your weapon. And now you have the m1s of the second weapon. You still retain crits, stats, and appearance. If the bug is done incorrectly, you lose the ability to swap weapons. To remedy this, simply leave and rejoin. Do not sheathe your weapon after performing the bug, as you lose the animations.

    the deepwoken evolution: first, it was really hard to get good enchanted or good hp equipment, you would get some sh like 2 hp leather boots multiplicity, then they buff the enchant rarity by 3x, add laplace (the 3 enchant npc), and enchant stones plus the deepshore fossil come with layer 2. enchants now are just JUNK, i skip enchants in chests like 95% of the times because i can just get a deepshore fossil or get my equipment enchanted with klaris. deepwoken completely obliterated enchants as in value, ppl dont even use them anymore. you were supposed to grind days if you wanted a good enchanted weapon, and even more to get good hp gear. and to GROUND the rarity completely, they add armourer's needle. the grind now is mindless as you said, you just do floor 2 or ferryman (armourer's needle) to be able to do pvp, because if you dont have a 500 hp build you're gonna get whacked in seconds. deepwoken is so done

      Grinding isn't skillful or fun, it was always mindless, there wasn't a way to get enchants in a skillful way, you still had to farm the same primadon with the same moveset like 30 times. It's blox fruit gameplay lmao. And there's still the idiotic grind with "legendary" weapons and their rarity is used to justify their increased power, which is yet again bandit beater logic.
      Enchants should've been sold as this choice you had to make, like most curses. Can your build make use of this enchant? What enchant would be best for your build? Some enchants right now are just braindead damage boosts with little ways to play around them, they don't really fit any builds in particular. Enchants should've never been straight upgrades for the sake of them being "rare", and now that they're not rare they're just lame.

      Yeah i liked when there was things to look forward to and not everyone had “legendary” weapons but neither system was good, what they shouldve done was add complex bosses that are actually really hard but are guaranteed to give you something worthwhile. Instead they made everything extremely easy and made the droprates high

    when you started talking abt fishing being a good way to get loot, it is. ive gotten a pyre keeper and a imperial staff from fishing and its super safe aswell cause you can just hide your guild base in a really weird spot and just fish in the guild fishing room for easy legendaries aswell, i fish a lot and its the way i level up my fortitude cause if you didnt know everytime you catch a fish it gives you a little fortitude xp

    Just to add to this video, remove mantras and elements, and make the m1s a 5 hit combo, then add Shinobi, Dslayer, and Druid to the game (the only 3 "Oaths" you can go)

    my favorite deepwoken bug is when you use teleportation and your tp gets stuck in a wall somehow, which means your tp goes like 5 feet from where you started.

    I get what you're trying to say but personally, I don't think this would change much for returning players. The only time I actively care about getting loot is when I'm on a maxed out PvE slot finding weapons or godrolls anyway. This change would be amazing for new players though.

      Yea, I'm sort of in the same boat. Although the nice part is that even for getting money during progression, exploring would be more encouraged to find gear to sell. And once you want really good gear and you're done with progression, you'd probably fight bosses anyways. I just like the idea of splitting the two to create more variety.

    buddy the game isnt easier, players have just completely overrode the grind. When the devs don't make quality of life updates the players complain about progression sucking. and when the devs add something that is actually dangerous or difficult, (ex. mudskipper broodlord) the community enters an uproar of going "ooH bAd uPDatE I cAN geT WIPed" and bitching

      i’m not sure about you but when i progress, voidwalkers add a nice change of pace but i’ve been playing the game for 500 hours now and fighting voidwalkers is a fun way to test my build

    i think balancing between exploring, interractions and thoes things and fighting pvp and pve is what makes a rpg perfect. so the game stays intresting while not losing its charm . i think deepwoken needs to focus a little bit more on thoes fun little interractions cus thoes can impact the way you see the game in the long run .

    I feel like there should be an endless mode of divulian or somethibg like that, because for a starter player this game is still extremely difficult... So I think it is better that you guys get more stuff and more uniqueness to areas. Because for me it is just Lone warrior power 8, go to etris, make that my spawn, go back to minityrsa, crypt of unbroken. Grind there until I am power 16 and then go and do bosses until I have everything I want. So sad.

    maybe make it more diverse where difrent items spawn and make a new system where items have difrent buffs so people try and get them too. The only 2 boots that are okay right now is star and imperial. If it was made so that brilliant boots had 30% stealth or fur boots had a unique talent (ofc balanced) I think more would farm places like summer isles or meteor isles. These buffs dont even need to be much, just something that you would pick for a special kind of build.

    The issue with this is it encourages running around enemies to get loot quickly, but then you’ll try to level up and be told “you should’ve been killing those enemies.” Then you basically need to kill enemies and get loot at the same time, and suddenly there’s the ease of being here being things so separate as 2 since you’ll get to drops super easily. A freshie could not fight anything but sail into a high level island and run to a chest drop.
    Also, my favorite bug is voidwalkers existing as they are

    To be fair the grind was there since the beginning.
    Getting good gear is always RNG because sometimes you see something with a good as hell 20 HP and 14% Monster armor 💀

    The only method of progression that would work *MOSTLY* well for everyone is either pvp based or storyline based in any game, as PvE will always be optimised to be easy, “exploration” is just an excuse to add random things in the most secluded locations that will then turn into a “go to the wiki and follow the map” and atleast the story mode will have some sort of content to keep the player distracted from them realising they are doing normal progression and boss fights but with a linear path, and for pvp progression, it would work if this game wasn’t perma death, and is probably only slightly better than the PvE experience for most people

    What you should complain about more is pve everyone says the hardest pve challenge is the diluvian but for the diluvian you need a min maxed pve build and you spam m1 no actual skill required

    1. exp n loot system
    say, if they seperated progression and gear looting. yes, it would encourage travelling more but it would also ruin one of deepwokens biggest merits of being able to get loot alongside your progression.
    and uquie loot is already solved with dungeons and bosses(dilluvian armor, storms eye, etc). and getting gear while traveling is already solved also with random islands, of course they dont house the best loot but you can stop by one once in a while and get some loot.
    2. Traveling
    yeah i have no words for this, this shit is mid. but it is kinda solved by random encounters but those are also mid, but there really isnt a good way to solve this as many games also have the same problem.
    3. Waiting around
    i do agree with this, deepbound really dosent fit with deepwokens style as you need to wait around for events to spawn. this could be fixed by adding more exploration content but that will also require you to sacrifice progression for the sake of looting and will just increase your time spent on the game and make it more dreadful. i think a way to fix this is, like you said, something like fishing. or maybe small quests you can do while you wait that grants you additional support for your progression.

    I dont think adding chest spawns would do anything good. Cuz its boring lol. Like nothing to fight, no bandits or monsters for free chest? Ehhh
    I think a better incentive would be to add events where you can only get IF you travel more. So of course, more events that spawn for you specially. Kinda like the bad rep ambush event but like, better.
    A band-aid fix would be something like you get a multiplier for switching enemies or bosses.
    Your character might have a dialogue saying "Your potential is limited by your habits" as a sign to hop off dukes pp and go do something else for better loot and exp

    They should make whirlpools that look exactly like the ones that
    send you to the depths, but instead it sends you to a dungeon that's really hard, you would have to get
    good then and cant get boosted cuz you can only do the dungeon alone. It would have like duke and
    maestro and a buncha other hard bosses and mobs like squibbo, and the lore for it would be
    "Thy strong souls (if you've been playing for a while not lvl or anything) shall not appear in
    Scyphozia, thou souls shall be enhanced and stronger" (basically they'll give them new stronger
    moves so the bosses will be insanely harder and if you die you wipe, will be annoying but its meant to be a hard game) theres a chance you get into the dungeon though.

      The moment you mistake tedium with difficulty is when you game goes to shit. This is what they did with trial difficulty.
      Something like a bonekeeper with 40k HP that can 3shot you isn't hard because it actually takes skill, it's hard because it's boring as fuck to fight and your mistakes are unfairly punished, it doesn't even feel like an achievement because it's so menial. A hard fight is one that challenges your knowledge and mechanical skill, not your patience or how good you are at memorizing the same attacks over and over. Just throwing 10 bosses at a player isn't only unfair, but it's just not fun, all in the name of "le hard". A hard game needs to be interesting to warrant its difficulty, why don't they actually make some hard enemies with complex movesets that don't rely on being bullet sponges? (because they need to rerelease the game a 3rd time and add league of legends).

    bro just go back to rogue lineage, if you dont like the game that much and literally just want it to be another rogue lineage then don't play it... Getting loot and exp from the same thing makes sense because who wouldnt keep their most valuables on them??? And it really shouldn't be changed and along with that scouring the map for like 1 piece of loot would just be more tedious and less fun than it already was. Also on the whole point of "they made pve scaling easier" they haven't added anything exept for chain and starting with more pve dmg for a while now.

    they gotta overhaul the enitre game dude im gonna be real the combat is bland and you have to wipe your build literally every month or two cause the nerfs/buffs to mantras or talents, the progression is garbage and mindrotting cause it's literally just run laps around every corner of an island until you hear the sound of an event so you can power up, can't forget the brainrotted sea "progression" aka get on a boat and spend 7 minutes sailing to one or two islands and to all of you people saying "deepwoken progression is boring because you played it for a long time" literally a week into the game on it's release i was already getting bored and i had to mentally gaslight myself into thinking ragoozer cooked something wild up cause he made rogue (he ain't cook shit, agility had ZERO combat talent cards on release) nobody likes playing this game from the beginning to the end, not even if you're new to it unless you gaslight yourself or let others gaslight you

    Too much, too late. They've already trivialized so much stuff in this game, it's not even about "difficulty", it's literally just not needing to play "the game" or interact with the greater part of the game as much. You have everything you need in your guild base, stuff like deluvian and some other "farm" methods give you literally everything you need, brother why would I ever go to a place like summer island anymore besides upgrading lightning mantras?
    There's literally little to no incentive to interact with the game, it has devolved into a build maker with quick and easy ways to make builds - I think the "quick and easy" is a result of wiping, obviously if progression was still tedious no one would play anymore so instead of acknowledging they slapped on permadeath because "muh rogue lineag", they just dumbed down the entire game so it could better fit with the fact that you can lose 10 hours of gameplay over some BS. And the game expects you to play for another 10 hours because?? It's not like remaking that build will make me immune to bullshit spawns or getting 5v1ed in the depths, the skill ceiling is really fucking low when it comes to general gameplay. There's legit no reason to play anymore, they're giving me no reason to try to engage with the big ass world, doing anything besides the braindead efficient gameplay loop is just shooting yourself in the foot. Experimenting feels awful in this game and is heavily punished.
    But hey, at least they're adding side gamemodes seeing as no one wants to play the "real" Deepwoken anymore. They're adding "rare" slop people farm for because Deepwoken always strived to be Blox Fruits (farm the same bossfight until your eyes fall off for the shiny rare blade ball weapon). This rant was what I would've said about the game 1 year ago, lmao, it's still exactly the same complaints fromthe community as a whole, but they're just planning to re-release their game a 3rd time with conquest. See you when Deepwoken gets relreleased like a 5th time, maybe by then the gameplay loop will have improved.

      Again, as I've said, maybe the 5th time they re-relrase the game they'll finally go down the original path they had in mind for Deepwoken, until then they gotta release another 3 layer 2 style updates (next one being conquest).
