This scene sealed the deal for me- I wasn’t sure about the show; but god damn what an ending!

Seriously? Episodes 9 and 10 were the hardest nose dive in quality I've ever seen a TV show experience. Yeritza's acting was questionable and the protection of the innocent shtick was painfully overplayed. It was a great disappointment considering how great some episodes were.

@@JR-hi9bu Dear JR, I do greatly appreciate your perspective. Is it possible that any movie that dealt with the "protect the innocent shtick" (yiddish original word is schtick) would feel contrived to you? But when, perhaps, one TRUE High Priestess came from out of mythology and into HUMAN form, in what way would she HAVE to differ from your preconceived notion in order for the "scene" to work here? Let's pretend you don't have any experience viewing or reading about Moses. But you've seen a lot of mythology movies, and at the high point of the movie this long haired old worn out dude says to the people who were once slaves with him and they have followed him to what looks to be the ocean, or a sea; huge waves anyway. And the dude claps his hands over his head, slowly bows to the sea, cups some sand and throws it at the sea and ...the oceans rumble apart, every DROP, til the sand is dry at their feet and a WALL of moving water is parted and the people are to walk through this path to the other side to get away from the slave captors and killers and those that use babies to form bricks when there isn't enough straw hauled in that day... so the walk the dangerous path trusting the man who thru the sand. Would he have been too dramatic? Or undramatic..that Moses? How do you know what is too much or not enough from some one endowed and burdened with such a task? Perhaps this is what ACTING and DIRECTING and WRITING COLLABORATION is. Deciding what that character is, and BE IT. For MANY of us, SHE WAS IT. For many of us, your eyes are open buy your mind is closed. I don't know what you saw, or what you think you saw, or what you hoped to see. But Marvel, Spielberg, Tarantino nor Lucas, were not part of this gem. So, it's not like any of those. That's how it works in the movies :) So be a mensch and mind open WITH the eyes dear.

@@missryanswers773 the protecting the innocent schchchchchtick isn't a problem in and of itself; if I felt it was I would have said as much. The issue is its being overplayed - the series reiterates it over and over and over and over again with Viggo and Yeritza without exploring it in a particularly interesting way. I'm still unsure with what you're getting at with your whole Moses tangent. Are you trying to decontextualise it to make it sound absurd? If you're going to make your response so very bloated at least make it coherent. Be a sane human person and write WITH comprehension in mind.

It's funny because the lady who is singing the song and Yaritza are dropping the biggest hint and warning to the cartel members of who she is and they just think its a song being sung.

This is a series for women. I had no idea. I was enjoying the pace of the movie. I got angry when things shifted in the 9th episode into something far beyond. But I stuck with it to see if perhaps that was a dream sequence. And then ... all of this. I was love struck with this scene. I will never forget it. I am moved, and disturbed all at once. Disturbed that men cannot fathom the depths of darkness every single woman on the face of the earth has to face by the concern of men and what may secretly, or not so secretly, torment them... and they do not go seek out Shaquille O'Neal or The Rock types to take out their aggressions or tensions. They seek something smaller, prettier, weaker- very mentally impotent of every man who does it. Very weak with the IQ and stamina and humanity of an aged old brown fly covered banana peel. To the hundreds of thousands of women currently in the worldwide human trafficking, our prayers are with you. Only through women standing up for women, mothers teaching their sons the grace of respect for women AND holding their sons accountable for their actions as they grow vs spoiling will men have the strength to be stronger, human men vs chimpanzees.

Is it ironic when it's the meaning of the movie? That EVERY single man that said they'd keep a woman safe, failed?
