- DeSite SLG 78VF-5 Topsoil Screener introduced in 2017. The screen deck is 80" x 52". It comes with a 3600 RPM Vibratory Pack, Cantilevered Screen Deck Suspension and an optional removable riser box.
It is designed for skidsteers, compact wheel loaders, and compact to mid-sized excavators.
The screener handles both wet and dry material. There are a variety of available meshes in different sizes. The final product ranges from large to small depending on the mesh.
This video demonstrates how to use a soil screener. Mixed material is dumped from the bucket at the top of the screener. Material hits the vibrating mesh and starts to separate into various sizes. Larger sized material continues down the screen while smaller material falls through the screen to the collection area.
The optional riser box raises the height of the screener. More final material can collected in one go when a riser box is used.
Two machines can be placed side by side and will produce up to 4 final products when different size meshes are used.
This screening machine will turn waste into profit. It will produce between 15 and 30 yards per hour.
The end of the video shows the high quality of the final product. The end of the video also demonstrates feeding the screener with a mid size excavator.
The screener will produce final product such as compost, loam, topsoil, sand, rock and more depending on the starting product. Screening debris, such as concrete, from construction sites is no problem for this tough dependable screener. - Наука та технологія
Just got mine a few weeks ago. Its an awesome machine. My dirt pile has large rocks that caused me some concern but the 78VF screen is very heavy duty and the large rocks slide right off. Even wet dirt like mine will screen nicely as long as the machine is set up properly.
What do you mean set up properly ?
What is the smallest mesh that is practical for a machine of this type? Thanks.
I like mine but it didn't come with instructions on how to tilt it....
I have had my screener from them for less than one year and it kept shaking itself apart and breaking bolts off of the electric motor and the company refused to send New parts for free!
I am interested in purchasing this machine. But Im not going to spend that kind of money without renting one first. Is there any one near pittsburgh PA that will rent me one for a week?
will it screen out grasses and weeds to making clean top soil
Yes it will separate the grass and weeds from your soil. SLG screeners have the ability to bring the deck slope up to 45 degrees for screening soils with grass, sod, and weeds. You will get more cross transfer when the deck is steep but the upside benifit is that an SLG screener is still working when others are waiting for better weather.
Remember that the screen deck also can tilt back to 30 degrees when screen sand , rock and dry soils.
brad i am in montana u,s,a is there a dealer close to me and can you use the unit with in tandem with Conveyor , like to rent or lease before buying as we do with any tipe of unit to make sure it is in full what we need and the company we deal with is to who we like to work with
we use old farm grain Conveyors to move dirt and gravel they are cheep parts easy to come by and ready to buy and easy to move behind any pick up truck
