Theres definitely more of these to come I think. As for the hauls, I'm not so sure since I have to turn around my purchases more quickly these days so they don't get a chance to accumulate.
The customs invoice bit is interesting I have shipped to a few places recently that’s needed this but put the invoice In the parcel. I know a few have got there so far but it may be best to put on the outside like you are. I always have concerns with anything I ship out if If the UK, but so far all has been ok!
I've always traditionally shipped international orders with the invoice INSIDE the parcel. What I showed was only for EU due to the new changes which came into effect on 1st July. Where the customer must pay VAT on the items sold and you must include an IOSS number (from Bricklink or Brickowl). TBH - there is no clear right or wrong at the moment with all the customs changes so this is something of a safety measure.
Great vlog mate. I really need to put in some hours into the store, my main thing is keeping prices updated. And nice trolley, we have used that same one for quite awhile now, very useful!
@@BrickArena it looked great.i must investigate postage more..ie .I do each order on click and drop..takes ages if I have a few...I need to use that api.nit sure how yet..and for brickowl.nice work keith..
Sometimes when I part out unopened new sets there are parts with 'slight' scratches or 'slight' marks on them(mainly bricks like the 2 × 2, 2 x 3, 2 x 4 bricks etc etc) It is really annoying :-/ And I get nervous selling them on BrickLink just incase someone doesn't like it(I wouldn't send out really bad scratched parts tho even if they are new) Anyway excellent interesting video ;)
I've encountered a similar scenario with eBay sending me a message telling me they have proactively turned on the Best Offer feature on some of my listings. Very annoying when you have items you are set on a firm price for. Thankfully I've not been caught out like you and been able to go in and turn off the offers again each time
Great vlog, thanks for sharing! How do you sync eBay, BrickLink and brickowl? I have a brickowl and BrickLink store and sync them but not sure how to sync them eBay as I want to sell mini figures on eBay as well and my other two platforms, thanks.
Its not something I plan for myself though I could definitely see it could get to that if you wanted to. My plan is to keep it contained to my home and lifestyle, as long as it brings in what I need it to. Then I plan to sell up in a few years and retire properly.
Hi great VLOG style video. Love to see more of these. Also I like your trolley idea. Hope you can save time with picking orders. Did you end up shipping the item for what it was sold for or did eBay refund you for the difference?
Thanks! I will be doing more of these. I ended up sending the chat transcript to the customer and they paid the difference, but they weren't happy, although they understood it was not my fault. Never heard anything from eBay about it.
Great look into the business. I would think a 4 drawer filing cabinet with hangers and manila folders would work better to store books, sticker sheets, and flat packed boxes. I’m almost certain you can get them for cheep at an office liquidation too. I think once you fill up the space, you will need to build racks with rollers so you can have shelves behind the shelves and still get to them. I was looking at using hanging rollers to attach all my shelves to, so I could optimize the space.
A filing cabinet could work but I don't have the space unfortunately. Shelves on rollers ( like sliding wardrobes) is a fun idea and may save some space but will slow the picking process if your constantly having to slide cabinets to get to the ones behind.
@@BrickArena Yeah that is definitely a drawback. The hope is the most active parts are already organized near each other and the inactive parts are further away. This way if you need to stack rolling shelves you can cover an inactive section and still be able to pick quickly with the rare occasion that you need to move the shelves. The other way large business pick is multiple orders by section, so if you are having to move cabinets you are not doing it multiple times an order at a time, you are doing it once per multiple orders. Optimizing picking process for businesses is a large business in itself. Determining which order to bundle with another, so that picking is quick takes a good understanding of both the product and the orders coming in. Some of the small parts pickers are the most amazing machines built where they are picking resisters or other small electronic parts by automation. That would be fun... Billions of parts, automation, and only having to verify the picked parts at the end.
Nice insight into your business, just wondering after following your channel since the start and the fact that your reselling parts rather than collecting/ selling boxed sets now, how as your buying habits changed, do you still wait for reductions and clear the shelves or rather buy at list price if the part out value is acceptable?
Thanks for the comment - Now that I'm not collecting I am less desperate to chase the offers so actually don't monitor as closely as I used to. Ultimately, part out value is the critical factor so whether a set is at full RRP or reduced is less important as long as the ratio is good I may buy. But I do take other factors into consideration i.e. what minifigures are included, are the parts in good colours etc.
Oops! just notice a problem with the video at around 06:26 where I talk about Royal Mail click and drop. Apologies, but am unable to fix this.
Nice lil' trolley you got there. Sincerely, Huge basement owning American! 😉
haha - thanks Ralph 😂
Great vid, really gives on insight into how a bricklink store operates.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
I'm a simple man, when brick arena drops a vid I watch! Thx for the content!
haha - Thanks for watching
Thanks for taking the time to share your process
Nice work on the video, and a really cool shop!
Thank you very much!
Great video! Would love to see more of these. My favourite type of LEGO content.
And more hauls!!!

Enjoyed the video. Looking forward to future VLOGs.
Thanks! more coming soon

Thing is Brad, I have never seen such a message from eBay. Could potentially have gone to spam I suppose

You can sync to eBay that I know of (but would love if someone can prove me wrong). You must manage it separately.
Good video Brick Arena. Genuine question, do you ever see yourself getting so busy you would have to employ someone to keep up with demand?

Great VLOG! Quick question what label printer do you use? 🤔
Thanks! - Its a Zebra GK420d
