    120 GRAM GRIP: A 120 gram grip increases club head speed. When weight is added to the butt of the club, the center of gravity of the club moves closer to the hands.
    Would you rather hit an object with a roll of quarters in your hand or with your bare hand? Obviously, with a roll of quarters. The quarters do not slow down your hand and the increased mass (inertia) resist any change in velocity.
    If you add the correct amount of weight in the grip, you will find that you have a better feel with the club (more total weight) and that the club is easier to swing. The scientific reason is that you are reducing the Radius of Gyration (K). The ROG is defined as the distance from the axis that a point mass 'M' must be placed if the mass is to have the same 'I' (Moment of Inertia) as the actual body does.
    * K = Square root of I/M
    As can be seen from the equation, the larger the 'M', the closer the ROG gets to the axis of rotation (your hands).
    What this means for a golf club, is that the balance point moves from the head toward the grip. When (K) is optimized, you obtain the greatest club head speed along with the best feel. The additional mass in the grip drives the hands through impact.
    Jack experimented for 3 years with grips weighting between 68 and 125 grams. The optimum weight is 120 grams. If the grip is heavier, you lose club head feel. If the grip is lighter, the head feels heavy. Science can predict, but it took thousands of golfer’s feedback to determine the optimum grip weight.
    The GRIP is 12 inches long; 1.2 inches at the butt and 0.9 inches at the tip. The taper is very large also. This makes it much easier to hold on to the grip - especially with a 10-finger grip. You don't have to squeeze to hold on to the GRIP. The GRIPS are optimum for every golfer -- don't fall for the ridiculous myth that fat grips cause a slice.
    One set price for everyone to keep the cost as low as possible:
    $12.00 each + $15.00 S&H (priority mail - medium flat rate box)

    Great video clip and scientific explanation of important club "physics!"
    What do you think of the Jumbomax brand grips that have been on the market for a long time? Moe' s clubs seem to have a "long" grip wound with leather. Did he stumble on the "ideal" material and weight for his grips? Cub weight totals?/ Thanks, Jack!!

      What do you think of the Jumbomax brand grips that have been on the market for a long time?
      JK: Jumbomax are light and around 10" long. They also cost the most. They are USEABLE, but, NEVER OPTIMUM!
      Moe' s clubs seem to have a "long" grip wound with leather. Did he stumble on the "ideal" material and weight for his grips?
      JK: Moe used wide leather strips that he wound around his clubs; around 14" long. He would not have given a thought about the weight. He just knew how he wanted the grip to fill in his hands. With a grip in the lifeline of his right hand, it had to larger in order to not twist during the stroke.
      Club weight totals?
      JK: Moe like to play with a very heavy head feel; E3. In my Fireside Chat, Moe explains why in our "carpenter" conversation.
      / Thanks, Jack!!
