I have always been found of this band I discovered in the late 70's...Saw them twice : in Toulouse in 87 and in London in 88 for a Damned Reunion at The Town And Country Club. Brian James and some others previous members were there as well, playing with the regular band at that time...
I saw this band decades ago at Durham University where Rat wasn't happy as somebody had taken a bottle from his rider. The Straps supported. What a great night and again around the same time at a big club in Middlesbrough. Anti Nowhere League support. I just saw The League and Damned came on and a lad called Scrubber attacked a friend who I had to carry out by fireman's lift so didn't see The Damned that night. But seen them many a time, never disappointed. And on this they're superb but after all these years if you can't be great......
Yep mate your right. Durham was my first Damned live show. They encored with Pretty Vacant with Rat on guitar and Sensible on drums. It was 8 Dec 1980. The night John Lennon was shot. I was there at the Boro one too. It was at Gaskins on Linthorpe Rd. Anti Nowhere League caused a bit of a riot. A lot of fighting that night. Good times.
This recording sounds fantastic! I love this band!!! Why the different drummer, anyone any ideas? I've seen them many times, and just recently at my hometown in Southend On Sea ...and sounded bloody great!!
@@gmantramp404 I remember when the punk police first showed up. The guys who made the rules like you couldn't have a keyboard player and stuff like that. Good to know you're still around to tell bands what they can and can not do.
Best Sound ever
Oh wow!!!!! Just found this. ❤❤❤ They all sound absolutely fantastic. David Vanian is on fire here....wonderful voice!!!
Damn! Captain Sensible has been really woodshedding over the years. Ace guitarist.
Belle captation sonore !!!

They are getting older and more into blues....that sounds rather perfect for me.....Long live The Damned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CAPT is a fan of the woodstock era rock old pink Floyd ECT. YEH that blues rock sound is creeping in. Hendrix who. Jimi sensible.
That's good news. The old line up back together.
What a bunch of stiffs. The crowd I mean.

Why no Pinch? This guy's alright but he's hittin a little light.
@@4578a I think he's doing a great job. He's a player. Rat had a similar light side.
Mr.Vaniam would you please do an Elvis cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J'adore les Damned mais le point faible c'est Dave Vanian ( à comparer avec joe Strummer ou Johnny Rotten)
yep best cabaret act from machine gun Etiquette right up to the present day. By the way Vanian: lose the vocals on this song Awful
If ya don't like it...............Fuck off!
@@Min-xm8tp too right .
