    I just tried this recipe today and I’m a rookie in making huli/saaru. This came out so awesome. So thankful to you both for all your recipes that reminds me of my Amma’s cooking.

    I did this sambar today ellru ista ಪಟ್ಟು thindru, same dharmastala sambar ತರ ಇದೆ ಅಂತ ನಾನ್ ಮಗ heldha, thnk u madam,,,, ಹಾಂ ನಾನು ಇದರ ಜೊತೆ ಬ್ರೌನ್ ರೈಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆ ಬಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಅನ್ನ n ಈ sambhar ಸೂಪರ್ aggithu

    We make it just like this but we don't add chakke, lavanga or such garam masala spices.

      this is used to be special wedding menu which goes well with majjige huLi. We do regular sambar as well without chakke and lavanga.

    Hello Madam, Sambar tumba chennagide. can we prepare Mixed Veg Kootu with the same sambar powder. What are the ingredients for kootu powder.

      +Divya Raghuram you can make the sambar with this powder witht he vegetables like ... cabbage, ridge gourd/heerekaayi .fo rkootu we don't add cinnamon

      yes you can, don't use vegetable like carrot, potato or starchy ones

      If sambar powder has chakke , you can use it.Only thing is you have to roast little kottambari bija and grind it along with coconut.

    If you add 1/4 tsp Menthya tastes good. I made this a while ago.Mmy mother used to add Menthya.
