Having spent days myself trying to photograph kingfishers, I feel your pain 😂 that feeling when you get the shot though 👌🏻 and what a great shot you got 💥
I literally have tears in my eyes, I just looked at all the nature photos on your website and I think I've never ever seen photos of animals that are as good as yours. An trust me, I've seen lots and lots of wildlife photos... I love your compositions and the moments you capture, as well as your style of editing. Be proud of yourself, you are a great artist!
Amazing work Olle! The amount of patience is so fun to see! So happy you got your shot and it looks totally stunning! Can’t wait for more of your fantastic videos!
You have lots of patience, spending hours after hours to get that good shot, and you nailed it. Good work! Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience.
Literally speechless, great video and amazing photos. It's awesome to see how you visualised in your head the composition you would like to capture and then just stuck around and got it! So good!
I wanted several times to skip the video just to see the result but I convinced myself to be patient and watch the video. and it s amazing ! the nature the environment ..... you are lucky to be surrounded with such beauty !
I really enjoy watching your videos. They distract me from city life. I find it so amazing how much love you put into your videos. Above all, your patience is remarkable. I would have given up after several hours of waiting.
I’m so glad to hear that🙏🏻 Patience is a big ingredient in wildlife photography. My patience is often better on days when I know there’s a chance of getting a shot. Sometimes I can’t wait for 2 hours before I get bored 😂
I've just stumbled across this. How amazing is this video. Your determination to get my fav birds I've yet to see myself. Apparently, they are active between April and August time, so I'm waiting for then especially when the weather warms up. We'll done
Days and days of documenting the animal is all part of the final very very satisfying feeling of getting the clip or the picture of these beautiful birds know the feeling of disappointment and effort believe me
Lovely birds that kingfisher! Great the gray heron that sat there too! You are lucky in Sweden that has a lot of animals we do not have in Norway! One bird I think is stylish that you have is Western jackdaw or Kaie! A large part of my family lives in Karlshamn. Wish you a nice weekend!
I love these type of videos so much, it rly shows the true side of nature, and learns to not give up untill you get it. Pluss im sure he flew to you cuz he wanted to say thanks for picking up the redbull from the gorund hahah.
Little late to the video, but insane journey and fantastic photos. Lot of times I come home with ehh stuff but trips like these make those dull moments worthwhile
Hello Olle, good job and good pictures. As I always say, never give up, because you'll never know when it'll come your subject. Our best weapon in the patience 😉 Ciao!!
Man I dont know if I would have that kind of patience to go through all that to get a shot although in the end, you got an amazing shot. I would frame that and put it in my house somewhere. At first I thought your photos were captured just by chance, like you happen to see a nice bird and boom, took the photo. But actually it took so much work! Congrats
The Kingfisher's call is fairly monotone, but it's so very pure and sweet to the ear. A lovely sounding little bird. You got some fantastic shots there. Great video and production, thank you 👍
Hey Olle, great work, i appreciate that you are sharing the long way to. Hope to see more like this. It feels quiet good to know others won't get the shot first time and i am not alone :D Keep going. Frankie
Try it the opposite way: 1. day set up hide on a place kf flies by. Get them a day used to it. Drop a can of corn into the water as bait for thar tiny fishes kf likes so much. Hide remains there over night. 2. day set up new perch above the “corn place”. Check for the fishes. Shoot kf.
I absolutely feel you regarding the littering. Who the hell decides to go out in nature/hiking trail (they must obviously do it because they appreciate nature) and then empty their trash where it will take thousands of years to decompose 😢.
Lovely photos ollie. Well worth the time spent researching and planning. The image has a look and feel I quite like but can’t replicate in lightroom. How did you achieve it?
Thanks Richard! I edit my photos i Photoshop, usually making the image as flat as possible, then locally adding shadows and highlights with Dodge and burn!
Hey man, great video an especially great images you got there. Quick question: Where did you get this camo netting you used in day three? Looks really nice and seems to have great working camouflage right?
Enjoyed the video Olle, I am a Kingfisher Virgin! going to buy a camo torp sheet. I am lucky to have a river right near my home. I have a bro in Upplands V. btw. keep up the good work! bra tack!

Thank you!
Get paid from it or just to do it for hobby?

Love that dedication of yours ✨
Patience and dedication! Great shots 👏🏻
Wow that's amesihk😍👌👍🌄🌅🏞😎🖒
You have to set the sticks where the fish is resting or feeding. Where the river is slower, the bird knows where the fish will be catchable.
Finally Perfect shots😃😍😍😍
Grymt bra jobbat, härligt att se att du blev belönad. Otroligt fina bilder av den fiskaren.
Tack så mycket!🙏🏻
