HOW TO CREATE AN AESTHETIC BRUNCH! (budget friendly)

If you didn't already know, I love to brunch! I love to go to brunch and host brunch. I even have a bookclub called Books, Brunch and Babes where we read and BRUNCH! As a result of being deemed the unofficial "Brunch Queen," a lot of you guys have requested a video on how I host my personal brunches at home and make them "aesthetically pleasing."
In today's video, I'm going to take you step by step on not only how I set up my brunches but how I plan for them and stay budget friendly.
𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂 𝐁𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇 (𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭):
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏: 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞
- Your party size determines your budget on how much you will be spending on food and drinks.
𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏: Keep your party size small (10 and under is perfect), especially if you're a beginner host. Keeping your party size small helps you save money on food and drinks. It also helps create less stress on you. Time moves FAST when you're hosting!
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝
- Food is one of the most important things when it comes to brunch, obviously (other than the alcohol). Keep it simple. If you're on a budget or you simply do not know how to cook well, stick with the basics.
The basics are eggs, bacon and potatoes. You also want to add either a french toast, waffle or pancake. For bonus, danishes or muffins are always nice treat!
𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏: You want your food to look pleasing!
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬
- You always want to have some water, juice and/or coffee available. You especially want orange juice or another drink of choice to create your mimosas.
- For mimosas, choose a dry or semi-dry sparkling wine. A Spanish Cava or Italian Prosecco are great choice too. They’re about $12-15 a bottle.
𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏: For every 750 ml bottle of sparkling wine, plan on getting 6-8 mimosas.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟒: 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐔𝐩
- Pinterest and Instagram are your new best friends! Use them to create a "mood board" to visually help capture the brunch vibe that you're seeking before getting started.
- Use things that you already have in your home, saves you money on decor!
- Shop at budget friendly places like T.J. Maxx, Homegoods, Amazon, etc.
𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏: When shopping for items, buy SMART. Purchase items that you can consistently use over again for parties and hosting.
**𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐄 𝐅𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎:**
I personally love using these plastic champagne flutes. You can either toss them (recyclable) or wash them to reuse! They are just convenient and easy, plus you don't have to worry about someone breaking a glass. I save my glasses for special occasions.
