you see, unlike most of these poor followers ive only discovered your MR2 project tonight so ive had the pleasure of binge watching all the episodes in one evening while some poor buggers here have waited 3 years! keep it up! im also planning on getting an MR2 and watching you do a lot of what i plan (and need) to do makes it much easier to understand
Great to have you onboard! We’re trying to be a bit more regular with our videos, although there’s been a bit of a delay as we’ve been waiting for parts from Japan
That noise is not your power steering pump, the only one that car isn’t electric. What you are hearing is your electronic fuel pump priming the engine for a start. It will run until it’s at the correct pressure it ran for so long because your tank was empty which is why your light came in while it was in the middle of trying to prime.
Definitely the power steering pump. MR2s have an electric pump up front as the engine is behind you, so running it off a belt would have been impractical.
@@EnginesandUnfinishedBusiness I did realize that after commenting. :) I was thinking of every Toyota engine from that era and didn’t think about the mr2 engine being different.
Other than jumping out of my skin twice, with the explosion and then when Sophie jumped, I loved this vid as much as all the others. Which is a lot. You need your own tv programme. What’s the name of the new presenter and is that a new sofa 🛋?
He didn’t get a name, we didn’t want to get too attached, would have made it too hard to take him apart again. Same old sofa, just a slightly different angle 😊
Satisfying edit of the HT leads!
Agreed, nicely done.
Thanks, they do make a good noise 😊

I wish I could "do those by hands like a peasant" like you do :D
magic finger!
Its all in the wrist
Clearly a magical peasant
Editing and special f/x game ON POINT! Keep it up!
Great job Matt, nice to see Misty alive again!
Thanks! It’s been a long time coming, but such a relief to know she runs
It runs! Whoop Whoop! 🙌🏻
Congratulations on it running!
Scared the crap out of me too!!!! Loved it!!!
I done the exact same thing with my MR2. Never again!
Don't think a Toyota has ever not started.
Welcome back!!!
Love the 1st start edit
Thanks, it’s great to be back and finally making some progress

It's the electric steering pump.. mine does it too. Fuel pump will only run for a few seconds if not started.

I always love popping a 95 one.
So funny at first turnover 😂
Glad you enjoyed it, it took a lot of editing
hahaha i guess you guys have a bigger budget for special effects now
Indeed we do, our fx budget used to be £0, and now we have double that
Also congrats! That must have been very satisfying! Did I miss the start-dance?
Very satisfying indeed, forgot to do a dance though, too busy checking for fuel leaks 😬
you need to teach us that trick for doing bolts up by hand, I tried it and rotated the entire car onto its roof :(

3:11 that's pretty generous, you could just be lazy 😅
Yeah, that’s much more likely to be honest 😂
