Nice one. Absolutely no need to move to Cha Am. Just visiting the place because you and her both already a own house in ppk. Greeting from Lake Tahoe.
Our favorite town! Cha Am was where we would have called home if Paul had chosen Thailand as our new home. Makes my heart happy to see it again. Paul and I got messages in the same place Gift and Paige and friend got their foot messages. It was Paul’s first professional message and we did a 90 minutes one upstairs. It was amazing!
You always have fun travelling with your friends. What a nice bunch. Haven't heard you once complain about your foot. Happy 2022.🎆🍻

Great trip and a good time with friend’s, Gift has a great sense of humour. The Lace Monitor, we call them Goanna’s in Australia, Lace Monitor’s produce a small amount of venom similar to rattlesnake venom, to subdue their prey, so if you get a bite it’s going to be quite painful and you will need to go to the hospital so you don’t get and infection. Amazing Lizards though, I’m love Gekko’s though and have loads of Striped Skinks and Stumpy tail Lizards at my place in the bush, but no Goanna’s though, also bearded dragons.
Joe Gift yes it’s quite difficult thinking of someway to settle in Thailand We have a baby boy Louis we or 20 min south of hua hin Best of all worlds happy new year to both of you and prosperous one stay safe just Freddy and the family

I enjoyed watching this vlog from San Francisco Gift & Joe!!! Wish we were there right now!!! We have planned on going to Thailand for about 4weeks in February 2022 but feel so uncertain right now; especially with omicron 😱 My husband and I haven’t booked a flight yet; however, we’re just waiting for January 4th to see what the Thai government has to say then!!! Hey Thai Girl Gift and Foreigner Joe, I have not seen this part of Cha-Am. I will have to make an effort to see it on my next visit there. I almost moved to Cha-Am because it is more laid back than the normal tourist areas. If I understand correctly it is more of a Thai destination not the normal tourist destination.
Haven't been there for a couple of years and if my plans don't work out with Pewly I will probably end up in that area instead.
I always have to chuckle when I see Gift do her little dance at the end. She is so lively and makes me want to dance along. Lol

If you ever end up in Lumpini Park in Bangkok … the giant lizards are everywhere. If you rent a canoe … they will swim by … if you are taking a nap under a tree, you need to be aware of their presence. The public doesn’t seem to be afraid of them. I’ve seen people pull them by their tails to remove them from roadways or where people are doing group exercises.

Cha Am. I've got a lot of mixed emotions about that place. My memories are from a childhood where we visited that idyllic and semi-secluded beach staying at one of the beach homes each weekend. Then fast forward almost three decades to 1997. My aunt had a driver take us back there. Once in town, we took a couple turns and then my aunt announced "We're here. Do you remember anything?" Uh, what??? One side of the road was lined with shops and small hotels while the beach side was covered with big umbrellas 7 or 8 rows deep!
Ah well, all things change I guess.

I was considering Cha Am as well, but ended up in a town directly opposite on the other side of the Gulf, but I did live in Hua Hin for a year.

I haven't been to either Cha Am or Prachuap but I'd love you to tell me how Prachuap won out for choice to live, Joe. I vacillate between the 2 and Hua Hin in-between.
We visited here 4 times and just fell in love with the area (mountain, sea and the laid-back lifestyle). Guess you can say, we felt the vibe.

Hi Joe, I think you made the right choice of living in PKK rather than Cha am. My Thai partner is from Muang PKK (Klong Wan village) and until the onset of Covid, we visited PKK regularly, with my first visit being back in 2008. I'm intrigued as to how you came to select PKK given that your partner Gift is not from there. Apologies if you have explained this previously on your channel.
We traveled both northern and southern Thailand. After discovering PKK when traveling with friends, we returned several times and decided that PKK is where we wanted to make our home.
