This is why zerg supply is measured by "control". Remember in the protoss campaign? After the destruction of the overmind, many zerg had gone rogue, roaming mindlessly over Aiur, because there was nothing able to control them. So yeah, there is a brain and the units and buildings are like the limbs and organs respectively of the zerg organism
It's arguable that Zerg units are little more than extensions of a unified hive mind, in which case they effectively function as limbs or extremities of a single organism. They're not being "forced" to do anything any more than you moving your hand is "forcing" the hand to behave that way.
oh yeah there was that match in that very same map where we saw a perfect surround by hydras just like in the game cutscenes and it wiped a whole mech army
No its not too much BW content, keep the videos coming, I fall asleep to this channel almost nightly, Im cheating today and watching the episode early at work.
Kerrigan was a Ghost thus Psy was a main part of her pallet. The Zerg infest terrans with a parasite. The Overmind controlled it's minions through Psy. Thus paving the way to the Hybrids after the destruction of the Overmind and the birth and rebirth of the Queen of Blades (HoTS campaign) She tought the Zerg Psy and providid them with queens and enough independance to be even more agressive thus paving the way for the rebirth of Amon and the Protoss campaign. Prety much the whole Zerg lore history in a short post ;)
We've seen Hydra/Queen combos have great effectiveness against Terran from time to time. I didn't think the Hydra/Muta play from Jaedong was so bad. It's hard to say what he could have done in his position. Maybe have a couple of sunkens and try for a 5th instead of that all-in attack. The spider mines, while not doing any damage directly, slowed the Hydras down to the point they were taking unnecessary tank damage.
What's up with some of your videos having random video quality drop to 240p or lower? Something with upload issues? Sorry if already answered since this has been in videos from past weeks too.
This is completely nerd theory that has nothing to do with in game lore. Call me a nerd but intelligence and consciousness isn't in conflict with a hive mind at all. It is willpower that needs to be the factor that is controlled. I imagine that the part of the nervous system that interfaces with psychic control would be base impulses and desires similar to eating/reproduction/migration ect. I would imagine the zerg evolved to have nervous systems that induces impulses that are irresistible to the zerg unit. So long as there are no hivemind impulses, or the hive mind impulses are being satisfied, the unit would still be free to think and act. It would be necessary for creatures that are to hunt and kill to have inbuilt intelligence. In regards to this in built intelligence, imagine in sc2 your marines would automatically split at the sight of banelings. Well in sc2 you are like a hive mind to your terran army and it would be a huge offload of your energy and effort if units all had a baseline of intelligent action... like splitting as opposed to standing still in a group... this is an argument for zerg units having conscious problem solving brains and spare the hivemind the need to micro. In other words I believe zerg units have a high degree of autonomy and consciousness, they simply have nervous systems plugged into a science fiction wifi controller that hijacks their chemistry to have them have irresistible urges. In humans with out of control impulses, their consciousness rarely puts up much of a ration fight against their impulse, it is usually the opposite where the conscience mind rationalizes and their impulses. Now imagine a species where this wasn't a bug, but a highly tuned and evolved feature. Edit i rattled this out at work pretty fast sorry for typos and sloppy phrasing.
Terry our beloved overlord has no self awareness...zerg units in the story of starcraft can never function without complete mind control from cerebrates...should a cerebrate die, the zerg units controlled by this cerebrate become completely unstable...they may attack each other or even self destruct...zerg units are really just the extension, however great or small, of a cerebrates consciousness So terry never curses at us ...it is his controlling cerebrate that goes on profanity laced rants from taking too long to find the enemy...better watch out, falcon...cerebrates are pretty big players in the zerg race and would undoubtedly despise accusations of incompetence from any human being
I love how terry makes an appearance in every zerg game. hes so dedicated to the schedule. i wish he was my dad
Terry is like Izsha in SC2 campaign.

Falcon Paladin is the man. The laws of physics always bend the rules for Falcon Paladin.

What a nice and simple play bu Terran player, good job.

14:00 You should watch "Willy's Wonderland" it's basically Five Nights at Freddy's if Nicholas Cage was the protagonist
Nice analogy lmao

@@hkl2007 Thats cool :)
Hotube maybe short for Jaeho (his real name) UA-cam
This game proves that Terrans are unstoppable if they are able to amount and keep the critical mass of prepared units.
it’s never too much Brood War content

Im such a Jaedong fanboy and im not ashamed of it
My almostn3 year old daughter got a bike and she learned to pedal in an hour!
Wow, super impressive! :)
Hi Falcon Paladin! I'm watching this stream and eating lamb while you are dying to Malenia!
Such a satisfying thing to see zerg lose. The win so often that it makes me root for the other races. The dark swarm lurker combo is too op!

Yeah, this is a month old, so it was processed before I figured out what the problem was and fixed it. Sorry.
