For the Spirits Having Flown Tour they had their own plane with a custom paint job. On the tail were the faces of the three brothers. As big and hot as they were it may surprise some to know when they toured they took their families with them. Their parents, wives, kids, they all went and I think that says a lot about them. They were just amazing.
Love your reactions! I was at this Spirits Having Flown tour concert in1979 at Madison Square Garden... it was electric and unforgettable. Bee gees will never be surpassed in talent.
This is at a time when music 🎶 was authentic, no auto tune etc . This was in 1979. Barry Gibb being at the forefront gave his all for his fans . There will never be another sibling singing trio as good as the Bee Gees. We have the Jonas Brothers but there is no comparison.
Barry's voice was so strong and clear. Was always amazed that he delivered such powerful vocals while playing rhythm guitar. Each one was so talented and together they were fantastic!
This ain’t disco, this ain’t Pop this is Rock!!!! Love this song makes me want to dance again!!! I think this was about 78 maybe.?. These guys are always so versatile, Greatest Group ever Greatest Song Writers ever & Greatest Vocalists ever. Fan 4 Ever! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They were the hottest group on the planet during this 1979 tour. This US tour followed Saturday Night Fever and Spirits Having Flown - two consecutive number albums containing 6 number one singles. It's a crime that there is no official release of this concert. Check out "Words" from this concert. It's magical.
I was 17 during this tour. It was my 1st concert. I actually got to see them first at Richfield Colliseum, then a month later in Pittsburgh! What an amazing experience!!
I'm a diehard fan!! These guys were perfection!! Yhey were superb songwriters as well. Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Barbara Striesand, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, just to name a few! I listen to these guys everyday! I'm 57 so I was right in the thick of these guys and little brother Andy Gibb. In this particular concert Andy joins them when they sing You Should Be Dancing! I would give ANYTHING to go back in time and be at this concert! The crowd was absolutely insane and they let the Bee Gees know how much we loved them! Then and now. R.I.P ANDY, MAURICE AND ROBIN💔💔💔 and carry on SIR BARRY! Your first release without your brothers is astounding! I'm sure they approve! For anyone looking for Barry Gibbs 1st cd it is called Green Fields volume 1 and it is on UA-cam!!! Bee Gees forever baby!!!
You asked & i havent read everyone's comments yet. But this song was from the Main Course album released in 1975. But if this is the concert from the Spirits have flown tour, then this performance is late 70s. This song was written before the disco Night Fever album! A lot of your reaction videos I listen to twice for the music mostly. But love your reactions as well my friend! I had this album and LOVE THIS SONG! LOL! ❤❤❤
Listen I am in my 6th decade and one thing I know Bee Gee fans span a vast area of music as the BG's did. Go to other groups most of us will probably have liked them too. After all the BG's spanned Rhythm and Blues, Harmony, Country, Soul, Disco and Soft rock. We loved them all the way!
Late 70s...coinciding with the release of the great album Spirits Having Flown. The most versatile group I've ever known. Jive Talkin from 1975 is so funky. Also funny moments of the Bee Gees (3 parts) is a hoot too! It was said if they couldn't sing they would have made great comedians!
This particular song you can really hear Barry's range. And not too mention as a group they were at their best and each sounding amazing.... NONE BETTER THAN THE NEE GEES.
All music is good in its own way, it is just as die hard Bee Gee fans it is hard to believe there are others to listen to, but some of us have been die hard fans since the 60 and we are so old now we can not change. We just love The Brothers All, even though we all have our favorite💔💔❤️💔💔❤️
I really like this song and it mostly because of the lyrics. The verse: "Don't You Understand What I Am Saying We Need A Guy (god) Down Here A Man To Lead Us Children Take Us From the Valley Of Fear" Really Stands out in this song. I am not religious in any way but this verse has a religious vibe to it as, when you take this into considoration, has the whole song.
I would love to hear your reaction to another Bee Gees song, "Rest Your Love on Me". It's quite different for the Bee Gees. It is country. COUNTRY! FROM THE BEE GEES! But it is a beautiful sings and is one of my favorites! I think you would love it.
Hello Sandra, and thanks for your suggestion. Good news! I've reacted to this gem! Click on my channel link below: ua-cam.com/users/ChadLSummers-hereonthe3L
Good reaction! 🙂 I am glad you liked this song! You are actually quite right about this song. It was released on the Main Course album in 1975 which sort of was before the disco/falsetto era. However, this performance is from the Spirits tour in 1979 at the hight of the disco/falsetto era. I think you are the first one to react to this song. Usually the reactors react to the 15-20 most famous songs. Still there are so many other gems liks this one 🙂
They all were so beautiful sound wise and look wise. In this video they sound and look fantastic. I simply can’t get enough of these guys. I listen to them every day when I take my little dog Thor on a walk. I listen to my Spotify BeeGees or your reactions.
It was the spring/summer of 1979. I saw that tour Denver CO July 2, 1979. This version was filmed during that tour and was part of a tv special that aired the November following the tour. Sadly, I've never heard a recording, appearance, dvd, etc. that does justice to what it was to hear them live. I spent half the show with my eyes close just listening to their harmonies. When Robin sang "he don't know where he'll go wrong...there's no room for us out there" in the chorus, it rang like a crystal bell. Their harmonies on Edge of the Universe, I've just never heard anything sweeter.
Every song the BeeGees wrote and sang are EXCELLENT. What other group did this? LOVE ❤️ the BeeGees. Love watching your reaction to their songs CHAD. I can tell you really enjoy hearing their songs for the first time too. Keep bringing BeeGees songs for us to hear. So enjoy you and them. You are right they are NATURALS and PROS in their CRAFTS.
This song is one of my absolute favorites of theirs -- it's perfectly crafted in every way, but Robin's chorus always gets to me. Even in this beyond-all-levels-of-funky song, the tender beauty of his vibrato still rings an emotional chord. It just made me SO happy to read your comment and hear from someone who was actually there that Robin's voice "rang like a crystal bell."
IIRC, wind of change is on 1975’s Main Course (best Bee Gees album for me, so far), but the Spirits tour was 1979 so you were correct...mid 70s AND late 70s. Plus ‘78-‘79 fluffy Robin hair gives it away.
The Bee Gees are a pure addiction. Can't help but notice you haven't reacted to Stayin' Alive, one of their signature songs. I also suggest "If I can't have you". Keep up the great reactions. Cheers

This reaction already has time, you will have already located yourself, but I still wanted to complete the story for you. They also had a little problem with their manager, about 300,000,000 dollars 😳...these guys fought a lot since they were little. All of this is in the documentary "how can you..." from 2018. 'Spirits Having Flown' came out in 1979. This was that tour. The song was on 'Main Course' (1975). That is one of the GREAT BeeGees albums. It also had 'Jive Talkin', 'Nights on Broadway', and 'Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)!

I love this song. But I can't understand why reaction videos are only made about the live version. This version doesn't reproduce the groove and sound it actually has in the studio version. Pure magic, pure R&B...
Why don't you check out the studio version, it has some beautiful surprises. Please, listen to it, Barry does some amazing ad libs. Wind of change is excellent.
Chad, you should listen to the studio recording of this song; Barry has a little falsetto bit that I was waiting for but was missing here. If you haven't reacted to Spirits (Having Flown), you might give it a try. Also, for something different, you might enjoy the group The Moody Blues: Nights In White Satin, The Voice, I Know You're Out There Somewhere, Your Widest Dreams.... BUT avoid concert videos after 1992, because the vocals just aren't there anymore. Sorry, I can't help with UA-cam links, because I watch them on Facebook.
Hello, thanks for all the feedback. Feel free to request songs on your terms.... the links simply ensure that I get the correct videos. Thanks again for listening!

My favorite group of all time
Live people, this is live, no auto-tune rubbish, live! Amazing!!!!
For the Spirits Having Flown Tour they had their own plane with a custom paint job. On the tail were the faces of the three brothers. It was 1979...i was at that concert in Miami...spirits having flown...best concert ever!!!
I could hear a nd feel your emotion... wow such a song so much funk
Wind if change came iyt in the mid seventy’s , they were the greatest group ever , they had some great great magical tunes !

BEE GEES are The best Of The best.
Love your reactions! I was at this Spirits Having Flown tour concert in1979 at Madison Square Garden... it was electric and unforgettable. Bee gees will never be surpassed in talent.
Loved that explosion during Tradgedy. Great concert. Red Seats even with the stage a couple of rows up. Barry’s side.
I love hearing Barry sing in his deeper voice too ❤️🎶
Me too! I love it!
This is at a time when music 🎶 was authentic, no auto tune etc . This was in 1979. Barry Gibb being at the forefront gave his all for his fans . There will never be another sibling singing trio as good as the Bee Gees. We have the Jonas Brothers but there is no comparison.

One of my all time favorites. They were on this tour while back home the disco records were being destroyed.
Love this song..they were so great. Timeless... never will we hear harmonies like this
Barry's voice is just so darn good, and he looks so gorgeous and sexy while he's singing. All the Gibb Bros were super talented. Love them!❤❤❤
@@kthor Yes he sure could and he could sing with anybody😊.
They become an addiction. Be careful, mate, ha ha.
They were phenomenal their entire careers.....love catching up and hearing new things.. Barry was feeling it here!
It's a great survival song...of course they were great. They started together as little kids💙💙💙
The very best

Yes! You will see Barry’s wife, Linda, holding their oldest son, Stevie.
Barry always took his family on tour with him. I believe Mo did too.

Barry’s chest voice is amazing he is awfully charming, energetic , handsome and attractive rock star at the age of 33
I love his chest voice it is amazing and my favorite🥰🥰🥰. And though not my favorite, his falsetto is beautiful, too 🥰🥰🥰
Spirits Having Flown Tour was in 1979. North American tour started June 28, 1979 in Ft.Worth, TX and ended October 6, 1979 in Miami Beach, FL.
They are the best ever .
I was at the Homecoming concert Miami Baseball Stadium... 5th row center floor!! We slept out in downtown Miami for tickets 😂
1979!! I have a picture of my concert shirt....me wearing it.. yes the crowds were extremely loud especially when Andy came out💙💙💙💙

Late 60s for the Bee Gees too! Massachusetts, I gotta get a message to you, New York Mining Disaster, Run to me. It's like chapters in a book.
Finally! First reaction I've seen for this one.
FYI saw the Spirits Having Flown Tour at Madison Square Garden in 1979.

One of my main hits prefered ever. It`s featured in the 1975 album Main Course. RSO Records.
Please play IT DOESN'T MATTER MUCH TO ME By the Beegees. The falsetto in this song is sung by Robin.

I like the live version. However, the studio version is slower and I think more powerful.
Their songs always inspire and interject God and scripture without being direct.
Check out The Bee Gees with Andy Gibb You Should Be Dancing from this concert, the show finale, and be sure to notice Barry’s chest.
It was around 1979 I was able to see the Spirits tour when they came to nearby Cincinnati (live in Louisville, Kentucky) It was amazing
I started listening to them when I was 10. I'm 56 now. If it ain't broke....
Chad, you should listen to the studio recording of this song; Barry has a little falsetto bit that I was waiting for but was missing here.
