Wow, awesome! Your best coaster so far in my opinion. However if I had to give one critisim, it would be that the first turn after the drop looks not so smooth but otherwise flawless

Might be the best short coaster layout I’ve ever seen. These modern elements look insanely fun

T-Rex track is unfortunately much less interesting to look at than any other track type, and because of its uniformity and lack of passing ties...it hampers any visual sense of speed. Those things being said, this layout is wonderful.

Great layout and presentation! As a stand-alone coaster model, I really enjoyed this, and find myself with the itch to do one of these more-so now than before--You've got me thinking about what would realistically be the driving characteristics and features of a TREX? Here's how I felt about your answer to that question with what I could see from a few re-rides:
_The shaping features and transitions felt very on-brand for RMC. The pacing had a bit of good Mack/B&M feel to it, which makes sense for the all steel build, tall heartline and box profile. The size is about what I'd expect from them, if not an element over done, but I could also see longer custom models happening yet, too, so I don't have too strong of an opinion on that note.
My best guesstimate is a bit different, and I'm interested to see where you land on this, and if you think I'm perceiving your work differently that what was intended.
_I think a re-balancing of the taller elements vs low to ground features is what might better help define it as an RMC product. As far as drawing comparisons from other models/mfgs/designs: I think some of the attributes of many of the MK1101 vekomas would apply to the TREX; the attribute that comes to mind and it fairly universal to MK1101 a focus on closer to the ground (most cost effective) layout features, that are still appealing and exciting by their more active nature. That, blended with RMC features (and keeping a few of the key taller elements, like your first two), is how I sort of predict TREX's would work like. That Mack/B&M pacing I feel on it is actually really satisfying, almost reminiscent of a B&M hyper's air hill succession pacing, only done up with fun rolling features and normal g interruptions for variance.
Note: I don't think it was my computer, as I just checked on my phone, and I don't think its your design, but there's a couple moments throughout the ride where your roll features seem to nearly skip a frame as they start/stop. It wasn't everytime and it seemed more like a video render glitch than anything else.
Tip: A better method to initially trimming speed off the train at the end of the ride (to better match IRL) is to not use a brake zone, but just the transport within a brake zone, or just use a transport zone to better differentiate what is a permanent magnetic strip and what is a failsafe block brake. Set the speed of a transport strip the size of your FBR to 1.125mph, 0.115G Accel and somewhere between 0.3725-1.095G to properly simulate the nearly constant acceleration force of a permanent magnet trim zone. Immediately follow it up with a tiny brake zone to produce 1 or 2 physical friction pads or drive tires (whatever the model at hand would use for parking/estopping a train after magnetic brakes). A tiny section is still enough to work as a block brake as long as it isn't too near to the next section. Sorry if I'm regurgitating stuff you already know!

Thanks for all your thoughts and tips. I can understand your aspect about the re-balancing of the taller elements, but when building this creation I thought of a roller coaster that would be in a present place and that it would be the first thing you would see, which is why I wanted to create an intimidating effect. That is the why I also paid a lot of attention to the look of it.
I've already noticed the rough transitions and try to fix it in my next creations. I never really paid attention to the movement of the train while braking, but after reading your comment, it makes sense to me and I will probably use your tip in my next creations.

@@dyry7 That makes sense then. Kind of the flagship, wow-the-crowd ride. It definitely works for that--especially the wave hill loop combo element.

God could you imagine how much steel these things are going to require to make. I don't think we will EVER see them for that simple reason. I mean it's twice as much steel as a B&M track.

Not only a groovy coaster mind you, but if it EVER comes into existence for us to experience live, that soundtrack HAS TO BE INCORPORATED into it as well! 🤓
From what spirit building fountain did you find that tune?!? 🤔😳 Those sopranos aren't playing!!! 😂

The only element I liked was the 3rd; the like two zero g roll thing with the wave turn at the top. Everything else seemed somewhat mediocre to RMC’s name. The only RMC TRex I’ve ever liked is by Immelman Footers called Interlocked. He did a fantastic job at capturing the potential of what the TRex can do. Sorry...
It was smooth and a great concept but not for a TRex and RMC, a TRex can do much more. This was a Gerstlauer put onto a single rail.

    • @dyry7
      @dyry7  3 роки тому +1

I actually much more prefer the Wave-loop over the 3rd element. Its something RMC could never do with Hybrid but would do if they could. But I can understand your critism too. I think the T-Rex Coaster from Immelman Footers is better then mine for sure but for my first try I am satisfied with what I have done.
Apart from that, I can build Intamin Coaster much better than RMC Coaster anyway. ^^

Same. It's looks like Lagoon Roll but airtime instead of hangtime.
