- A two-story wooden house with a total floor space of 85.52m2 located in the suburbs of Tokyo. The modest façade with a low-height gable roof is framed by greenery, giving a sense of the warmth of home.
Entering the entrance through a small pathway on the side of the building, a series of mortar floors lead up to the living room. The couple uses this free space as a study.
Further in is the living and dining room with an open atrium. The plaster-finished walls and ceiling, which leave traces of trowel, create an ever-changing expression. The couple enjoys adding their own personal touch.
The air conditioning is provided a radiant heating and cooling system that circulates water through plastic panels installed in several locations in the room. The windless heating and cooling system is very comfortable.
The opening video (00:02 - 00:18), which captures the delicate light that seems to caress the plaster walls, was filmed by the residents themselves and was provided to us. Thank you very much!

This is a well designed home. Plenty of natural light whilst also maintaining privacy. The owner's private collections are well placed and cohesive. It all blends perfectly. Very peaceful.

コメントありがとうございます。おっしゃるように、暗→明、閉→開 といった変化を大切にした設計だと思います。玄関をやや閉じた空間にすることで、ワークスペースからLDにかけての横長窓の明るさや、LDの吹き抜けの開放感を強く感じることができ、感覚に訴えるものがあります。限られた面積・容積を効果的に使い切る秀逸な設計だと感じました
