    I bought 2 Dell server power suply from someone who didn't know what they were. The sources are slightly different from yours, output 12V 54.4A. I gave the equivalent of $4 for both. The information you present us brought these sources to life. Thank you

    Hi There. I have a Dell Hipot 7000815 PSU and your advice was on the money to make it work as a battery charger. Thank you sincerely for sharing your knowledge.
    PS. I got my psu from a scrap dealer here in South Africa for 0.97c US.

    So I have a 700watt unit that i want to use for LED strip. Nothing demanding, around 6 amps at the most.
    I put A1 B1 B6 together but fan goes into vacuum cleaner sound mode..
    If i just jump B2 and B3 will that put the fan in its lowest setting and keep it there? Which should be fine for my use...

    What's the exact type number of the power supply? Not all power supplies which have that particular connector have the same pinout.

    How increase the voltage to 13.8v on DELL NPS-700AB? Is it possible ?

    • @ObsessionoftheMonth
      @ObsessionoftheMonth  Рік тому

      some of these power supplies have a pot inside for adjusting the voltage, they do not go to 13.8v

    • @PaulDelmelle
      @PaulDelmelle Рік тому

      Yes. This one go to 12,6v with the pot . May be with the add of a resistance to the IC ?

    Pin ajust for 13v plesss

      @ObsessionoftheMonth  2 роки тому

      well if I understand what you are saying, you want settings or something like that for 13v? there is no setting for that on this model. no adjustment.
      to change the voltage you would need a schematic and find the resistor used to set the voltage and change it.
