We sailed till we saw a goblin looking thing and we decided to go full viking RP. We leapt from our boats and waded ashore, weapons gleaming in the ocean spray charging the fuling who then promptly exploded the nearest of us. Our bravado quickly turned to panic as we all fled towards our boats. We had fled but this was still salvageable. The fuling remained safely ashore so began to discuss throwing down a portal nearby so our recently deceased friend could retrieve his gear when we were interrupted by the crunch of splintering wood followed another person exploding. We had aggroed a swarm of deathquito and not only were we now dying, our ships were now crumbling. We had to turn tail and flee, cruising along the coast to try to find a place to set down to repair. In the end, of our party of 7, two made it back alive.
First time I found the plains I heard this ominous laughing sound. I noped out of there, but not before I saw this tiny little goblin chasing me. Psh, it's just a goblin I thought, if I can kill trolls this should be easy. I got one hit killed, but luckily I was in the black forest and recovered my body. Second time was when I sailed by a tiny little island with a shipwreck. I checked to make sure none of those little goblin bastards were there and I hopped out and looted the chest. As soon as I closed the chest I was surrounded and got impaled by a spear. I went back to get my ship and gear and got killed by deathsquitoes multiple times. Needless to say it took hours of tries and a whole other set of gear to get my stuff back. Didn't go back to the plains for like 100 in game days after that, and now my castle stands tall in the ruins of a goblin city. I drink my mead from the skulls of the twisted little freaks, and I make sure to slay every fuling and deathsquito that spawns. I am death, the lox rider, avenger of the fallen, lord of the plains.

@Urukosh yeah, the plains is that biome you inevitably enter like 2 or 3 biomes before you are ready to go there. This makes it feel like the scariest biome. But objectively speaking, relative to the equipment of the previous biome, the swamp is actually the hardest one.
@@Anudorini-Talah this is actually an advantage, since the swamp enemies will fight the plains enemies you can use them both to your benefit. get the deathsquitos to chase some draugr while you make your escape for example, or just leading a Fuling war party into the swamp where they scatter after leeches and skeletons
My first time dealing with plains was different. This was back when me and my friends were still playing, now it's just me... We were very cautious because of a somewhat similar experience shown in the video we had in the blackforest. Great time. So when we discovered a plains biome we didn't explore it immediately because we just entered the iron age and the swamp was a nightmare. So one time we tried to locate the trader which one of my friends randomly unlocked when exploring. The biomes on the sea in Valheim are a bit weird. You could be smag dab in the middle of the ocean and somehow it is the blackforest. In our case it was the plains. The wind direction was not fortunate so we were chilling around, unaware of the impending doom. BAM without warming a deathsquito did a driveby killing a friend and I. Before the other 4 could realise what had happened 2 more fell. The captain was trying to squirm around and escape... unfortunately without prevail. To this day 6 deathboxes rest in the middle of the ocean waiting to be recovered.
Oh I remember this moment so well, my older sister and I were playing together, our mission at the moment: get to the second boss location marked on our map and kill it. When we get there, I read the rune and quickly realize those green seeds graydwarves drop were what we neeeded, so we started searching for them, at some point during our graydwarf genocide, we notice a huge rock structure, like a pillar, we've never seen anything like it before in the black forest, we approached it to get a better look and didn't even realize it was a whole new biome, to us it looked similar to the meadows, that was until The Plains pops up and obviously got really excited about the discovery, knew nothing of it and looked chill so we take a few steps in when we notice a couple of enormous animals that we had mistaken for foliage, loxes, we standed there, just watching them from a distance, we didn't dare to test if they were friendly or not, and it was at that moment that a green little goblin like dude appeared in front of us, we didn't feel threatened at all by the small shithead, it was holding a club, so we thougth "ez kill, new loot, new recipe, nice", it then laughed and proceeded to one-shot my sister, we literally went ":O OMG" and bursted into laughing so bad, I hit him once and did little to no damage with my bronze sword, so I fled as fast as I could but the mf wouldn't stop chasing me through the black forest, destroying every graydwarf in its path, it was relentless. Such a fun gaming memory we have with my sister about this, trying to get her stuff back was a real challenge, and even got ptsd from the laughs of fullings now.
the name says it its a troll armor, its gonna troll your armor lol!! but this was the plains even with iron armor still would be one shotted by a deadskito!
I knew when you changed your mind on the workbench you were going to join the ranks of The Plains doomed ones. So this is what i find interesting. In the limited play time I have, I've found Swamp and Mountains "close" by my starts. Casual player. With decent bronze stuff ive killed leeches and draugr but not gone in. Mitts skirted some Swamp and reported a night Blob attack that massacred dwarves. Never once have i seen or heard a Wolf or Drake getting attracted to my mining or me experimenting with how bad freezing is. But set one foot in Plains while underleveled and that's a wrap.
I had a similar experience with the wolves, second day playing Valheim (still wearing rags) and came across the snowy biome. I saw a wolf running around up on the mountain and thought "ooh a wolfy! Can I take him on?", it came running down, fucking launched itself at me, one-hitting me. "ooook wolfies are bad..."
Haha nice. I had a pretty unique moment with my first wolf as well. It fell in my pit and I noticed you can be friends. But it worked out differently lol. I made a video out of it actually, its called „Wolftaming gone wrong“, if you’re interested
I've got two memorable experiences with the plains. The first one was when i discovered it for the first time. I saw two goblins sitting there with nothing but sharp sticks. I thought they wouldn't be all that hard to kill. That was until I was shown how sticks and stones can in fact break your bones. The second time was when I was in my friend's server. We were one a sea voyage and discovered the plains. The second I saw the text pop up I said "oh no! Put that shit in reverse! We got to go!" He was confused so I said "if you don't want to get flattened by a little gremlin with a prickly stick or oneshot by malaria 2.0, you got to turn that boat 180 degrees!" He didn't question it, he just got us out of there. I'm glad he did cus we were far from base.
Had the same experience after second boss on my first play through. Found some swamp biome and next to was meadows with what looked like a nice empty village. Ran in to set it up as base of operations on the edge of the swamp and that when realised I was surrounded by 4 draugr, a 2-star, 2x 1-star and normal one. The 2-star almost one shot me and a draugr I hadn't noticed in a tower finished me off with an arrow. took 5 corpse runs to get back my stuff.
Same experience for me. Stopped at the plains to explore swamps for the first time. What a mistake. I saw a mosquito and faced my shield towards it. And I got one-shot killed by a fuling I did not see XD
Story time. First time in the plains biome and had 3 friends their with me. We were sailing to find the elder summon. I had gone afk to let my dogs out, came back to us beached on the island with fulings poking our boat with spears. Friends were freaking out cause no one spotted the island and warned the guy steering. They all died from fulings and I managed to leave but a deathsquito followed me and killed me. As it turns out, the only guy who wasn't afk was muted on discord and was warning the driver of the island. Poor guy.
The fact that you saw a stone formation like the one on the left on your first time in plains makes me extremely jealous. It took me probably over 30hrs to find just ONE.
@@Madtroll1209 I'm not talking about plains, I'm talking about the stone formations that gives the location of the last boss. Crypts can be hard to find and theres plains everywhere on the world if you go far enough.
I got lucky, 2 deathsquito's aggro'd me and my son while we were merely sailing by the plains, but we were heading full speed, and managed to outpace them. Eventually the wind died down, and they started to catch up, but by some miracle the back of the boat was bouncing up and down in choppy water and squished them somehow. Thanks boat!
during bronze age i discovered mountain, the only other biome on my starting continent. wolves taught me that mountain is Not the 3rd biome. i couldn't even mine anywhere near a mountain. so i built a boat and went off to do exactly what this video shows. when i finally found a swamp i lucked out and built my portal on top of a crypt. i learned a lot about protecting yourself that day.
Me after ages of sailing, first time in the planes, sees a cool tower. Sneak up, see a goblin..... Can't be that tough I think, I've taken down a dozen trolls. Sneak attack it with the knife... does nothing, it turns around and one shots me 😑
i see you in troll armor and am thinking this is not going to be good. when you dropped the workbench i was like oh good hes at least going to put a portal down. and then you repaired the ship and broke the workbench and i was like...welp we know where this is going.
I sailed for about 20min straight to find this biome, finally spotted it but got bit by the mosquito before even reaching the coast. Sailed another 20min with my smaller barque to recover my items (iron gear) just to get popped by the same dipshit as soon as I had looted my corpse. Haven't played valheim since 😅
Similar story. I tried 5 times to get my items back from f king deathquito. The last time I was killed on my way to the place by a water "dragon" which i saw first time. The worst thing, that i was in 50 metres from the shore. So, there are 5 rafts near that place, the boat i came firstly was destroyed by "bisons". Love Valheim...
We managed to run our boat aground on an island near to the swamp, next to an underwater draugr settlement. The archers can shoot from under the water and there was plenty of slime and ghosts too. In the end we built a whole land bridge to retrieve our items.
After I first played and tried to enter the Plains wearing leather and a starter bow lol, I started finding a connecting Biome to lay siege very methodically from then on out.
The first time i setted foot in the plains i encountered a tiny goblin with a tiny wooden shield as he approched i said something like "Aww you looking for a fight little guy ? How cute but that's the end for you then" That's the moment i realised i fucked up and that the plains were definitely the high danger zone
I remember encountering my first 2-star goblin, with a spear. I landed the parry but because its spear was so damaging it still almost took half my health. This guys don’t mess around lol
This takes me back when we parked infront of the tar pit thinking it was regular slimes but we got obliterated with 2 of them and that includes our boats lmao.
I stumbled upon the plains while i still in the bronze age, no chance, spent an RL day sneaking back nakid to retrieve my gear, apparently there is no upper limit for death markers.
Im at 15 seconds and I'm already interested. Good job on the thumbnail. The music is perfect. Good set up. I'm not gonna watch the rest because there's no talky. Do a voice over sometime soon? Not finishing the vid but I'll follow. I can't wait to see where you go! Good luck dude!
My first experience with the plains was similar. I sailed my longboat just exploring and came across the pains in the distance and before I even made it to shore a deathsquito flew out towards me over the water and killed me on my boat 😂
My 11yr old daughter kept begging me to visit the plains. The flashbacks of how I discoverd the plains were too fresh... I knew how awful it was and we hadn't even defeated bonemass yet. She wouldnt shut up, so i let her get a taste of a fuling. She's traumatized and has not been back to the plains since. Took all i had to get her to not rage quit.
Still remember the day when me and my friends first got a karve we only had enough for one since we all wanted bronze armor (there were about 9 of us) so we sailed to another land for more resource. after fighting 3 serpents along the way we found a plains biome with our broken ship. we decided to "explore" this new place. first 2 person got out of the ship and went straight inland then me and 2 of the crew decided to get some wood to set up camp, while the rest did their own thing. while farming wood one of the 2 who went inland softly said in discord, "what dafq is that" followed by screams as he watch his partner get killed by a deathsquito. he ran back to us while being chased by 3 deathsquito and 5 fullings. we were dying left and right and our portal isnt even up yet. since the guy who had the mats died to the fulling. while I was trying to fight 1 fulling I got hit by the torch wielding fulling and died. 5 of us were waiting at home for the survivors to slap down that portal. and by some miracle one of us manage to put it down. then we went zombie mode in that fight. dying by trying to get our loot, respawning again and again. I died at least 5 times that night I dont remember about the others tho. cant believe that was 2 years ago
My first time was more like: "Alright I'll just pull in quick and make a simple base..." *two skeeters aggro before I can even reach shore* "Nope nope nope nope nope!" *quickly pulls away and desperately tries to lose them at sea"
One of my first swamp encounters I found one of those wooden huts sticking out the water offshore. i'd been rocked by the swamp before so i figured i'd just keep this little house offshore. storm came through and raised the water above the hut. leeches got me....
Had I not discovered parrying with shields early on, I would 100% have died on my first encounter, too. Luckily, I managed to parry the first deathsquito I saw with my iron shield, and realized it did like a hundred damage in one hit (negated by blocking/parrying). Decided to not return until I had full iron gear and set up a small base on the outskirts with lots of campfires and stakewalls
I remember the first time I started exploring the sea and found a strange Island. At the time I had only a troll armor and bronze weapons but I didn't care since the Island wasn't from a new biome I thought it was safe until I found a zombie village, I didn't know that their name was draugrs, and kept running and trying to run away for twenty minutes to no avail and ended up dying miserably losing all my gear. It was not fun at all lol.
This the reason that I ever Cheat my loot back. The Plains Area is so overpowered alone today I died 6x times in this fcking Area. A little miscarriage insect of steroids one shot me with Full Iron armor🙃
i was sailing by a plains biome super far away from my base on a karve only to have a deathsquito come out of nowhere and snipe me while i was still on my boat in the ocean. never played again after that as my stuff was too far away from my base
See you rolling jnto the plains with 48hp had me like: “this gonna be lol” Am I the only one that makes sure I’m buffed to hell before I go into new areas in games?
No you‘re totally right lol. I was sailing for a half an hour and my plan was to just instantly build my portal and get back. It was definitely reckless, but because I couldn’t see no enemy I assumed its safe
that was too my first experiens with plains. I was cruising with boat serching for new land and then oh that something new i gather some resourses to unlock recips and back on boat. Hmmm after 20 sek deathsquito one shot me i hade 30 min of sailing to save my eq but this MF killed me on my second boat :/
1st time player: "Ah the plains looks peaceful and serene compared to the swamp.....wait there's a bunch of green people coming over....what is that flying thing?"
I went in for my first time with a tiny bit of bronze stuff, and mostly stuff worse than that. I had to remake all of that stuff because I couldn't get my dead body back I recently found that grave and got a nice 29 raspberries off of it though
I was sailing past a plains and got attacked by 2 deathsquito. They mainly kept poking my karv, so I was able to snipe one with my trust bow, but that angered it's partner, so he attacked me instead. 1 hit took about 40% of my health (i had around 80 HP and level 3 troll armor). I decided to jump ship and attampt to flee, but I was too late. It was too fast. For the next hour, I built a new boat and sailed all the way back to the plains, set up base in a nearby black forest, and snuck back to get my stuff. I was able to get my stuff back and sneak snipe the deathsquito. I don't sail near the shorelines of the plains anymore
Ended up finding a tar pit my first time. The Longship didn't save me and I drowned because of the damage it took, no matter how far out i sailed, the tar slime was still there...
My first Plains visit was also like bzzz...death. my second time, Much later in the game i used the longboat sailing a few meters offshore, untill two deathsquito followed me. I sailed away but one of them kept chasing me into the ocean. It could hit me with only 3HP left i ran to the front of the ship, The deathsquito started to try make the final attack but didn't realize the ship had some forward momentum and got hit by the ship's mast. Instant kill. I was saved, i think Odin was on my side that day.
Me and my friend were trying to get to the bone mass the problem is we had to go across the plains to do it and because we were lazy we didn’t make a boat. By some act of god we made it out alive
I didn't get the full bronze gear, I went straight to the swamp with a bronze sword and troll armor. With the root armor, I can survive the plains as long as I don't go to far. The deathsquitos can't kill me very easily, they do some damage but I can take multiple hits. The goblins on the other hand can kill me with 1 hit if I'm low on hp and if they use their strongest attack. The strategy with goblins is to use fire arrows but normal arrows are enough, and most important, killing one by one. Lox should only be killed from a safe spot, like the undestructible swamp trees, taming lox should be done in the open. Bulding a stone pen is only safe if you can handle one of their bites, I once died trying to close a pen and trapoing the lox inside. If you are really strong my tips are irrelevant, but if you're still weak, they are good. You can start getting black metal scraps, flax, the other wheat looking thing and berries, and plant what you can. When I kill moder, I have a huge amount of material that I can use to craft black metal armor, weapons and tools.
I remember the first time I stop my ship at a very very very small plain (even smaller than some houses!) and unfortunately there are two Lox on it. I thought the trader is feeding the same creature so they should be friendly. Before I figured out that how dangerous they actually are, they sprint towards me, then my Karve was smashed and I'm killed :(
Yeah thats what happend to me and my friends too, none of us knew the dangers of the plains. We got greeted by a group of deathsquitos who oneshot all 4 of us.
That is exactly what happens to me the 1st time I went there killed by a death skeeto. At 1st it looked like you were gonna put down a work bench and a portal I was like smart like. Like I should have done that too
weirdest thing that happened to us: drove on a boat. I sat in front my friend steered. it was night. we drove by a plains biom. a moskito killed me. my tombstone floated on the water the next day. it was pretty wild :D by now Moskitos were nerfed afaik
Had the exact same thing happen. Even built a second longboat to get back and a fucking mosquito flew out from plains halfway there and killed me again. AAAAAnd now the console commands are active...
Think that's everyone's first time in the plains biome tbf lol. Wouldn't count my "first time" tho since it was only a tiny, tiny strip of land without anyone on it. But on my second one, it was a very vast land. Stepped foot into it for like 5 seconds and there were just 2 deathsquitos waiting for me xD. Let's just say I did not live for long in my troll armor.
My first time in plains went down similarily: _Me with two friends, in a boat_ All: _Get jumpscared by the biome discovery sound_ Friend 1: Well that's new. How about we get a bit closer to the coast and explore a bit? Me, knowing about the plains' reputation: I'd rather not, this might be dangerous... Friend 2: What could go wrong if we just set foot in there? Come on! _gets up_ Me: Wait, what's that? It's a mob... Friend 1: Ok, it says 'Deatsquito'. Run. Now. Friend 2, who was just about to jump out of the boat, not even 'setting foot' onto the land, _gets f*cking obliterated_ .
Yup, before your block is leveled up this place is horrible. Those bastards will break your shield and kill you with one blow. My first map had the plains on the same continent. My strat today is to take a landing team. You have 2 to 3 players for guard duty. Then 2 to build. Builder 1: Throws down workbench. Builder 2: starts on shack for portal and beds. Builder 1: throws down portal inside of the build area. Everyone: Scream do you hear buzzing to the point where no one hears the buzzing. Edited for typos, I should proofread.
I also think that it definitely has some similarities and me being a huge Dark Souls fan since day 1 (most of this channel is DS related too) I like Valheim a lot. Its difficulty offers the same kind of reward if you succeed
I remembered my first encounter with that insect. I was in the black forest then suddenly i saw a weird looking plant (cloudberries) i was so excited that i discovered something new in the game so picked up a bunch of them then suddenly i heard a buzzing noise coming close and the moment i turned my back to look where the noise was coming from it was too late. The insect like thing one shotted me. I was fortunate that i didnt have to sail to get my lost gear (walked very very fat though). I died several times after that trying to recover my gear. Ps. I have no portal, my plan in the black forest was to hunt crypts so i can get cores for portals but i was killed by my curiousity instead😆

My first squito killed me while I was still on the boat watching the beautiful landscape...
"Tourists go home!"
"I saw no mobs at all"
Don't worry the mobs see you
Oh I remember this moment so well, my older sister and I were playing together, our mission at the moment: get to the second boss location marked on our map and kill it.
You're going into a new biome with troll hide armor 😂
What can go wrong right? Lol
@@wazdalos and u have no hp lmao
Me an all my friends did the same too. it's quite a good armor ;)
what do u mean troll armor are good and also light.. if its all lvl3
the name says it its a troll armor, its gonna troll your armor lol!! but this was the plains even with iron armor still would be one shotted by a deadskito!
My first adventure into the plains ended as soon as my boat touched land 😢
Poor guy.
when mosquito is harder than the second boss
For real though
Been there done that. Hate dose mosquitoes. Gets me every time.
The fact that you saw a stone formation like the one on the left on your first time in plains makes me extremely jealous. It took me probably over 30hrs to find just ONE.
What are the stone formations?
@@LucidOreo It's where you find the stones for the location of the last boss. They are very rare and each has a chance to have a stone tablet on it.
I found more plains way before I found my first swamp crypt.
@@Madtroll1209 I'm not talking about plains, I'm talking about the stone formations that gives the location of the last boss. Crypts can be hard to find and theres plains everywhere on the world if you go far enough.
next to my first island ive got a plains biome that is just wide enough to hold a fulling vilage and absolutely nothing else.
The plains are responsible for my 5 months hideous from valheim
I got lucky, 2 deathsquito's aggro'd me and my son while we were merely sailing by the plains, but we were heading full speed, and managed to outpace them. Eventually the wind died down, and they started to catch up, but by some miracle the back of the boat was bouncing up and down in choppy water and squished them somehow. Thanks boat!
Everyone who has been to the plains, as soon as video opens: **looks at health** "They will be oneshotted by a deathsquito."
Earlier me and a friend found a plains and he charged in care free while I was worried, we both had lvl 4 iron armor and he died almost instantly
1st fault :46 health 😅
2nd fault: destroy workbench and did't place portal
during bronze age i discovered mountain, the only other biome on my starting continent. wolves taught me that mountain is Not the 3rd biome. i couldn't even mine anywhere near a mountain. so i built a boat and went off to do exactly what this video shows. when i finally found a swamp i lucked out and built my portal on top of a crypt. i learned a lot about protecting yourself that day.
And then there’s me
I ended up in the plains when I was first fighting bonemass since it was right next to it you can imagine how that went.
Honestly they just ruin the experience and don't add anything
We managed to run our boat aground on an island near to the swamp, next to an underwater draugr settlement. The archers can shoot from under the water and there was plenty of slime and ghosts too. In the end we built a whole land bridge to retrieve our items.
Everything’s fine til you hear a giggle from the tall grass
This is literally what happens to everyone who visits plains for the first time 😂
After I first played and tried to enter the Plains wearing leather and a starter bow lol, I started finding a connecting Biome to lay siege very methodically from then on out.
We're all here for the never-anticipated Deathsquito one shot
Haha! That is exactly how my first trip there went. Only difference was I ran there by mistake while running from blobs / drauger in the swamp.
Thats rough man :D
I stumbled upon the plains while i still in the bronze age, no chance, spent an RL day sneaking back nakid to retrieve my gear, apparently there is no upper limit for death markers.
Im at 15 seconds and I'm already interested. Good job on the thumbnail. The music is perfect. Good set up. I'm not gonna watch the rest because there's no talky. Do a voice over sometime soon? Not finishing the vid but I'll follow. I can't wait to see where you go! Good luck dude!
Thanks man! Im planning on doing just that
Boar meat in the plains is wild.
My first experience with the plains was similar. I sailed my longboat just exploring and came across the pains in the distance and before I even made it to shore a deathsquito flew out towards me over the water and killed me on my boat 😂
Hmm...yes...an iconic vibe check...
Before I hit play on this, from the title alone, I started going "Where's the skeeter? Where's the deathsquito?"
Thats amazing haha
My first time was more like:
"Alright I'll just pull in quick and make a simple base..."
*two skeeters aggro before I can even reach shore*
"Nope nope nope nope nope!" *quickly pulls away and desperately tries to lose them at sea"
I thought swamp was scarier back then. When I though I was safe I got jump by 3 goblins. Thus I swore to have my revenge and become the goblin slayer.
My little bro died like that fracking funny 😂
This the reason that I ever Cheat my loot back. The Plains Area is so overpowered alone today I died 6x times in this fcking Area. A little miscarriage insect of steroids one shot me with Full Iron armor🙃
i was sailing by a plains biome super far away from my base on a karve only to have a deathsquito come out of nowhere and snipe me while i was still on my boat in the ocean. never played again after that as my stuff was too far away from my base
As soon as I saw the video title, I called it. Death by mosquito. I was not disappointed.
Skeeto: *one hits the player*
The credits for curb your enthusiasm start to roll
Was wondering when a DS would show up... :)
See you rolling jnto the plains with 48hp had me like: “this gonna be lol”
Am I the only one that makes sure I’m buffed to hell before I go into new areas in games?
No you‘re totally right lol. I was sailing for a half an hour and my plan was to just instantly build my portal and get back. It was definitely reckless, but because I couldn’t see no enemy I assumed its safe
@@kathrynmercier4874 Youre a true Viking! lol
that was too my first experiens with plains. I was cruising with boat serching for new land and then oh that something new i gather some resourses to unlock recips and back on boat. Hmmm after 20 sek deathsquito one shot me i hade 30 min of sailing to save my eq but this MF killed me on my second boat :/
First time I visited the plains, I docked my boat next to this large brown super still bush after sailing for 10min… it wasn’t a bush… I died.
i remember when a team of 5 of us went in, there was much screaming and panic
My first venture into plains also ended in a horrible death by several little green dudes who hit like a juggernaut.
1st time player:
"Ah the plains looks peaceful and serene compared to the swamp.....wait there's a bunch of green people coming over....what is that flying thing?"
Yeah, you definitely wanna do swamp before plains. Get a full set of Root Armor and those things won't do much more than give you a slight tickle.
The Root armor is actually a great addition to the game
Survived your first visit a lot longer than I did. I didn't even get off the boat.
Arrived, exit boat. See flying thing approaching..... One shotted by a mosquito. We joined the "me too" movement.
I went in for my first time with a tiny bit of bronze stuff, and mostly stuff worse than that. I had to remake all of that stuff because I couldn't get my dead body back
I recently found that grave and got a nice 29 raspberries off of it though
My first time I wasn't able to put a foot onto land. Two deahtkitos came to welcome me at the very boat.
This is everyone's first landing to the plains. Lmao relatable.
Just wait until you meet the Tar blobs. Those things will not only kill you, but incinerate your boat if you try to escape.
This game is great at messing with your expectations. But when you died of it, you'll go "ah it makes sense".
That is exactly what happens to me the 1st time I went there killed by a death skeeto. At 1st it looked like you were gonna put down a work bench and a portal I was like smart like. Like I should have done that too
Hey, you made it to shore alive, that's better than my first plains experience, haha.
Seeing you in trollhide and meadows level food, I knew a squito was gonna do a quick tap on your shoulder to say hi xD
Deathsquito: "Welcome to viking Africa"
weirdest thing that happened to us: drove on a boat. I sat in front my friend steered. it was night. we drove by a plains biom. a moskito killed me. my tombstone floated on the water the next day. it was pretty wild :D
by now Moskitos were nerfed afaik
You know it's gonna be bad when hes just got troll armor and iron equipment, its like going to the black forest naked😅
Troll hide and im up in the mountains with my friend having a full set of metal gear and still its hard.
This can be commercial for the need of mosquito repellent.
Had the exact same thing happen. Even built a second longboat to get back and a fucking mosquito flew out from plains halfway there and killed me again. AAAAAnd now the console commands are active...
Most welcoming place in Valheim
Those deathsquito are hard to hit with your bow and can’t be out run.
I Found a plain near my Camp but no tar. Is there something to unlock first
Think that's everyone's first time in the plains biome tbf lol.
I had to laugh that loud when I saw the 46 health, that my kids came to ask why.
Amazing 😂
One time, i got killed on the boat. At sea. Atleast 200m from shore, by a friggin Deathscito. From the back!
My first time in plains went down similarily:
_Me with two friends, in a boat_
All: _Get jumpscared by the biome discovery sound_
Friend 1: Well that's new. How about we get a bit closer to the coast and explore a bit?
Me, knowing about the plains' reputation: I'd rather not, this might be dangerous...
Friend 2: What could go wrong if we just set foot in there? Come on! _gets up_
Me: Wait, what's that?
Edited for typos, I should proofread.
this game is ridiculously hard makes dark souls look like a walk in the park
I also think that it definitely has some similarities and me being a huge Dark Souls fan since day 1 (most of this channel is DS related too) I like Valheim a lot. Its difficulty offers the same kind of reward if you succeed
that's a bit of an exaggeration but there are some similarities I guess
i always say "dieing simulator" when talkin bout valheim :D
It's not hard once you get the gear and skill level. The earlier levels are more punishing.
me getting to plains while searching for elder boss thinking it is a easy zone
Bro, when I first got there they killed me in my boat BEFORE I landed xD.
It’s relaxing, they said. Have a go, they said -_-
