Wonderful to see this. Thank you for posting. When I was in my early twenties (I'm now 74) there was an exhibition of Augustus' work in London. I loved his paintings and bought a book there 'the seventh child' by Romilly John. I was fascinated by the Bohemian life style of the John tribe and the wonderful descriptions of Alderney Manor where they lived.
"Would you chose the same life again?" "Yes. That gives me away doesn't it! Yes, I'd like to have it all over. Cos I enjoyed it so. With its unhappiness too. Thoroughly." What a fantastic old boy. And living testimony of Wilde! Thanks.

Searched this out because of Marion Margolyes autobiography who had watched this, was so intrigued by him, went and modeled for him at age 19.
It is wonderful how television captured such geniuses on film prior to them passing. Same for Mortimer Wheeler.
