Jessie and Krysta's coexistence makes the Wii U even more fun.
Yep I just hope it has several well designed multiplayer modes. Battle Mode is a must imo.

Cannot even described how hyped I am for this game. I haven't played a Pikmin game since the year Pikmin 2 came out and I enjoyed the hell out of those two so much. The fact that there was no new Pikmin title on Wii seemed absurd to me so hopefully this more than makes up for the long wait.

Yes it will. Up to 4 players. You can use the wii mote or the pad.
At the end of Pikmin 3, you fight Olimar at the top of Mt. Silver. He has his back turned and only talks in ellipsis marks. He has level 81 red Pikmin with him.
A casual gamer is someone who just picks up a game and plays it for a bit, a hardcore gamer is someone who plays many different games to the finish almost everyday, like me :)
Oh ok. I didn't know about the GC controller port gone, I do see pros of the controller including a screen to see the overall map and is very cool, and also saw the wii u pro controller there making that goes after a similar layout to the GC controller.
My guess would be that Olimar, Louie, and the President is stranded on the Planet for some unknown reason, and the 4 heroes are a rescue team.

Pikmin is probably one of the most hardcore games that exists, as it's almost impossible to play in small sessions and requires a lot of time and effort to play the game effectively.
Chuggaaconroy makes Nintendo Let's Play walkthroughs, they're really helpful if you get stuck while playing Pikmin or Pikmin 2. Even he has his freakouts, even though he's beaten both games many times. :)
Yes, there is an option to play with the Wii U game pad. But honestly, returning to dual annolog is something I highly doubt you'll do. The Wii mote's pointer allows for faster, more precise multitasking & that's something dual annolog can't offer.
Its the DEMO version, the final product will have a story mode!
I have. Big games like that often don't live up to it's promises.
Just look at Dragon's Dogma. It looked good and ended up being Monster Hunter, but without the easy transportation.

Actually it's kinda the other way. The Wii U is entirely new yes. But you can add the wii remotes AND play with the game pad making 5 players. Plus u can put wii games in it AKA backwards comp.

Nintendo, with the Wii U, will make hardcore gamer games and casual gamer games. Have you seen E3? Batman Arkam City, Mass Effect 3, and Assassins Creed 3 look amazing!
I hope they still have caves like in pikmin 2

I will also hope with all my will that you could get a chance to play it, I'm not sure why you are unable to play Pikmin 3 but it's obvious there's something keeping you from it and you seem upset. I really do hope you can get it so you can play it instead of those other games.
Nah without multiplayer this game is a definite step down from the quality of Pikmin 2.

Oh, and also there WILL be a zelda and metroid game for the Wii U. They just haven't announced it yet.

olimar is still in the game. I saw the trailer and olimar was in it.
Wii U is the best console right now for excel in both casual and hardcore games.
It spawns all the genres from horror surviving to family casual.
It will sell more than Wii, just like how the Wii outsold Xbox 360 and the PS3.

Story Mode=Unlocks Mission Mode=Boss Bash Reloaded(face all the Bosses from Pikmin 1 and 2)=Boss Bash(all bosses from Pikmin 3)=Story Mode(EX mode a more harder version)
Well that is my ideas of what I want!
Their strategy for this conference seems to be showing classic nintendo games, like a mario and a random mii game, while the third party developers have the hardcore games to show off.
hope you guys are having fun with that game while we sit here in our boring states waiting 3 extra months to get this game in order to play it...
Tf2 is hardcore. It takes a while to get really good at it. I've unhealthily played 750 hrs + since it went free and I top the scores on many servers that I go to.
Also, if you look at Heroes of Ruin's E3 page, it says 'Players: 1' when it's clearly 4 players online.
I think the players bit only means local players.
Project P-100 also says 1 player, but it's clear in the footage that there are four players at once in some sections. Possibly because it's only online due to you NEEDING to use Wii U Gamepad?

They better. Most likely they do, but they haven't started making the later levels with those white/purple flowers, hence why there's only that "mission" mode or "action" mode or whatever she called it.
ZombiU is a Wii U exclusive, and due to the features, it always will be. Team Ninja is rebuilding Ninja Gaiden 3 for WiiU, not porting.
Hardcore means appeal to a few gamer and casual games appeal to a lot of gamers.
Pikmin 3 should reach the casual status please, because Pikmin is one of the best game series ever.
I know, right? i mean he said he wasn't playable but then why was he in the trailer? It was a red themed suit, and it had his exact hair and everything.
he's either gonna be computer controlled or you get him back at some point.
I hope Pikmin 3 is like the first and second Pikmin, I want to explore places and fight bosses like in the first two games, beating the clock and collecting fruit doesnt really sound like pikmin to me. Pikmin to me is exploring and fighting beasts or finding parts for your spaceship to get back home. :/

And for the record, I'm a PC gamer as well.
There is at least one on each console. Nintendo almost always puts at least one title of each of their franchises on each new sistem they release. Oh, and BTW Mario is hardcore, because even when they're part of a saga (Mario Party, Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy, Paper Mario, etc.) none of them can be considered better just because it's the newest one, all of them have elements that make then unique.

also, the concept art shows no suit with a red light, yet someone who looks almost exactly like olimar seems to be in gameplay in the trailer at one point. maybe they rescue him at some point, and then you can use him when you want to for the rest of the game?
Also, I've readed about some things that makes videogames hardcore or casual, like for example, in a casual game/franchise the newest tittle will always be the best, unlike in hardcore games, where every game has something better, but also something worse, so there's no really a better game than the other ones. Resuming, what I tried to explain is that a hardcore game is that one, which is so good that it can be replaced with a newest tittle from the same franchise. So COD is casual in that way.
Poor Reggie is never going to live that down...
I'm not bashing any other system. I own, play and enjoy PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
And long development time just shows that they care about their games. Better than releasing a game early when it's far from great.

Just because we recognize quality games when we see them doesn't mean we don't play none nintendo made games. there are probably tons who are excited for the hardcore ones like batman.

That's all down to the player really (Most 'first-person shooter-types' think 'real-time strategy' ((RTS)) are for casuals.) Pikmin is an RTS, and not some mindless RTS where you can blatantly throw Pikmin at the enemy and expect to have all of your units return. It was both an easy and difficult game; I was glad they removed the most annoying element in the series though; the 30 day time-limit!
PC: Even more hardcore games then Call of Kids and Babies of War
Is there an option for original controls? I mean without the wiimote, maybe with the Wii U gamepad or even the Wii U Pro controller.

The Wii U is going to have just as much hardcore games as the PS3. And technically speaking, Pikmin 3 is a hardcore game. "Hardcore" doesn't mean "tons o gore". For instance:
Tetris: casual
Angry Birds: casual
Nazi Zombies: casual
Pacman: casual
TF2: Possibly casual
Mario: Slightly hardcore
Pikmin: Hardcore
Bioshock: Hardcore
Pokemon: Hardcore
Zelda: Hardcore
Mass Effect: Hardcore
Metroid: Hardcore
Fallout: Hardcore.

They've already hinted a Zelda game for the Wii U
music kind of does with "mainstream" which i know is different but still. Some people are pricks and think suddenly if a band is pretty mainstream that they're sellouts when some bands are just so popular cause they're good. lol.

I think tf2 is hardcore: it has quite a following and it's not easy getting in to at first. Hell it even has it's own economy with metal and hats. And the saying can be like this: Easy to play, hard to master. It also requires skill and you can't just think that you will own in tf2 because you're good in black ops.
Well, Pikmin isn't the MOST hardcore, but it's pretty high on the hardcore-ness chart to me (It's also one of my favorite series of games). However, 3D Mario platformers aren't really that hardcore. Sure, you'll loose a few lives here and there, but they're still pretty easy. ESPECIALLY Super Mario 3D land. The only reason that one was hard in any way was because you HAD to get every star coin to beat the game (And all that just for a few pictures...)

Pikmin actually requires you to use your brain, which is more than you can say for God of War Ascension. The Last of Us looks nice, though, but I seriously doubt it'll be any more difficult than pikmin.

First of all the Wii U controller has all the necessary buttons, the Wii U controller pro also has all the necessary buttons if it can also be used with this game, and third THERE ARE NO GAMECUBE CONTROLLER PORTS, THE GAMECUBE IS AN 11 YEAR OLD CONSOLE IT'S ABOUT TIME WE MOVED ON.
Why do you have to use the old remotes? Isn't the new remote the whole point of the wii u?
Some of the people in these comments...ugh. Look, These games look great. It doesn't matter what system you have or what games you play, because if you enjoy it, that's all that matters. Yes, Pikmin 3 looks amazing! I'm a long time fan of Pikmin. Also, Last of Us and Halo 4 look equally amazing. Having exclusives don't make you better, they just drive you to one system or another.
