I was stationed at Schofield Barracks there from '93 - '95. Something magical about Oahu. LOTS of great memories! I miss the island and hope to be able to visit again one day. Mahalo for the video, Ken!
Next time in Hawaii Ken, stay at Embassy Suites. Free breakfast, everything you could want, and good coffee. Free pupus during happy hour, and entertainment. In Waikiki.
Well, the Ice tasted like ice, the pineapple tasted like pineapple and the mango tasted like mango, oh and the glass of water tasted like a glass of water, lol
That mall you and your family went to has a similar look to one I have visited in Florida. Love the outdoor and open concept. Definitely want to visit there!! The Hawaiian shaved ice again looked really really good!! Glad you and your family are having a blast and great vlog!! :D
Yeah, if you ask for stamps at a grocery store, drugstore or convenience store in the US, they usually just have books of 20 regular letter stamps (or the people working there are only used to people asking for that). MAYBE the service desk at a grocery store might be more helpful instead of a regular cashier, but you usually need to go to the post office or find a stamp vending machine in some other places (sometimes larger grocery stores) to get post card or other more specialty stamps. C'mon! Who mails post cards anymore??? ;-)
W W I know you are probably expecting a reply from Ken but just in case he doesn't see this: Yes. I think he showed it in the first Hawaii vlog. They rented a SantaFe
Hey Ken.. did you know theres special items at McDonalds in Hawaii.. Portuguese Sausage, eggs and rice for breakfast.. some Haupia pies and fresh pineapple and some Okia Iced coffee.. I read about it on a Tripadvisor review.. Have a nice day in Paradise!
Mathieu Fortier for sure. Hes probably interested in trying Hawaii exclusives but I'm sure you saw everyone freak out whenever he ate fast food in Japan...
I hope you took Ben to Pearl Harbor visited the Arizona memorial and had a tour of the Battleship Missouri overall the most powerful battleship class that ever entered service. I know the significance isn't as great for Canadians but walking and touring the Missouri is a once in a lifetime experience.
As this video's drone shots clearly show, it's ironic that people come to Waikiki for vacations when it is a densely populated city of itself - likely to be far more urbanized than where they come from. And Waikiki is just a district in the city of Honolulu. Not to say, though, that it's not an appealing place to vacation. Millions of people do just that, every year.

This brings back memories. I was stationed at Pearl Harbor for 4 years. Used to shop here a lot. Also the Aloha Tower mostly.
Ken, you have to describe the taste more when you do food reviews
Well, the Ice tasted like ice, the pineapple tasted like pineapple and the mango tasted like mango, oh and the glass of water tasted like a glass of water, lol

Random mall show ... wonder if people go specifically for the show or just happen to stop while shopping...
so I guess the old days of cheap eats in the states are long gone specially with our SAD dollar
