Cool video. I'm quite happy, because yesterday i found fully working canister vacuum Zanussi ZAN 1655. It was totally clogged, but fully working. I don't know why are people putting working things into garbage. It just needed a little bit work on cleaning that nasty hepa filter. Thankfully it is washable.
Fascinating thanks for showing thus. We had a Panasonic/Kenmore like this that square we got over here in the states. Very different mechanically than the D4 that kind of looks like.
If I remember right the suction valve is in the dust meter. This vacuum is designed by Jean-Pierre Vitrac. I think this vacuum is from 1996-1997. This MC-850 serie launced 1993.
Very nice vacuum! The MC-850 series was launched in 1992, I have a brochure of that year were you can find it. The suction relief valve on most of the Panasonics vacuum cleaners of that time was placed into the bag check indicator, I hope this could help😁😁
Correction Roger, there is a machine that does everything very well that at least four of the five machines mentioned, it's called a Rainbow. It also does one other thing that all five machines can't do, and that is cleaning the air. If you bought a Rainbow SRX, you can attach self-contained systems for washing carpets (Aquamate) hard surface floors (RainJet) furniture (MiniJet) vacuuming with and without the power nozzle and above the floor cleaning With the improved RainbowMate mini power nozzle, it may take less effort to vacuum your car as well. The SRX is probably a good machine for cleaning the air in the home due to the massive HEPA filter on the rear of the machine. They are grade H13 on the older E2 type 12 units, but I don't know what the SRX has. My Rainbow probably does a better job of washing carpets and floors than most home user based carpet cleaners and surface cleaners, and is built to last quite a while. The machine is probably very affordable when it comes to consumables due to the machine using water bath filtration and recent improvements to the power nozzle belt and brush roll designs. The next versatile machine I can think of that does both canister and upright jobs as well as encapsulating shampooing of carpets and washing of hard floors as well is the Kirby Avalir and newer machine(s).
Very nice find. I have one as well in the collection. This was a 93-95ish model. The slightly later ones had brightly coloured section that I was never keen on lol 😆 Ment to say earlier your carpet and hard flooring look lovely. 👍🏼🥳
Reminds me of the SEBO D2, but obviously not the quality of a SEBO D2 though. Pretty cheap and basic floorhead though with only one row of bristles - what were they thinking giving people something as dire as that?
I found a panosonic mce750 vacuum in the trash. i asked the people if it works and if i can take it and they said it has been stored in a basement for god knows how long.It works but is spitting dirt out of the exhaust vent
It may sound a bit expensive, but I would go with the Shark Cordless Stick as it has great performance on hard floors and carpets. It doesn't even stall.
I wasn't surprised the Panasonic didn't disappoint, it's a brand I've always trusted with televisions and HiFi systems.
Hi Roger we had Panasonic Cleaners he in Australia but were The National name first 👍
Hi Roger, the suction valve is In the bag door cover in the same area as the bag check indicator. Tom
I think it’s doing a pretty good job for a basic vacuum. Thanks Roger.
Loved this vac we had one when i was a kid great machine.
It looks a bit like the Starship Enterprise 😃
Scott I was trying to think what it reminded me of....
Totally agree 👍
I was going to comment the same but you beat me to it :-)
I can't un see it now 😆
Try doing a search on the SEBO D4 Premium - that looks even more like the NCC-1701
Talking of wedding presents and being dumped in a loft, I wonder how many Hoover cleaners ended up in lofts during the free flights promotion!
here in USA panasonic manufactures the kenmore brand
I love 90s to 2000s things.

I’ve never thought of Panasonic for their vacuum cleaners, I did have a bash on one of these many years ago, I wouldn’t own one, but it was okay.

hi any ideas what would be a good budget vacuum for 2020. i have carpet, hardwood and tile in my house.
It may sound a bit expensive, but I would go with the Shark Cordless Stick as it has great performance on hard floors and carpets. It doesn't even stall.
Hey
Dirt devil be like: haha belt go boom
Sad that it has no powerhead.
Not really, powerheads are bulky and pointless. A well-designed multi surface floorhead could do just as good.
