Hello. After draping, I stitched it down along the sides of the drape. I also used pins to hold the drape in place while sewing. Also, you would want to use a steam iron too.
Hi thank you for this tutorial. I Have two question. I hope you could help me. It's my seconde time sewing draping dress. I took a heavy fabric. More thank satin and was note realy proud the final result. The plits were note realy defined, not as I want. So how can I fixe this. Howard the distance betwen two edges of plits play ? Or the width of the plits before cutting. Thank you for your answer
Hello Fiona. I don’t really understand the options you gave however for a drape dress to come out beautiful, using a heavy fabric would not work. The outcome would not be good. Also you can drape flat on the table like I illustrated in this video using slash and spread or drape directly on the mannequin. I hope this helps
This is beautiful. You have very good technique and I enjoy your teachings

After draping, how do you get to sew the draped cloth without scattering what you have aligned on the dress form?

Very lovely video but olease ma. Did you add allowance to the pattern while drafting?
Yes, I did
Can't l do the slashing on the material without using pattern paper
No you can't. Another alternative is to drape on a mannequin
Ok
I love you
What material did you use can I use crepe for it
I used duchess. I wouldn't advice you use crepe except it's light weight
