I really liked the look and character of 35mm f2, 55mm f1.2 and 50mm f0.95 . The texture of the bokeh looks so organic and painting like in comparison to the sony 50mm f1.2 .
That Canon FD 85mm 1.2 looks excellent. Adding that one to the list of lenses I want for my Fx6. Great video! I've watched this a few times now and I'm beginning to love the FD 28mm 2.0, I feel like that lens would be excellent for bar/restaurant promo videos.
These lenses are incredible! I used some of the cheaper FDs and really liked them. But this lenses take it to the next level! Exactly to try 55 f1.2 and 35 f2.0 in the future
So a few things not mentioned that are relevant. Did you shoot this all at their widest apertures? Did you do any post to give them a "filmic look"? For me the 28mm f/2.0 was the winner.
There’s a lot of misinformation about SC versus SSC; both are multi coatings, it was really just a marketing thing in the 70’s as it was a cheap way to up-sale people and there was a big “coating” war between lens makers.
With due respect, and I also have my small but growing collection of legendary glass, but because these lenses were made for stills photography, and never intended for film making, they have little practical use. A fad factor like Bokeh and Flares in the niche Anamorphic subculture, I shoot Anamorphic for the Aspect Ratio of classical 2.35:1 not for aberrations, they don't tell the story. Imagine doing a practical shoot on set for a drama or product commercial with action with these boutique legacy lenses? Pulling focus wide open? No, they are for making pretty pictures, but not practical professional film making. So certainly enjoy them for what they offer. Pretty pictures and model, thanks 🍷
honestly for the same focal length and aperture, I bet you will not be able to pass a blind test which is which.. so in the end it's just youtube gadget and consumerism...
Camera Conspiracies is gonna troll u for having too much toneh 😂 Ngl I liked the 50mm GM. But the blur was a bit excessive for my liking. Grading was gorgeous & perfect otherwise 😊
loved the 35 f/2. nice shots all around!
this was awesome, thank you. Really appreciate the GM sample in there too
I am drooling over this lens kit.
The Sony lens was a very appreciated comparison.
That FD 24mm may have had some haze in the lens making it soft. My copy is super sharp even wide open.

i love the fisheye 15mm, the look from 15mm in documentary setup i think it looks crazy
Absolutely gorgeous. Just pulled the trigger on the FD 35mm f/2. Pumped.
Dang this is pure butter. Love the look of the FDs on this camera.
All are beautiful, but the 50mm 0.2 dream lens is my favorite

I wish the nfd 28 f2 compared but sadly it doesn't have the same magic.

I managed to pick up the Canon 55 1.2 aspherical and the 35mm f2 ssc in a kit with an a-1 for 200 bucks
that is INSANE
More Canon FD's and vintage lenses!
I love your content, a big inspiration and proud to see other Romanian filmmakers.
Bravo
Hi, can you please tell me about the mount/adaptor for these fd lenses which support Sony fx3/6?
So a few things not mentioned that are relevant. Did you shoot this all at their widest apertures? Did you do any post to give them a "filmic look"? For me the 28mm f/2.0 was the winner.
Damn those Colors man... I almost had diabetes of The Eyes
Wow great test! Gone to check price for 28 2.0
85 e 1.2 :)
fain video , superb bokeh
si colorizare
Was a f/1.4 ...
@@dark-californiaypo, there's only a 1.2. Also it sais it on the lens, if you look closely
That 55mm looks icy love the compression you get .
One of your best reviews ever!
85/35 were my fave of the FDs
Very curious what lenses you have!
Which adapter did you use? I recently acquired a fx6, but own a ton of EF lenses.
I have the 15mm 2.8f and 50mm 1.4f , damn that 85mm 1.4f is super impressive 😅 but im worried about using it on a crop camera
Good day. Which adapter did you use? thank you.
Which converter did you have for the the fd lenses ?
What an amazing lens set!

More vintage lenses video pls 😊
Damn, those are some gems!!!
the dream lens gave me anxiety haha
Canon was another level.
was already buying the 35 f2, but now instead of the 85 1.8 i want that 85 1.2 L wow.
Question… What mount did you use for this?
Great video Alexandru! Base on your experience. Does the autofocus works with the canon lenses?
It doesn’t. These are 100% manual.
oh bro hahaha
35mm f2
50 0.95 😻
gorgeous
28mm f2 looked the best.
For me the best its 24mm 1.4 and 55 mm 1.2
yeah, the 24 is insane
music?
Canon the best lens woowwwww
the 55 fd 1.2 wow. the sony lens seams odd in comparison in a digital clinical way.
A lot of the lenses are more hype than actual performance.
Depends what you want ...
Good lord I'm bout to buuuust

I don’t believe that Canon made an FD mount 85mm 1.4. I think that their 85’s were a 1.2 and a 1.8.
It was the 1.2, if you look at the aperture ring
Type, it's 1.2.
There is no 1.4, you're correct, only 1.2 and 1.8.
I love 24 mm and 28 mm.
informative 4.5mins on fx6.

Fish eye! WHY becuase you blew out the background in every damn shot!
