The 2012 Shark Race R Pro had a neutral fit and the new version of the Race R Pro is intermediate oval. If you need a more round shape for a sport / race helmet, I would suggest the new RPHA 10 from HJC or the Arai Corsair V. ~Ali

Yeah bought one on sale recently. It fits snug it's pretty well ventilated when moving. It's a absurdly hot when still. This wouldn't be a issue if moving the visor up didn't require so much effort. It's held in place with a small notch that needs a lot of force to delatch I am constantly worried about snapping it whole trying to open it up. The latch for the lose neck strap is pretty pathetic I wish it was a better button it always ends up flapping in the wind. Apart from those small grievances the helmet is league's above anything i've worn before and makes riding such a joy. There consistently on sale (older models and styles such as this one) so keep and eye out for a good deal. I picked mine up for 375 AUD or 250 USD
Silly question. I know this is a race helmet, but I ride every day. I'm looking for something to accomodate a 3/4 to full tuck for more than 70% of my ride. I live very close to the freeway and work very close the other end of the freeway 25 miles away. I canyon and mountain carve once a month and plan on track days soon. I'm looking for lightweight, quiet and good airflow. Is this a helmet I could wear daily? Currently riding a Scorpion EXO400 XL which buffets like mad (2 years old, daily ride)
Curious what your personal opinion would be in regard to a sport lid, such as the Race-R, for me being on an RC51? Obvious any sport helmet is going to be loud but I think even with earbuds it'll be doable. Still debating the Race-R, Spartan, Rpha11. Even looked at the Scorpion R2000. Just curious where you would rank them. Obviously I want something on the quieter side but really want something light. Digging the Spartan but cant seem to find any information on wind noise other than a few comments
The quietest will be a Shoei RF-1200(NXR). The Race-R Pro is the nicest of those you listed, followed by the RPHA 11, EXO-R2000, and the Spartan. -DrewZilla

I loved the cheek pads. They are bigger and cover all the way to the ear, at least it seems that way. I have a vision r and the cheek pads do not get to the ears. That is why this race-r pro is more comfortable regarding the wind noise than the older version or even vision r. Is it possible to install these cheek pads in other helmets? They seem to have the same pressure connectors. In this race r pro, the fit for sharktooth is craved in to the helmet. The other shark helmets line ups have less cover, the hole is not in the helmet. They just made smaller cheek pads. Do you guys have any solution for this? Thanks.
