Hey you know why these voltage regulator fail caused I did change this part last year on my 97 MXZ 500 and and I'm changing it again soon I thought I might been because getting oil and dirt all it so I cleaned it up and restalled it somewhere else cause it's original location was right underneath the motor and closed oil container and oil injector
It makes sense if that’s the core issue… the old one that I took out was COVERED in oil- maybe a solution would be to spray it with flex seal if someone didn’t want to move it or keep changing it (Jerry rig solution)

Where did you bolt ground? I’m having issues w low voltage and every part of the electrical system is new
The ground is bolted directly under the voltage regulator on the same mounting bolt
