It’s so crazy to me, to see people doing this just because someone is pretty or handsome. It’s so weird, you only see that in Asian cultures, seeing someone on the street and making them a celebrity or famous just because of looks. No other talent, not hard working, nice, respectful, smart, etc… just looks. That’s kind of sad, when you really take the time to think about it, it’s very shallow thinking.

I’m pretty sure she’s a famous TikToker on Chinese tiktok and a lot of other popular Chinese tiktoker’s are filming themselves getting that drink too (I’ve seen her a lot when I used the platform) It also explains why the logo is in Chinese, and almost all the people taking pictures of her are (or at least looks) Chinese :)

When I travel especially in Asia I often come across people frantically taking pictures of someone. Sometimes I think it is just a chain reaction and if a few people are taking pictures other people jump in to film and take pictures even if they don't know exactly what is soo exciting.
I guess that's just a cultural difference of asia vs the west. In east asia/southeast asia, we have a few popular social platforms, websites where everyday ppl basically share about everything. Before people go somewhere for travelling they kinda do their 'homework' by looking up some guides and tips on what to eat, where to visit, what to spot etc. Some 'instagrammable' places or people just go viral because of the sharing on those platforms/blogs/posts. And ppl just flock to the same place, to eat the same thing, to meet the same person in order not to "miss out". Just following the hype i guess. 😅
Omg.. years ago there were videos on UA-cam of a fake singer / famous person that went to Japan (I think, it was so long ago now) anyways, he had a person with him that was a “body guard”, a photographer and of course the person recording his UA-cam video. He wasn’t a famous singer at all but because he pretended to be and had people taking pictures of him, people would swarm around him taking photos and even followed him around! So this is definitely a true theory, as it’s been tested 😊
I literally saw people doing this at Big C. I was soo confused like why would Big C pay some famous people to be in the grocery store. Then I realized they were employees and I was even more confused. Why would they pay employees to be like paparazzi? I don't get Thailand
