I like the LeMat familiy changes the most. Higher velocity, better shotgun, lower prices across all LeMats. Dual Wielding them also got buffed. You can put starshells in them. We get a marksman variant. And they found a new niche for the Uppermat. It is now an upgrade for handcannon loadouts.
Didnt they nerf dual lemats? With lower firerate? I still think dual lemats are more interesting now though, as they come with a free rival handcannon. With LeMat Dragonsbreath you can already double tap hunters really fast at strupid ranges like 35m to set them on fire and burn like ~30 HP. With a better spread that firte two tap could be really nasty in burning off bars before you engage with long ammo. With the benefit of also having 27 compact FMJ rounds for wallbangs. And it seems dragons breath also sets dead hunters on fire now?
@@sadrarezaee3190 I mean, I exclusively play solo v trio so it’ll probably be more annoying for me than others. I don’t care too much either way to be honest. I’d rather things stayed as they were, but you know.
just think back to before solo necro, getting burned didnt matter at all back then. so getting burned as a solo isnt much of an issue for me@@ieajackson5518
I'm looking forward to actually having a use for the shotgun part of the LeMat pistol I bring for fanning. Now I can give it the starshell round to burn hunters, freeing up both a tool of consumable slot.
Congrats on the creator program, super happy for you. Also as a solo necro enjoyer i welcome the burn changes. I think them adding more ways to burn bodies addresses what most people's complaints about solo self res is, which is it slowing down the pace too much, this should help speed up people being able to insure a solo stays down if they bring in the tools to do so.
i was prestiging purely for the skins, now stuck on prestige 28 because of need special ammo for the events to finish missions for points. So im appreciating this change so i doesnt need to grind seweral days for a bow and then loose it again quickly.
The workbench is a consolation prize for what role I liked generators filling, and that was something to fight over in the compound that wasn't an obvious vantage point or the bounty. Hopefully they bring more unique compound wide interactions next year.
@@LeMicronaut ... did the generators really give anyone something to fight over? I only ever used them as extremely unexpected cover since the majority of the playerbase just ignores them
It's basically an advantage for any sieging team since they can rotate less obviously, also masking their movement against other attacking teams. Also, depending on the compound, the interior lighting makes hiding a camper harder. Defense can use it, but audio queues are generally their greatest strength since their sightlines and routes are usually the most limited. Because audio's so important in Hunt (hearing defenders revive someone, for example) most people keep it off, but it has utility. @@maxanderson755 Metal doors and the guaranteed arsenal locations do fill the contest role, too, but they're more limited in scope since it's generally only affecting one path / sightline and rule of 2 limits the visits you'd need to consider at arsenals anyways.
I liked the prestige changed but the removal of shared weaopon xp is a bit of a bummer, really liked it when they introduced it. Made me use weapon variants or with ammo that I perhaps wouldn't of bothered grinding at all
The key is at 2:53. I was really excited to send it over to my friend but I wasn't speedy enough. I'll have to keep my eye on these notifications bit more thoroughly from now on. Congrats on getting in to the program.
I'm sad I don't know who got it... I should find a good way to connect for that. UA-cam doesn't allow PM's and I don't want to make them join a discord for it.
Playing solo only makes me nervous haha. I think the fusees and ranged corpse fires should have a timer, so you’ll probably be screwed, but maybe have a bar left to extract or Hail Mary. Congrats on creators!
Solo gameplay enjoyers like myself! Man up the winter is coming, we gotta make it through. I find the idea of making flares and fusees usable when u need a fire for a sleeping hunter great as I thought it's been already possible😂
I Like the prestige changes a decent bit actually. I usually do a whole prestige with a certain loadout or weapon to make myself understand it a bit better. I learned that I do quite like winny marksman with high velocity. I feel like I can actually do certain things now that I couldn't before, or not waste time waiting for something higher than level 50 to unlock. I'm probably going to do a whole prestige with the bow now it doesn't unlock after the lebel.
Perfect point on money economy and prestiging! I agree completely. On one hand, good that they are trying to change it, on the other, they chose an unfortunate way. Maybe it would be better if they just sped up the rank benefits...
I LOVE the idea of an allowance system, that actually sounds like such a fun idea planning out when you're gonna do an expensive round and when to do a cheap round and maybe try to loot some guns from the people who are doing THEIR expensive rounds.
in a long fight, fusees/flares/starshell offers an interesting decision v firebombs. u need to be more precise to start a burn than throwing a firebomb, but you now have space for more throwables which can give u a better upper hand in the fight.
I used to prestige a lot. I found that I was much more comfortable with a Winnie than I was with the more expensive guns. So... I stopped doing that so I could spend more time with upper tier weapons.
I actually welcome the economy changes. You need to think about the casual players that play maybe 2-5 matches every couple of days. Those guys don't want to "farm", to play a loadout they like and is "competitive". $200 hunter + $400 weapons and ammo + $150 tools + $300 consumables ~= $1100. To go be average/below average and die(casuals generally don't have compound knowledge). Unless you guarantee yourself a win you aren't making that money back. Also let's make some assumptions, we know the new engine is coming 2024(first half I believe). 1.15 could very well be the last major patch before the engine upgrade patch if it's coming in Q1. Hense all the quality of life changea. Crytek wants to make sure that when they release the engine and the game gets some attention and new comers those new people will have a welcoming experience so they stick around as loyal customers like you and I 🤠
The crytek devs also seem to be looking at their statistics wrong It's clear they're nerfing and buffing weapons based on how often hunters take them, instead of the feedback we give What Crytek need to understand is some weapons are going to be strong, and some weak - it's just how it is They seem intent on nerfing anything they see too often, and buffing things that they dont But not in a logical way
My problem with the current prestige is that I'm not even into very OP - late game weapons. I just want to play my Bornheim Match with a Hand Crossbow. It's super annoying having to play for 35 levels with guns I don't enjoy, and pretty much not having fun until then. I think that getting all the base weapons, but you need to unlock each variant and speciall ammo is a great in between.
Newish player here, I actually tried and was frustrated a few days ago that I couldn't light a hunter I downed with either my flares or flare gun, but luckily this solves that, plus I do really like them as items anyways, they can instakill anything except bosses and maybe the big blind guys (haven't tested) and even though they make it clear that a player has been there, it's a good way to deal with stuff like razor armoreds and such
Yeah neither fusees nor flares do any meaningful damage to meatheads. The only fast way to kill them is explosives, or maybe penny shot with some practice
@@big_smoke69 I generally just avoid em tbh, unless I'm trying to get xp on a gun and I'm about to extract or the server is empty, I would think flares have potential on players when fired from the flare gun though as they do 36 burn damage, which could potentially instantly destroy a small health chunk permanently if I'm not mistaken
Congrats on the program! Agree with the concerns on the prestige rework, and economy changes. With one caveat though: people do struggle with money, me included.
I agree with sentiment on the bloodline changes. I stopped prestiging because it was too much of a hassle combined with weekly quest progression, so this is really nice, but I'll miss the square one feeling. I loved and hated that feeling, and will be sad that feeling will be mostly removed now when I do prestige again. I'm curious to see what the eco changes will continue to be. I really don't like the allowance idea. I like have the currency be important and useable. I think having something non match related to dump money towards could help. I'd have to think on that idea more
I wish that they would keep the level system with unlocking guns but once you unlock you have all the things in that tree that you have already. So like when you unlock the winfield centenial you have all the shorties and ammo types and stuff like that. Also I like that you hid the key in the video, that was a really cool idea.
@@HuntShowdownLabThey released a video on Steam about new settings, deadzones, and turn strength just for aiming, check it out. After Fifield announced discontinuing old gen consoles by April 2024, I switched to PC keyboard and mouse and was amazed how much easier it is to hit shots. Thanks for your content, I taught a friend with 1,000 hours how to use Decoys in different ways haha! 👍🏻
Kudos on the creator program. Lemat buff I love it, but I do wish they would make the handling on the pistol part a little better I feel having slightly less away and tighter reticle/bloom would go further into making it more in line with the current pistol options. I think making the shotgun more viable is a step in the right direction. Prestige rework chefs kiss far better than I ever expected. Now as for the buff to starshell, fuses, and decoy fuses I only see the latter being taken after the novelty wears off tbh. I feel tool slots have steeper competition than consumables. Your taking a med pack so that's one, your probably taking a melee so that's 2, in reality you really only have 2 slots to work with. Rat traps are so powerful it's hard to not consider them. Hell you can even split them up to cover a wider area and make a makeshift minefield especially in trios. Same logic with starshell you can burn a downed hunter or blow up a barrel, but most compounds have a plethora of laterns and TOC is over so incendiary is back on the menu for barrels plus outside 3* lobbies most players avoid barrels like the plague.
As an already mmense flare and fuse enjoyer. I am happy. I use them to deal with hives and their swarms as well as concetina armored so having another option feels good.
I agree with you on the prestige part. I like that you don't have to grind too unlock tools and consumables. But I always prestige because it gives me a bit of a goal. It stops me just using the same load out game after game and stops the game going stale for me.
Comment about the economy. Currently I have 506K hunt dollars. This is because my preferred load out is 800 hunt dollars. I usually break even with just about every game session. The economy can be better controlled not through pricing but rather through pay out...IMO. It would be a more sweeping and dramatic change yes...as it effects ability for ALL weapons and equipment..so it's a broad sword and not the scapple they are using with hunter pricing.
Fuze and Flare change is definitly the thing I got most excitet about. Especially because I tried exactly this a month ago and got sad it doesnt work. Sidenote: I also was confused that fuzes and flares don't ignite the event point tokens. Since one can shoot em to ignite them
Great video and chat about those changes. I do love the decoy fuse changes, but just having the katana after asking for years to have one is insane to me. Do love lemat shotgun is actually viable now as well
The allowance would be the only other way to fix the economy other than more free hunters with free stuff. On my trio I am easily the worst though I do pop off very rarely yet I don’t seem to have money issues. But on the flip side of that our by far best teammate is constantly broke and has to hit supply points and Rob dead hunters to even get geared(if we make it far enough). Our biggest gripe I think is that free hunters seem to way more frequently than not come with a dual wield/medium slot combo and frankly that doesn’t fit any of our play styles. If they change up that little bit and make seeing a large slot/small combo more common I think our complaints in that area would be pretty settled. But as far as over all economy, the rich just going to get richer. I mean I hover between 4 and five and when I see a six star it’s like they have freaking laser beam eyes cause I’m dead as soon as they see me. The rest of it, who cares. Everyone will run flares and fusees till the new wears off and they go back to their usual and use them occasionally more. I kinda miss the days back when everyone didn’t insta burn personally😂.
Yeah, insta burning can be frustrating. I remember hearing content creators discourage burning right away as a show of sportsmanship or the like when I first got into the game. With the state of necro, I can't really blame people for being burn happy.
The thing about hunt dollars is what i was wondering a lot lately. I totally agree there is something wrong with H$ economy. Rich get richer, poor get poorer. I'm not on the poor side of the players but i wouldn't call myself rich also, i'm sitting somewhere arount 50k. My builds are not really most expensive nor cheepest, one game costs me about 800 $ 450 on consumables (Drugs are expensive kids) and 400 for weapons and tools, sooo middle of the pack. Game left with one bounty and 5/6 kills on average gives something about 1,2k. On Average i'm getting out victorious 40% of the time. There are some weeks where i'm 8k-10k down, there are some where i'm 10k up. But because of the buildup of pocket change i'm able to always carry some Regen and Stem Shots with me to bayou- because they are the most important adventage you can have in battle at this point of time in my opinion, you can kill with any weapon just depends on expirence, but not having meds or stamina in a fight can cost you greatly. And was wondering how awful expirence must have players who rarely get out of the bayou with bounty about 20-30% of the time. Not expirencing a problem doesnt mean that there isn't one. Maybe it just doesn't affect you.
I always try to help players that struggle with different ideas. for example just running free hunters the way they came, add a cheap melee tool and Medkit and contraband consumables and play aggressive if the weapons are decent. or I try to teach them a more careful playstyle with a loadout that only costs about 700-800 for me. we've all been at the lowest point of losing constantly for weeks straight its the worst ever.
(Replying to comment that dissapeared XD) I'm playing with my friend who prestiges often, and from time to time when we have a bad week he's really scrapping the barrel, so i get it. And some weeks he is at 20k. I'm not disaprooving changes, it's important for some players this adjustments to be made. But I'm kinda worried it's gonna be exploited. You having 6k? Just buy 2 mosins and you are able to buy good free hunters. So yea as said in the video there clearly is problem with H$ economy, but that's just a band aid for effects of an deeper issue, it's not resoling the problem. My thoughts what to do? I always wondered why not change weapon hoarding system- let players sell them for the value they are worth or a LITTLE bit less like 90% of the price if it doesn't have contraband mark, and if it has, let them sell it for 40-50% of the price. Most rich players won't bother with that, and people who have dire situation will be thrilled to exchange their winnie for a mosin they can sell. As said higher, it's not gonna resolve a problem but it's gonna make it lighter
@@IGI282 i mean yeah the new system might be exploited and i will NEVER see free hunters anymore :(( i mean HOW would i ever lose 550k hunt dollars? xD. (yes it took me ages to get up here i forgot how long maybe 2 years?) but yeah hunt will taketh alot from you sometimes. I once lost 10-20k in a week cause of sheer bad luck but made it back the next, somehow xD. im glad they changed it though so its way more friendly to the poor/newer players.
@@fritzflitz Exactly, hunt is hard enough at the beggining so lowering the bar for those new players so they don't quit the game too fast. Lower entry level-> more players -> better and faster matchmaking -> better expirence overall. So in the end i'm all about those changes
@@IGI282 Yeah, god i remember the days when i started back in 2018 and 2019. it was damn hard. atleast people helped me get better at the start so i didnt leave xD
What scares me is that people will realise how strong fuses actually are. Not many people know (i didn't until i happend to be on the receiving end) that they BLIND YOU. If you stand in doors, in windows and standing on top of a fuse - you can't see outside at all. And during night and fog maps fuses create a 'light barrier' that's even harder to see through than choke bombs. This will ultimately lead to my fav tool getting nerfed :(
This is why i spam flares/ fusees. Plus they can give away positions in interiors with their dynamic shadows and mask crouchwalking. However, they don't care about the visual obscuring, their wildcard is a mapwide ashcloud and smokebolts fill the same sightline denial role but way more cancer cause the coughing hitboxes can get wonky. People might be annoyed by their fizzing sound, but it has less lowend then the ambient fires during inferno or rain, so less audio fatigue overall. My biggest concern is starshell capcity will be nerfed cause it's a 40ish meter burn on exposed bodies, even those beind a wall if you can get the trajectory right. Currently you can carry 11-13 of them using flaregun+weapon ammo and get 2+ shells every resupply. You need that high capacity cause their durations are kind of mediocre, especially compared to fusees, but I can see players throwing a fit. One solution is to have the burn only last as long as light is being emitted. I think this is fair cause you're still taking at minimum 75-100 health per flare if it's left unanswered. Frontiersman is going to be great for the extra chokebomb now and smoke crossbow is going to be a lot more valuable.
All that was needed was for the oil to remove the contraband from the weapon so it could be sold. And it is the player’s personal decision to sell him the stolen goods or use them in the future
honestly they need to jack the cost of everything up, that would make a lot of the money problems fix themselves, you'd have to consider what you could afford, i have never ever struggled with money in hunt over my 200 hours
honestly would rather be burnt than trapped as a solo let alone die to traps its just sad, necro is pretty essential for high level solos to enjoy their time
Now they really need to start adding ways to put hunters out. I really hate being shoehorned into bringing chokes EVERY game, and now it's even more of a thing.
Bro I used to be so good at running out and tapping a body. Then they added a 2-minute burn to the fire bottle. Lol. A whole two minutes is a death sentence.
Tide of Lemat/Drilling would be more accurate. You don't even NEED to use a tool or consumable for fire now. Both starshells AND dragon shells burn bodies now, so you can even draw less attention. The economy change I think is fair and a solid solution while also essentially replicating the in game experience. If you have to play economy, you're at the random chance of finding whatever guns drop in the world or off a players body to begin with. Traits get farmed by hunting meatheads with arrows/bolts or poisoned nagants. If people ever fall below 5k in Hunt, they're on a losing streak, and instead of forcing them to basically avoid fights if rng and player positioning isn't great, they're trying to guarantee you'll have a reasonable build to pick fights with. (Or just adding convenience like not needing to buy and equip a melee tool and/or first aid 80% of the time now ) People doing well however can continue to buy whatever they want and can play more recklessly with their buffs/consumables. Removing the free hunter option at that level completely is good cause before it was technically a requirement to raid the free roster after every game if you wanted peak efficiency. Time based allowance system I think could be interesting in forcing every player to sweat over losing their loadout or spamming consumables, but I think it'd cause more fatigue among experienced players and without a way to either boost the allowance through bounties or having dollar overflow going towards another progression/rewards system every reset would upset people and make extractions late in the allowance period feel less impactful.
I'm very nervous about igniting corpses with Fusees, as this was the case in the past and it was extremely frustrating that getting downed was a guarantee to get burned. However, I believe at the time, Choke Bombs weren't even in the game, so it's likely that it won't be as bad of an issue. I do worry though it will force Choke Bombs to be even more of a necessity than they already are, considering that random teammates will leave your lobby if you don't have them equipped.
With all base weapons now unlocked after prestige it does fix one petpeeve of mine. Felt a little punishing to use a locked gun in a match and not get experience for its variants when its unlocked in the future.
I wish that instead of letting you keep weapons, they'd instead made it so you still had to get the weapons (that's half the point, as you said) but you kept variant exp for when you did re-unlock the weapons later. Sure, letting someone farm Avtomat once and then prestige and have it again would be a bit powerful, but then you can argue that they could just not have prestiged in the first place. Thinking about it, they could even just let you have a percent of your exp on a weapon after the prestige. For me, (shitty 3 star) It takes several matches to get all the exp to even max one medium length variant path, so I may only get 4 or 5 maxed ones and several partial ones before I prestige.
But not really because after prestige you have no money so it's hard to buy the Avto every game, and yes too because they'd have a "powerful" gun from the early game meaning they can farm hunt dollars a lot easier. So I think this is where the prices affect the good players the most, in the early prestige ranks.
I was noticing a slight necro buff at the same time. The way there is at least 7 points for legendaries that means necro will be available every single time you pick a legendary and if they give 9 points every solo will be able to afford necro and resilience every time.
True. Though to be fair I already see most players bring at least something in their kit to deal with solos, or just camp bodies if they don't have it, and I think the preponderance of Necro and the utility of fusees/flares/etc. will see that increase.
I think the changes to the Bloodline unlocks are great. To your point about the old system and how it forced players to try "cheaper" guns, I think they could re-incentivise players with an overhaul to daily challenges (greater variety of weapon specific challenges) and entice prestiging by updating the prestige rewards (like they say they would do sometime in the new year).
My brother and I love prestiging. Forcing us to go back to the start, with no options and resources but at the same time resetting our needs. When the game gets frustrating? Restart!
Back in the early days, you couldn't even get a free hunter unless you had nothing in your inventory in addition to being broke. This is definitely a better system.
A little sad you didn't cover the new and reworked traits. Anyway the burn changes are definitely not in my favor lol. My tools slot is already too stuffed with more important things, AND I'm solo. Actually, now that I think about it, would flares set off tripmines? Because that's my anti-necro weapon of choice, and It bugs me that I can't burn without setting them off prematurely. Another good question is if traps are even worth it anymore, or if I should just replace them with flares.
Not gonna dip too far in the water there, but... I gotta say: it depends. In fact, it depends on so much factors that your question (understandable, as it is) can't really be answered. It depends on your taste, your playstyle, time of the day, RNG on bosses, on their location, etc... But really, what I want to say is that it shouldn't matter to you. In my opinion, you can choose a loadout of your preference, or testing another gameplay, or picking items to help the weaknesses of the loadout of your duo... but you absolutely CAN'T pick something that'll have an answer to all situations. It could be a frustrating way of playing, but honestly, if there was a way to win the most out of all situations, everyone would run the same loadouts. So, in the end, I think you should choose either something you like to use, or something you THINK will help in your next game. Say you want to be a monster to dig out of the boss lair, so you pick a shotgun to shred the boss and the mines to trap the way in. You take that loadout for 5 to 10 games, and maybe in 3, 4 or even all of them, your loadout will be absolutely useless and you wouldn't be able to use it properly. But in the games you will be able to, oooh boy. You'll be perfectly ready for the situation and your opponents will FEEL it. In your situation, you're mostly asking yourself "do I want to have the versatility of the mines at my disposition or do I prefer the safe way and use the flares ?". Trapmines are a good tool to manage a necro, but they are not perfect, BUT you can use them to secure a location or cut a pathway. If you think you regularly use them in these many situations, I'd say they are pretty worth it ! Now keep in mind, I'm a relatively new player in Hunt, and that english isn't my first language. But i'll stay by my point : not all loadouts can, nor should, be effective in all situations.
I'm going to be a big flaregun enjoyer after this comes out, but I would never question the validity of traps, they are so useful in so many situations.
Thanks for the feedback. This was a test of a video, wasn't sure how interested people would be in my patch thoughts, so I wanted to keep it limited. I like the trait changes, but didn't feel like there was much to say other than 'good move, dev team'. Not sure if they set of tripmines. I would assume if you hit the bigger side of the trap it would. I know decoys do. I think traps have a wide variety of uses beyond covering downed hunters. MAYBE justifies concertina traps coming down some in price though. But as previosly mentioned the economy is meh, and i'm not conviced a price change would change anything about their usage one way or the other.
I like what you're getting at with your point on prestige but I guess my main counter to it would be questlines kind of encourage to play outside of the box. Prestige was already a bit of a self imposed action with a lot of players not even touching it because they did not care about the grind
But questlines will require things you don't have access to. I feel like it would be ok if they gave you access for anything required for a quest. I suppose the change addresses this as far as gun lines, but probably not in regard to special ammo types. I think there would be a way to better leverage quests for that variety, but I don't think the current system is doing that. I more feel like they're annoying chores in the way of weekly perks. than anything else. At this point I don't have a good suggestion for an alternative though.
In your mind, where would the bounty system fit with your allowance idea? Isn't the motivation behind bounty hunt to extract with the bounty and get the cash? I mean, for pvp you could just play Soul Survivor if you don't mind that you can't bring a loadout. I'm a 3 star player that hovers around 20k$. I barely break even after a gamesession. Dunno, I have a feeling that an allowance system where you gave to plan your money for the next 10 rounds would hurt me more than better players.
Flare Gun and Alert Trip need longer burn times- it's criminally short compared to Fusees (A Trip should also emit much more light). Maybe all the flares should be waterproof, if it's even remotely era-accurate. Hopefully they'll add Sand or Ash buckets to put out small fires. I think every month Cash should be reset back to 12-15k. Maybe even 8-10k, but that could be punishing at lower levels. That would eliminate "whales" and push cheaper loadouts occasionally
I almost think they could set your allowance based on rank. With higher ranking players getting less cash each payout... but that would tick off the people that always run meta...
@@HuntShowdownLab That would be too much control imo. I don't think anyone wants a true "wipe" each month, but a cash reset wouldn't be the worst. After they fix connection issues- I lose a lot of hunters due to the servers not loading me in. Btw, will Alert Trips set downed bodies on fire, too?
Really they could just put a 75K or maybe even 50K hunt dollar cap and it’ll help to some degree otherwise if you guys wanted that kind of thing they’d have to incorporate an occasional wipe
i don't think dragons breath needs to ignite dead hunters, people say dragons breath is bad but i think it supports a hit and run style. sure you trade off some lethality for the chance to ruin a player for the rest of the fight. idk i think its unnecessary but the fuses and flares sure why not.
I think the decoy fuse explosion might be a little OP, but maybe people won't bring them as often as we think? I also think the addition of some of the custom ammos for this patch might be a little too OP as well, and the 8 minute poison bomb thing might shift us even harder into the antidote shot meta, but beside those things, I think all the changes and additions to the game were just fantastic and I can't wait to see them.
I’ll go into more detail next time i cover a patch. I was testing the water to see if people were interested in my takes. I’ve had this comment a number of times, so I’ll be more detailed next time for sure! Thanks for the feedback! In the meantime, the official hunt UA-cam has a video going over the changes.
@@HuntShowdownLab I know where I can find full patch notes. I was tryna say when you talk about the updates, also briefly explain what they changed, otherwise it's hard to understand what you are on about
@@red_menace1829 The MMR rating system pits you can against everything but 5-6 star as a solo in 6 star, six stars should be exclusively pitted against 5-6s to show some actual skill, instead of this bottom feeder behaviour.
I honestly don't really care about flare/starshell/ fusees buff, everytime I'm solo Necro and they find out I get burned anyway with a lantern or molotov, then camped. I hardly ever see anyone, enemy or ally, using or carrying any of those items, and I don't think this will change that too much, it's still gonna be very uncommon to see those in a match. On the other part, I really like the changes to legendary hunters, not the price part, but the thing that they will come with decent traits or at least points. At one point I had tons of money, I did not prestige very often back then, but now I do it very often, so I never have too much money, and sometimes I buy legendary hunters again and again and waste lots of money (once I bought the same hunter for over 15 minutes non-stop, I wasted like 10k cause the traits were awful. I lost both money and a decent amount of time, 15 minutes in front of my tv doing nothing felt endless). So yeah, I'm happy with those changes, no more wasting time, money and patience trying to get a decent hunter that has at least over 5 points.
serial prestige-r here, always fucking broke in this game lmao i think i dont care about money number go down as long as prestige number go up, basically 😂
I have around 450h in Hunt and I'm constantly going broke. Last 2 days I lost almost 10k and I'm rn on like 6k left. And I'm even a decent player most of the time xd
Percentage tax that ramps up the more cash you have. The tax hits you every say two week's. You will not be taxed if say you have only 8000 dollars or fail to PLAY a match through a tax cycle. To bigger player's yes this is a punishment but that where you hang the carrot. Either rewarding blood bonds based on how much money they got taxed or possible exclusive skins that you only keep access to so long as you keep losing money from a tax level like gold or silver skins. This might even encourage some players to use cheaper gear in hopes to keep there dollars high for tax time
I think its stupid I cant use free hunters cause I like to save money ,I'm a cheapskate in real life and in game and believe it or not I find that fun. free hunters are fun to use and a challenge i hated the game when I try hard it so I decided to play for fun and use free hunters with wacky loadouts if I use a free hunter I have nothing to lose I like to play how I want to not the how the games wants me too but that said I like most changes
Starshells get their first actual buff in like, ever, and don't even get mentioned verbally a single time in this video lol. Goes to show how meaningless they are
Naah i'd think it can be a nerf, after all you turn off fire when you get up, lantern remain more scary cause fire stai around you, fuse or things like that start it up but you can just revive yourself, ok now we have more possibility to burn corpses but that's not a nerf at all.. Hunt have more and more ways to do or deviate something problems
Finally can use the starshell on my lemats without being just a meme, replacing slugs might be though but i usually run a melee anyways Also doesn't dragonbreath also ignite?
i rather see them spend the time on getting rid of the cheating i know there’s only so much they can do but the aim bot bullshit is getting old they have seemed to fix the reshare issue but still to much cheesy stuff going on
i disagree regarding the allowance thing i want to keep my money why do you have to take it from me and i see no meaning to prestige for now i dont play daily and i want to run what ever i want to run if i want to go mosin i can if i want to go centinial i can if i want to go cheat winfield i can but to push me to take something i dont want to uset just because you gave me an amount of money and i lost 4 or 5 matches in row thats stupid
Unlimited self revives is dumb. It should only a one time use perk. Managing the economy so that more people can play the game with hunters they have more fun with is good for the game. Obviously boosts to new players are difficult to balance against the desires of much more seasoned players but any game will die if there isn’t an avenue for new players. Also, nerf Necro. That is all.
I actually play mostly solo, since I’m on console and a lot of my old crew just don’t play anymore. I would have to say that Necro as it is isn’t what needs to be nerfed… it’s how Necro affects a solo’s MMR that needs to be nerfed.
There is no inherent issue in how nexro works. Being able to revive if your enemy is stupid is a fair tradeoff if you consider you are playing 1v3, a situation which any half organized team will usually be able to win easily. It is more about how nevro affects your mmr, since it leads to some very janky MMR making it so that you are playing against people way out of your league

I mean, the flare change isn’t TOO bad… half the time you get insta burned and camped anyway, so this just means they can get it over with lol
Yup. Less time staring at the ground, waiting on a dead man.
I think it's a great change actually
@@sadrarezaee3190 I mean, I exclusively play solo v trio so it’ll probably be more annoying for me than others. I don’t care too much either way to be honest. I’d rather things stayed as they were, but you know.
just think back to before solo necro, getting burned didnt matter at all back then. so getting burned as a solo isnt much of an issue for me@@ieajackson5518
Console player?
I'm looking forward to actually having a use for the shotgun part of the LeMat pistol I bring for fanning. Now I can give it the starshell round to burn hunters, freeing up both a tool of consumable slot.
Try slugs. It has the same range as the two slot shotties
Good job for the Crytek's content creator program, keep up the good work👌
Thanks, will do!
The key is " XWDG4-ZYEPQ-AOTCT" and it's already been claimed.
Congrats to the viewer who got it and Better luck next time to the rest of us!
i was prestiging purely for the skins, now stuck on prestige 28 because of need special ammo for the events to finish missions for points. So im appreciating this change so i doesnt need to grind seweral days for a bow and then loose it again quickly.
Most heartbreaking thing in this update are removed generators :(
The workbench is a consolation prize for what role I liked generators filling, and that was something to fight over in the compound that wasn't an obvious vantage point or the bounty. Hopefully they bring more unique compound wide interactions next year.
Wait, what? You mean the ones that are on on night maps etc?
They removing them? That sucks
@@maxanderson755
Metal doors and the guaranteed arsenal locations do fill the contest role, too, but they're more limited in scope since it's generally only affecting one path / sightline and rule of 2 limits the visits you'd need to consider at arsenals anyways.
Starshells on the Lemat. Stonks to the moon.
Playing solo only makes me nervous haha. I think the fusees and ranged corpse fires should have a timer, so you’ll probably be screwed, but maybe have a bar left to extract or Hail Mary. Congrats on creators!
Nice video bro, good quality, sub!
Crytek wants to make sure that when they release the engine and the game gets some attention and new comers those new people will have a welcoming experience so they stick around as loyal customers like you and I 🤠
Yeah, if it's overtuned in a direction, i'd rather have it be in favor of accessability. There's enough hurdles already to get into this game.
The crytek devs also seem to be looking at their statistics wrong
It's clear they're nerfing and buffing weapons based on how often hunters take them, instead of the feedback we give
What Crytek need to understand is some weapons are going to be strong, and some weak - it's just how it is
They seem intent on nerfing anything they see too often, and buffing things that they dont
But not in a logical way
My problem with the current prestige is that I'm not even into very OP - late game weapons. I just want to play my Bornheim Match with a Hand Crossbow. It's super annoying having to play for 35 levels with guns I don't enjoy, and pretty much not having fun until then. I think that getting all the base weapons, but you need to unlock each variant and speciall ammo is a great in between.
Then stop fucking prestiging 🤡 it literally provides no fucking benefit 🤡
The reworking of controller settings and functionality is a great feature many have long awaited.
I fully support controller accomodations. I think they would have to WAY overtune it to actually have it be an advantage over mouse and keyboard.
I'm nearing prestige 3 and I have never enjoyed any gun as much as the Winfield family. You know what they say...
There's no winfield without win
Personally i have limited time so i never intended on prestige because of how limiting it is on loadouts so now ill actually look at prestiging
Yea every 5 prestige up to prestige 50 (Iirc) gives a legendary skin so it's worth it, especially now.
Dragonsbreath from what i have heard can ignite downed hunters also now, so taking half DB on romero isn't a meme anymore just practical
Do love lemat shotgun is actually viable now as well
Katana looks fun. The quick draw is cool!
I love the change, maybe i will now try something else than Winfield. Nah i probably stay on winfield.
@@HuntShowdownLab true. If you don’t ASAP you’re just giving yourself another disadvantage.
My builds are not really most expensive nor cheepest, one game costs me about 800 $
450 on consumables (Drugs are expensive kids) and 400 for weapons and tools, sooo middle of the pack.
@@IGI282 i mean yeah the new system might be exploited and i will NEVER see free hunters anymore :(( i mean HOW would i ever lose 550k hunt dollars? xD. (yes it took me ages to get up here i forgot how long maybe 2 years?)
but yeah hunt will taketh alot from you sometimes.
Which matters until you realize that you can shoot them to put them out.
the code is at 2:53 it already has been found
All that was needed was for the oil to remove the contraband from the weapon so it could be sold. And it is the player’s personal decision to sell him the stolen goods or use them in the future
honestly they need to jack the cost of everything up, that would make a lot of the money problems fix themselves, you'd have to consider what you could afford, i have never ever struggled with money in hunt over my 200 hours
honestly would rather be burnt than trapped as a solo let alone die to traps its just sad, necro is pretty essential for high level solos to enjoy their time
Better yet on the money factor you should be able to sell contraband weapons for half price
Now they really need to start adding ways to put hunters out. I really hate being shoehorned into bringing chokes EVERY game, and now it's even more of a thing.
I bet it wouldn't be too difficult to add water buckets to compounds. I mean, there's lanterns all over the damn place.
Choke Beetle, Rain, Tapping the body, Choke bolts for hand crossbow:)
@@xDjembex lanterns are oil fires, so a sand or ash bucket would be better.
Interesting, I wouldn't mind the water bucket idea.
(Or just adding convenience like not needing to buy and equip a melee tool and/or first aid 80% of the time now )
People doing well however can continue to buy whatever they want and can play more recklessly with their buffs/consumables.
Hunt lab this is was a good video. Maybe you can also make a video where you talk solely your first impressions of the new weapon variants & weapons?
I love all these changes tbh.
ten round stimulus packages would be great for all players.
Great video man! 🔥
Glad you liked it!
The long barreled Pax is going to be soooo good
I think the changes to the Bloodline unlocks are great.
Im mostly happy I can prestige and use the bow immediately rather than eait 55 levels suffering
The only one I don’t agree with the decoy fuse change.
And I say that as an enjoyer that brings them in every game, they were already powerful!
"would flares set off tripmines?" Test it out in the firing range.
@@arattactician5697 let me rephrase. Will a *burning body* set off trip mines. Happy?
Strangely i had no Quests demanding a special Kind of ammo for a While now. Mostly Stuff like use that Gun / Variant for Headshot or X Damage.
1ms Ping!!!! Need to move there ASAP!
Dunno, I have a feeling that an allowance system where you gave to plan your money for the next 10 rounds would hurt me more than better players.
phy sis and flares
@@HuntShowdownLab Whats the Meta on your opinion currently? Im sitting on 3k hours and didnt saw a "Meta" for the last 1 1/2 Years tbh.
Really they could just put a 75K or maybe even 50K hunt dollar cap and it’ll help to some degree otherwise if you guys wanted that kind of thing they’d have to incorporate an occasional wipe
that's a good question@@nickmclean4004
i don't think dragons breath needs to ignite dead hunters, people say dragons breath is bad but i think it supports a hit and run style. sure you trade off some lethality for the chance to ruin a player for the rest of the fight. idk i think its unnecessary but the fuses and flares sure why not.
Having half the guns locked out till level 60 does kinda drag
I think the decoy fuse explosion might be a little OP, but maybe people won't bring them as often as we think? I also think the addition of some of the custom ammos for this patch might be a little too OP as well, and the 8 minute poison bomb thing might shift us even harder into the antidote shot meta, but beside those things, I think all the changes and additions to the game were just fantastic and I can't wait to see them.
poison bombs can be countered with choke bombs, so you don’t have to take an antidote shot to deal with them
13 days later... everytime i die as a solo i get burned by flares. yes it's OP
@@chocolates182 I've only been burned by flares by a handful of people, plenty of people still just use lanterns and stuff instead.
I like Necro as solo cus im not greedy, oh you killed me once? ight enjoy that bounty brother im off to the exit.
Next time you make a video, maybe talk about the changes next time? Still have no idea what they changed for prestige and what they did to necromancy
I was tryna say when you talk about the updates, also briefly explain what they changed, otherwise it's hard to understand what you are on about
@@prizrak636that makes perfect sense. I’ll be doing that in the future.
Necromancer needs more nerfs / be more limited.
Tell me you're a 3 star without telling me
@@red_menace1829 The MMR rating system pits you can against everything but 5-6 star as a solo in 6 star, six stars should be exclusively pitted against 5-6s to show some actual skill, instead of this bottom feeder behaviour.
Necro needs no nerfing, it's pretty bad already
I see and it is very nice. Necro and solo necro is one o the biggest mistakes in Hunt.
They solved one problem and created a dozen other. I think they’re living towards it being in a better spot though
serial prestige-r here, always fucking broke in this game lmao
i think i dont care about money number go down as long as prestige number go up, basically 😂
Fusees change is great as a solo hunter b/c chokes are a lot less valuable to us
Fusee
This might even encourage some players to use cheaper gear in hopes to keep there dollars high for tax time
That's interesting model, so blood bonds become a reward for doing well with cheap gear.
Yeah, I feel like they should always include one free hunter.
What are u saving for? Money is designed to be spent.
@@JohnJohnson22299 i just find it fun for me
Starshells get their first actual buff in like, ever, and don't even get mentioned verbally a single time in this video lol. Goes to show how meaningless they are
I thought of that when I was editing in the section titles…
Hunt: Babymode
but still.. why prestige? i was waiting for them to give something meaningful for prestige not make it less annoying
Is the key single use? If not, I'll give it to a friend and get him into this great game
Single use
Finally can use the starshell on my lemats without being just a meme, replacing slugs might be though but i usually run a melee anyways
Also doesn't dragonbreath also ignite?
It does not
yup, it does. After the patch that is.
yes, dragon's breath ignites, but incen ammo does not
@@yeetgrenade7492 yeah fair, incendiary ammo doesn't have as many down sides so it doesn't need it anyway
2:54 for anyone wonder
W HUNT
At this point Crytek is just making changes just to inflate their patch notes
Changes that were otherwise unnecessary, or nobody asked for
lightfoot nerf lol
actually if you hit a live hunter it takes 2 fusees to ignite them so do your research next time 🤓
whats the nerf to necro?
Fusees, Flares, and Starshells can burn bodies, so it's now a lot easier to have enough fire to burn them every time you down them.
i rather see them spend the time on getting rid of the cheating i know there’s only so much they can do but the aim bot bullshit is getting old they have seemed to fix the reshare issue but still to much cheesy stuff going on
i disagree regarding the allowance thing
i want to keep my money why do you have to take it from me and i see no meaning to prestige for now
i dont play daily and i want to run what ever i want to run
if i want to go mosin i can if i want to go centinial i can if i want to go cheat winfield i can
but to push me to take something i dont want to uset just because you gave me an amount of money and i lost 4 or 5 matches in row thats stupid
Fuse-is not fuse-ez sir
It is more about how nevro affects your mmr, since it leads to some very janky MMR making it so that you are playing against people way out of your league
are you using an ai voice?
