Had my ata sp a few years now and love it but I wish there was all the options you can get now back then.
More adjustment would be great. And like you said being a taller guy I needed just over an inch added to the stock length.
Fitted a graco adjustable butt plate it’s now pretty much perfect!

How many rounds a month do you put through it mate? I have one as a backup gun curious as to how much people shoot theirs
I wish the ata over unders were more readily available in the us. I'd love to have the laminate model. Even better if it came in a 32" 20ga.

Just bought same model shots as good as it looks.
I think the ATA laminate looks better then Brownings offering the colour looks lovely it would make a great working gun or weekend clay gun

I'm on the lookout for a gun for my daughters to shoot, and this in a 28" might just be the ticket as they need something with an adjustable comb.
We have one of the standard laminates. No adjustment and as you say for the cost you cant beat an ATA.

That could be a three part series, as ATA has three very different auto loaders to choose from.
My mate owns an ATA and you know what, it's not half bad. I paid three times as much for my B525.
Is the 525 any better, well, materials wise yes, it's like comparing a top end Ford with an entry level Audi. Plenty of people swear by Ford though.
But you know what, if you want a solid, decent, brand new gun with a good warranty and don't have £1,600 to spend on a base entry Audi then these are probably the one to look at.
If you find you like the sport, sell on after 2 years, lose £250 on the gun private sale and upgrade. Sell a brand new 525 after 2 years and although the % depreciation will be far less, the actual financial loss wont be... food for thought for the first timers.
Oh... and if you drop your new 525 you will cry... if you drop your new ATA, you'll get over it.😊
Agreed on most points for sure. Difficult to get ones head around the new generation of cheap guns actually being OK!
@@tgsoutdoors Yes... and there is a reason why I was happy to pay three times as much for my 525.
There are no two ways about it; my 525 is a better gun, it is better engineered and speaking as an ex toolroom engineer, I was influenced by this. Would I swap...no!

TGS Outdoors I must admit, I was in the local gun shop. Saturday picking up a couple of Wingmaster I bought from Holts and I saw one in the shop. I was sooooo tempted, but I’m out of space in the cabinet at the moment!
I need to clear out another shotgun before I can buy one. The Lincoln .410 OU is the likely next victim.....

I have tried two of these but found the trigger pulls far to heavy they must have been over 5 lbs other than that I though they are good value for the money . Good video keep them coming
You can’t have everything for the price - I agree that the triggers are rather budget!
I’ve been to view one of these guns today and was very close to purchasing.

99.5% certain that I shall be going back to the RFD on Monday to buy one .
So is it just the lack of extended chokes, laminate stock and differing action finish that sets this “below” the super sport version? Any other differences?
Who'd of thought you could get your gun to match your flooring lol. A good attempt at something different and possibly more sustainable?. Will be good to see how it fares. Never know perhaps TGS will bring out a laminate in the future 🤔😉

Cheap as Chips?. . Was looking at one few weeks ago amazing value!! . .Don,t know how they can do it for the money. . .
Cheap labour, cheap materials, home grown wood etc, plain jane shotguns aren't anywhere near costly to make as upper grades. That being said they won't be making much money per gun
Is this model specific for the UK market? Can't seem to find it on their website, or in the catalogue.
I saw this hand finished, hand engraved ATA brand new for £1500 in my local the other day... Have you had this gun in? (Can't remember the model) but looked amazing for the price and brand!

Hey, you don't know if one can buy only the laminate stock and the forend? And use that on the ata sp Sporter I already have? The reason I ask, is that the
the original woodwork swells as f... in rain and bad weather, regardless how much you take care of it with oil.( I use it a lot at hunting)
Therein lies the issue with some of the cheaters guns wood quality.
Best to call Sportsman Gun Center the UK importer and ask the question.

Hi TGS. What do you recommend using to touch up matt black barrels? If I wanted to get them repaired properly how much is it likely to cost? Thanks
There is very little you can do that won’t stand out. You will be best off replacing them, or perhaps cerkoting them. Going to be somewhere from £150 -£250
