Pretty interesting dialogues in this comic. And poor diamond cutters, their deaths were terrifying
Considering they got killed by Shadow Androids, I would imagine that if Shadow ever finds out that Mimic will end up on his very special list that he will look forward to crossing off.

This story shows how Whisper has a trauma related to the death of those close to her and that's why she decided to isolate herself to not befriend anyone and risk what happened to the Diamond Cutters happened again with other people, tense... At least it also shows that friendships can help to overcome traumas, even if a little, it's good to let off steam with a friend

Now she is friends with Sonic and pals thou, you know the guys that have defeated eggman hundreds of times, saved the world countless others, probably the entire universe in a few ocasions, if whisper is soo scared of mimic i wonder why she doesnt ask them for their help i'm sure tails could cook something to defeat his mimicry abilities and a knife would be useless against someone like Sonic or Amy

Love how eggman is responsible for so many tragedies in this franchise and Sonic just always lets him go and crack jokes at him.

It has only just occurred to me, but the Diamond Cutters weren't killed off in a vague capacity such as a big explosion or something else... the Shadow Androids (which I don't remember having any capacity for ranged attacks aside from a few rockets) likely ripped through them or beat them to death.
I never realised how brutal their last stand must have been, or how hopeless it must have seemed.
Yeah, and did you see that thing during Eggman and Mimic's conversation, it took a while for the Shadow Androids to say "Mission Complete" Which probably means they put up a fight 😥😭😭

Some of the Shadow Androids' displays were red and crossed out, so I'd like to think that the Diamond Cutters took at least some of them out before they met their end.
I really want to commend Tangle and Whisper’s VA’s for bringing these two characters to LIFE and beyond. As well as the other VA’s for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, etc. You guys are doing PHENOMENAL. You guys (as well as the IDW writers) are what Sega NEEDS.

I really loved how this episode came out. This is probably RJ's best performance as Tangle, and the Diamond Cutters sounded great too.

Ths weight of Whisper’s backstory was preformed with so much emotion. You guys aced it!
I can’t help think that Whisper will have to sooner or later inform Shadow about all this, including the Shadow Androids that Eggman could of still used. Cause It sounds like Mimic will become a problem for Not just whisper, but also for Shadow too.
Seeing how Sega wants the writers how to write their characters, Shadow would not care in the slightest he would ignore her because he hates everyone.
I really hate how Shadow is written and Ian Flynn does too but he has no choice because Sega tells him what to do in these stories
It would be cool if there is a comic featuring the two but then again, Mimic is no fool to fight someone stronger then him. He relies on emotional manipulation and tactics and dirty tricks to win his battles.

When Whisper hugged Tangle I almost cried. Like, the eyes were getting real waterry for these anthropromorphic beans. That was way more emotional than I was expecting.
It's no wonder Whisper doesn't talk much and prefers her space. But Tangle is probably the best person to help Whisper heal.
I love Tangle's positivity and cheerfulness and how she cares for Whisper! Also the hug was so wholesome!

With his cunning and ability to take any form, and the fact that he whipped his data from the Eggnet, Mimic is still a grave threat not to underestimate. He’s more of an opportunist, but he was still able to escape Eggman’s grasp after the events of “The Bad Guys”. Mimic would’ve been the perfect culprit for The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. Considering it’s a murder mystery game, and he’s one deadly hitman.

I wonder if Whisper was this shy around people before she lost her friends. Regardless, such a traumatic experience may have left some emotional and possibly mental scares. Considering how attached she becomes to Tangle in later issues.😢
Whisper needs friends and a lot of hugs after losing so much. Everything flowed so good here and I wanna help her out too! Got me right in the feels!

I'll be honest, the small pause in that last line reminded me of G-Man, which gave me a little bit of chills. You really outdid yourselves with Mimic's voice.

imagine if these characters and story arcs were in the games.
Ian Flynn as Head Writer, combined with the writing team of the Yakuza games would make a phenomenal story together. Both know how to interweave the light and dark aspects of a story to make the emotional impacts hit hard and deep.
This is probably my favorite dub of yours now. This was amazing!

Seeing the big significance Tangle had on Whisper in this mini series in helping her open up to others again, it makes what happened to Tangle in issue 24 much worse. Not only did the audience lose one of the best IDW Sonic characters temporarily in Tangle, Whisper basically had to repeat history with losing another friend. There is no wonder Whisper had a nervous breakdown in that issue, and would have probably have killed Eggman herself for costing her two groups of friends if not for Cream talking her out of it.
Awesome job on the comic, you guys! I'm not gonna lie tho, I can't get over the fact of how well you nailed the talking wisp voice. Great job, everyone, and keep up the amazing work! ;)

I got to say the music of each moment is really good. In fact one of the music during Tangle and Whisper moments after the back story reminds me of the fan made Sonic Omens game music. I'll give you guys each a thumbs up for the hard work and effort that you did and I hope to see your next Comic Dub someday soon in your time and pace.
Most of Omens was actually composed by the same guy who works on our dubs (Techno Cinema)!

Whisper is much related to Shadow tragedy. They're both lost to their precious ones after being betrayed or cruel fate. They're both become distant and cold but can learn to regrow their heart a bit

I always thought mimics voice would have been starchy, since his mouth kinda reminds me of a scarecrow- But I adore the voice you gave him!
His "scarecrow" mouth is him shapeshifting to make it look like a skull and therefore more threatening. He looks normal in the scenes set in the past.

So, I'm late as hell to this, but right before the battle for Angel Island, Blaze questioned if Whisper could be trusted since virtually nothing was known about her.
During this time, she and Shadow were in the same room. It was never pointed out, but Whisper was DEFINITELY mean mugging Shadow at the time.
I trust I don't need to explain why.
If Shadow and Blaze found out the reason behind THAT.... It's octopus cooking time!!!
Soon this is all going to end. One way another, the diamond cutters will end. Cant wait to see you next time!
8:21 Easily one of my favorite moments in the entire miniseries of Tangle and Whisper. I wonder what soundtrack is playing over this scene because, it’s truly powerful and creates a fantastic mood and atmosphere! I love these two characters, and can’t wait to see more of them!

This comic has such great characters and writing and doesn't feel any less fun even with the serious tone. If anything it enhances the comic.

God I love these 2, the Diamond cutters are cool as well, and Mimic was an interesting concept for a antagonist.
We can only imagine how bad Shadow would react if he found out someone killed a people with death machines that look like him.

Given how he's being written just recently, he probably wouldn't care. Shame really, especially when you consider what he was like back in SA2, how hurt he was about Maria.
5:25 The way Mimic says that shows he kinda cares for Whisper a little.
And In Tangle and Whisper 2, as Mimic Locked them inside with the bombs, when he said, "Rest in peace, Whisper.", the way he said that made me think he actually meant rest in peace. Like real peace. 5:51 "Eggman's goint to filet me alive!" That is so funny. I also really like Slinger's sorta Spanish (mixed with like a little bit of british) accent.
He was nervous that Eggman was beginning to ask questions about Whisper. Not for her wellbeing, but for his own. As in a "did you get ALL of them?" Way. And he's nervous because he didn't.

I just notice in tangle and whisper miniseries, mimic wasn't not plan of killing whisper. until eggman threatened mimic kill her, before do something horrible to him not doing his job. It kinda make me thinking mimic kinda some what a have soft spot for whisper, that he didn't let her get disintegrated by shadow Androids like rest the diamond cutters, it kinda prove he care about whisper more than the rest diamond cutters. He rare let them die and burtal by getting kill by shadow androids, this prove that don't care least about them more than whisper, this prove that whisper like the only diamond cutter he care about.
No, I disagree. The only one he cares about is himself. He was likely stuttering out of nerves because he probably wasn't expecting Eggman to be so thorough about exterminating the Diamond Cutters. All he cared about was how he was going to benefit from this.
The sound effect at 8:22 was clutch.

A. *THAT RAT* 🌋🌋🌋 The coward deserves to burn for that! Eggman may have been the flame but he pushed them into it.
B. I remember those Android shadows from the Shadow the hedgehog game. They didn’t seem like such a big deal because they were up against shadow and Omega. But to see normal-ish guys be ambushed by them, especially upon betrayal…Man she really lost a lot. 😔 When I saw her point of view I was afraid the base was going to explode, but this was somehow worse.
I’ve *never* underestimated Eggman as a definition of evil. Sonic Archies helped with that, but with all the wins and hope Sonic brings (and the poor telling of Sonic Forces 🤦🏾♂️) it’s sometimes easy to…forget a little about how much of a villain all around he is. From large catastrophic world ending or concurring to minor-personal eliminations.
Also, *dare* I say it, but is this making Sonic Forces…good?🧐………NAH. 😂 Just relevant. Impressive saving face like that.
