    Man the speed on that thing is awesome, what a brilliant idea using a window motor.

    Thank you for the idea. I did the same modification to my atv snow blower using the same electric motor. Works very well

    What a great mod! I may have to attempt this on my Wheel Horse 2 stage 48 inch

    Nice work. Not sure if you have or not but you could turn the switch sideways for chute direction.

    Perfect timing! I’m in the process of converting a Bolens 2 stage 46” snow blower to a 3 point mount for attaching to the rear of my Powermax and I was looking for a good solution....since I don’t have rear hydraulic remotes. 😎

    Always wanted to try an automatic chute rotator. But my 8 HP Snow King Tecumseh hasn't enough voltage. I could mount a small moto battery I guess ........?

    I am trying to find one like the one you show in the video but I can't can you tell me where you bought it?

    Very nice. I'm curious if there is a reason you didn't mount the switch so that it toggles left-right like the direction you want to direct the chute? Any problems with binding when it reaches the end of the gears on the chute?

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 років тому

      I have since rotated my switch so it is oriented the way you describe. I installed it that way just out of habit, and didnt even think of it when I was putting it in. No issues with binding. As soon as I feel it hit the end I let go of the switch. Thanks for commenting!

    What kind of switch did you use and were did you get the wire diagram to wire it all up

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 років тому

      Ethan Hartmann I didn't use a wiring diagram. I just know this stuff. I used a momentary on off on switch from eBay. I will make another video showing how to wire a motor like this. Meanwhile search my channel. I already have an excellent video on how to wire tractors

    YESSSSSSSSSSS!! First like!!!! but I gotta Gig you for not using oil when using the lathe and drill press!! lol.. Dude this is a sweet mod. But tell me what you think of this suggestion. A ring around the base of the chute about 2 inches wide..to cover the slots and the sprocket. This any blow back, or falling show before use doesn't build up in there.

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 років тому

      I do use oil and cutting solution. Just didn't make the video cut.

      That's a good idea about having some kind of hood to prevent snow from gumming things up! Thanks. I'll see what I can do.

    Very cool Norman but it would be nice to have you explain the wireing

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 років тому

      Dave Ackerman 1967 I think I will make a separate video doing that. Thanks for the suggestion!

    • @jhitt79
      @jhitt79 7 років тому +2

      Dave Ackerman 1967 its 12v.
      A 12v motor will spin one way then the opposite way when the polarity is reversed. The polarity is reversed via the switch, it doesn't get much easier.

    • @davessmallenginerevival2847
      @davessmallenginerevival2847 7 років тому

      jhitt79 I'm sure it is but wireing is not my strong point if I'm shown I will get it

    • @Isavetractors

      You're not alone. Our office gets hundreds of calls a year helping with wiring issues. I will make a video next week on this particular wiring job and make it very easy to understand. The switch wiring is what hangs people up since there are 6 prongs.

      Mute the audio, then we can't here you when you talk. The music would not be so bad if it was not as loud as you talking. That is a problem with all the you tubes.
