Well you do have to discard but he cycles so that is nice, the blocker and power buff aramaki gives himself add so much value though, jack is really good but in my testing the ability to swing 11 with no don investment and get a blocker out of the way if needed is huge for closing games out. If you do decide to try the jacks out instead let folks know in the discord.
These were great matches, but why not KO the high cost moms? Bottom Decking means they could eventually find them again, they have no way of grabbing from trash.
The bottom deck vs. Koing wouldn't really change much in this case. Their puddings had been mostly used, and even if they replay them, I already have multiple blockers and 0-1 life at this point in the game.The heal they could get doesn't amount to too much added value and anytime I can buff the Aramaki I would take it as it gives me a solid chance to have a strong finisher with no don investment.
Leo is a solid option, brook is super good because he is a great recursion piece and a good target for rebecca, but if you cant afford him or don't own him 3drop koby or leo both can fit into the slot pretty good.

Most of the top lists in the east at this point have cut the card, its an alt win con more than anything, and its not really needed in most match ups though it can give you a shot in some. I don't think it's a have to run anymore and if folks want it as the main wincon feel free!

What do you think about Jack instead of aramaki? He doesnt have blocker but is cheaper, has +4 cost and you dont have to discard a card
