BeamNG team is in it for the long haul. It’s taking a long time, but it’s gonna revolutionize every aspect of vehicle simming before it’s done, from Motorsport to truckin’ simulation.
It definitely will, it also has the advantage of having such broad appeal compared to track racing sims. Currently the main area where it lacking is the tyre model, which is something they are working on, but who knows when they are ready to update it. But the depth they are putting into it is incredible. Like if you look at the trailer features and coupling they added in the newest update, it is beyond any truck sim.

Only if you want the best graphics, I run mine on Normal, with all shadows and others turned on, and so far had no issues with the game, plus there is mods to improve the graphics with photo mode aspects but for the gameplay, without affecting the performance @@Marder_IFV
It only took me the entire lifetime of the game to finally realize just how great it is. Love the destructive aspect of it, almost has that Burnout Paradise element to it. Keep up the good work, Theo!
The little things in this game give me way more hope for these smaller devs than AAA devs. Like buying a used car you can buy from dealers or from private sellers that sell from their house or parking lots. I cant wait to see what more the devs add with every update
Goddamn, 10 years and we still haven't even reached the 1.0 release of this game. The fact that the devs are still going with all this stuff is amazing.
And the fact that they didn't milk their fan base of money over the last decade like 90% of the industry would is amazing. Not to mention the price of the game has gone down over time, whilst they keep adding more awesome content. It's quite obvious they have profitable relationships selling tech.
@JBeamGT3 The price actually did raise once, but it was because of the Steam release. Back when you could only buy it on the forums (2015ish I think), it was 15 dollars, after the Steam page it was 25. Most of this is probably down to the cut Steam takes, but the price did raise, albeit at a time when content really started to be pushed out.

BeamNG has a lot when you look closely, some things in this game are hidden away and the developers don’t mention it. Not gonna lie theo you dont pay enough attention to this game, hopefully well see more videos in the future
10 years without playing, god you've missed a lot, even outside of career mode, I'd encourage going into freeroam and checking out everything. Massive strides in quality, remakes of most of the old vehicles and a bunch of new ones. Supercars, trophy trucks, buggies, wacky homebuilt offroad bangers thanks to a collab with Gambler 500, lorries, hot hatches, low riders...
10 yeas and still needs 10 years until complete development, idk if they earn enough to continue development they are by far the best and it's iconic popular game now
BeamMP with friends is the most fun I've ever had when it comes to racing games, I've at least put 30 hours into MP and the game on my own over 100, there is so much to discover!!!

I’ve played the game since it came to steam and it was impressive game back then, but now, it’s 100 times better. Beamng is also one of my most played games. I spend a lot of time on BeamMP with random people, racing, roleplaying, playing cops and robbers and just having fun in general. The career mode is also really good addition to the game, although it’s still W.I.P, its a lot of fun. I love the mod community a lot, because there is so many variety of cars, planes etc. I don’t care if the devs take a long time to finish the game, because they always deliver high quality updates, and that’s how they are already perfecting the game. And honestly, i think 21€ for beamng is not bad at all, due to the fact that the game is getting better and better each update.

If you get the customizable engines mod you can cheese the economic system by shoving a 14L engine on anything for the cost of a little over a regular one
For me, it's always been about the mods for this game, all the way from the BeamMonsters (CRD MONSTER TRUCK MOD) which is so insanely good now. All the way to the mod authors who have brought the C1 loop and all the JDM tuner car mods, there's so much that BeamNG offers now it's insane.
Some older guys will be dead by the time this game finishes, because based on the current "progress" (I am using the term loosely) it will take another 20 years to finish ! I wish BeamNG Developers weren't so darn lazy ! Or if I am wrong, and this is just their part-time job, just sell the codebase to another studio which has the resources to finish the game in the foreseeable future.
I played BeamNG for 300 hours last year. Overall the most realistic driving simulator ever. Period. No other is even close. The details in the pysics are just mental. This game is something truly special.
BeamNG is vehicle simulator. It's not for noobs. You have to know what you're doing to actually enjoy it. Apparently, Theo hasn't turned any assists off and still chooses to play on controller when he has a wheel. He'd have a better experience on a wheel.
Traction and everything in this game is spot on, even before. You just can't appreciate the actual speed that much so you think you are under-steering but you're just going too fast for turns. Also braking too hard before a turn will lock the wheels so you will fly forward especially on older cars with less electronic control. I play the game with a steering wheel full setup and its great.
Honestly I’m most excited for the career mode, wish it was a bit easier to make money, but i like how you actually have to work to mod cars rather than just having stupid amounts of money and you can buy anything Also, waiting 10min to repair a car is dumb
Why does this career mechanic that they use to remind me of TDU2? Where you go on foot and go hands-on approach with your car, instead of using fancy UI for all customization stuff in the game.
I played hundreds of hours of the early alpha, and on steam I have over 1k hours. The amount of stuff there still is to do when I get on beam especially with the constant updates just breaks my brain man. I could spend a lifetime on that game!
When i start career mode im just stuck in a closed garage, and cant get out. Must be dumb question, but what am I doing wrong? It doesnt start like this here. TIA

i been playing beamng mycareer but as soon as i buy workshop car(made by other players) the save game is getting rekt , my cars list is gone and im forced to reset all over again hope they fix it
I really want to play the game but can only play racing games in first Person and having no one in the car and seeing the steering wheel spin about with no hands is so off putting
The only thing I need from this career mode is more repair options - it can be cheaper to buy parts or a whole car than to repair it, but you're not able to XD

Beamng has to be one of, if not the best car game out there, impossible to get bored
But it is kinda spec hungry so it's best you have a good PC if you want the best experience

for AMD hardware you can run the game using vulcan for better results but it’s still not fully supported from what i know so bugs etc are present

I think BeamNG is undersold. It deserves to be priced higher. Too much innovation put into this software that'll likely improve in the future.

If you download the KLJP mods and the Hirochi CCF it will make 200% better! And it works on campaign mode

beamng multiplayer is a mod called beammp so ppl just dont buy beamng cuz they think the multiplayer is built into the game lol
BeamNG has a small dev team and has been in alpha since release its absolutely amazing, but try using a wheel so much better than controller
Jimmy Broadbent who does sim and real life racing says this game has the best real life rally and dirt racing feel he's ever played in a game.
