Casey’s Last Ride tells the story of Casey, a man who lives a dull and unhappy life. The title of the song is wide open to interpretation; it could be melancholic and refer to suicide or hopeful and refer to a positive change Casey is about to make in his life.

Never glancing in the mirror at the people passing by
Then he stumbles as he's leaving and he wonders if the reason

Lately I discovered this song and nothing but got hooked. Damn this lyrics and the melancholic yet profound voice of the legend goes by the name of Kris Kristofferson. Can't wait no longer to hit the country bar, grab my whiskey and get drunk with this song.
