Originally written for 26 episodes, executives abruptly cut it down to thirteen, forcing several loose ends to be tied up hurriedly late into the series and some characters' backstories being unexplored and their issues left unresolved on-screen by the time it ended. it makes sense and I prefer op1 because Kanade (Lia) sung it and she's the main character unlike Yui (LiSA) who also sings practically every other song, which gives op1 more of a unique feel
